Inverted rear wing brackets on top side does not create more down force rather more turbulence. What creates downforce more efficiently is the lower duffuser. A car is "faster" relative to top speed and "quicker" to a designated speed limit.
500HP out of a N/A 4.0L 6 cylinder engine that's street legal and emissions compliant is incredible. No doubt the Porsche engineers spent thousands of hours developing and tuning the powerplant.
Indeed. Even better is getting the 4.0 GTS cayman at half the price. Only 400HP N/A with 6 cylinders but for my everyday road use will tick all the boxes.
He's basing these scores on this specific spec. Do the scores on what we could get. He said Fun Factor would be better if it was a manual. Well, one can get a manual. He rated it low in Comfort, but you can get comfortable seats, not the buckets. Set aside the fact that we don't care about the comfort category with this car in the first place. We also don't care about what specific car Porsche lent for the press; we care about the car in general since we're going to pick what we want. Speaking of which, I got the call from my dealer two days ago so I can build out my GT3 later this year. C'mon, man! Edit: Value a "6" because you won't lose much? Are you kidding me? Value is a 10 because you could flip this thing for a big profit. Have you seen what the 991s are going for?
He has said it before: the score for the car is for the specific car he reviewed. Had he reviewed one with the specifications you stated, then the score would change slightly.
100% agree on value. I have a 991.2 GTS and being offered a lot more than sticker. Two years and 9k miles later. The prices are crazy. Going to sell mine as new GT3 comes in January. Zero chance you’re losing money on this car. So a rating of six is 👎

Imagine a sakurajima Mai GT3 😱😱
Strange that in the US the BHP are not up as here in Europe it's up from 500 bhp to 510. Not much, but together with the better downforce, weight saving and the new double wishbone front suspension, it really makes for a much better handling and faster car in general.
That 9000 rpm redline though..! 🤤
That side profile tho🥵

@@prasad530 i clicked the link, disliked and then came back to this one
Nothing beats the 911 side profile
I've never seen this guy drive any of these cars anywhere apart from poodling around his local roads with the occasional blip down a short straight to the next traffic light. Yet somehow is a expert when it comes to talking about the handling and driving them to their limits. LOL (I like him though)
Perfect timing right after i came home after school
Now it makes sense why there no was no video this morning
@Ika Ayu Spam
it probably would've got more views if he uploaded dis in da morning
TheSmokingTire and Doug uploading at the same time the test of the very same car... Love that combo!
Engineering Explained too. There was an embargo.
Wow, beautiful I also love how Doug is dressed in such a casual outfit !
Doug, your channel is one of two worthy of the notification bell being on...
The other being more Doug DeMuro.
This right here, is my dream car.
Man I was literally just searching to see if you released a new video, and vwala, here you are
@Ika Ayu Stop spamming your garbage channel.
voila?
@@moises9760 I think you mean VIOLA? But what does the poor redheaded stepchild of an orchestra have to do with this? /kidding
I knew the spelling police would arrive in time when I wrote that
@@moe4188 It's all good ☺️
Porsche: we’ve adjusted the transmission, wheels, brakes, glass, and even the engine to save weight.
Dodge: hehehe big 1000 hp SUV go BROOOM.
imagine a durango beating a gt3rs on the track lol
@@Ivannbeats Porsche is vastly superior than Dodge in terms of level of engineering put into their cars.... Dodge just dumps a hell lot of power in all their cars and don't care of anything else lol... Don't get me wrong, I'm a Dodge fan
@@naveengirish4724 i know lol, but still, dodge makes great engines
@@Ivannbeats agree
Love the manual transmission sales fact
Doug is AWESOME!!!!I could listen to him all day. Knows what he's talking about and his enthusiasm is contagious.👍👍
*Depressing moment when i realized this Porsche tires lip color is worth more than my entire vehicle.*
I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent on car configurators messing with 911s, this really is the dream car
This dudes wardrobe just doesn’t line up with what’s going on here. It never does 😆
I wonder if Doug would lose the audience if he started dressing posh
Man I freaking grew to really love porche especially these kinds
So a rating of six is 👎
@@snakeeyes9246 The review loses relevance in that case. Review for your audience. If you want to review the specific car then at least make a side note about how you can get the other stuff if you want. BTW, my 992 GT3 was delivered last month and it is phenomenal!
I am absolutely proud that the manual transmission sold a lot better than the automatic😁
Mat Watson from carwow used a specialized timing gear and managed to do 0 - 60 in 2.87 seconds, so please raise the acceleration score to a 10 of 10 for a perfect 69 DougScore ;D
