Thanks for the praise on the ChadShad. I was involved behind the scenes of the development of that bait. Pro Tip: with a slower, more methodical, reel turns (no rod input), you can make the Spro actually glide back and forth. It's not just a "chop" bait. 😉
That's awesome. I learned that while fishing it! You can get some pretty wide glides with it. I also noticed it pulls it up in the water column with those slower more steady reel turns, and the quicker chop reels bring it back down.
Only down only downfall about the Megabass mag draft is that it rolls over if your trying to speed it up a little. The bass Mafia dangerous swimbait is way better try it out sometime.
I've fished only the "Freestyle" model since they were introduced. I've even modified the 8" & 10" models to be weedless. you can change the weights, and vary what speeds you can retrieve it with that adjustability.
Yeah I don't like the restriction of having to reeling slow yep find a happy medium and that's just too much of a pain in the ass. Plus with the dangerous swimbait you can rig it in different ways. Plus I think you're going to have a better hook up if you use a trokar swimbait hook rather than the 1 treble hook on the bottom of the magdraft.
A little off subject but I didn't want you to know that I just received the new grey and white hoodie from my son for Christmas. I love it! Keep them coming
totally agree with you Tyler. I use the mag draft during pre-spawn and spawn to catch or locate the big ones. Once located, I can throw back in the area with a senko or smaller, swim bait, and get them to commit. I have not purchased the Chad shad yet, but I plan to.
The only big swim/glide baits I have tried at the River2Sea S-Waver 168, the G-Ratt Pistol Pete and Sneaky Pete and the Magdraft. I fish all of them on a Dobyns 734c and so far it's worked out well. I hope to really get on them this spring because I'm going to "keep it in my hands."
I don't think I'd throw a chadshad on your typical bass gear. That sounds like a good way to snap a rod and then send $60 sailing away. Magdraft is fine though and the S-waver 168
If someone is just getting started with glidebaits or hard swim baits a Catch Co. Bullshad or Bullgill is a great way to get started . Easy to fish and a great way to build confidence
During this "Down Time" is it best to change all the lines on the poles? Also what is your take on swivels? I only see straite line ties with most guys on video, I usually only take 2 poles out at a time, but change bait a lot.
Awesome video Tyler thank for another great informative video. Just wondering because of how much the mag draft weighs 1 oz and 1/4 and your rod only being able to throw lures up to 1/4-1 oz. Is there risk of breaking the rod? I was thinking to throw on a heavy power rod ? @BassFishingHQ
I put in my own big brush tail buy a extra absorbant brush 4 inch take apart use those bristles make your own bigger brush tail turns it into the highdollar o.g. kgb for 50 bucks and a 4 inch brush extra absorbent
So I fish the far north of Wisconsin and the UP, and I have questioning if there are any big swim baits worth trying. The majority of bass are either smallies or largemouth that range about 4 pounds and the forage is perch and bluegills up here. I was thinking of maybe trying the small size of the river2sea s waver. I don’t know if you guys have any suggestions?
It depends on weather or not you’re dragging bottom. Megabus also makes a Magdraft freestyle that you can hook weedless with an owner beast weighted hook 👍
If youre going to throw swimbaits save yourself a heartbreak and do yourself a favor and buy a dedicated set up. Dont throw chad shads on a flipping stick. Your welcome

Facts that’s what I do

The mag draft is designed to reel slowly. It even explains that in the product description.
And/or add weight
haha.
anything coming from Zaldain is trash. magdraft is deadly if you know how to fish it.

River 2 sea S waver is a good budget friendly option also. Also comes in various sizes and colors.

Heck yes!! Thanks so much for the support! You have a thoughtful son!

I'm near lake Norman, thanks!

The sneaky Pete is my favorite to throw. You can fish it so many ways and it is easy to fish without blowing it out on accident.
Man you keep coming up with some on point content
I love me a magdraft bite. Bass absolutely unload on them and it’s awesome. 😂
when they hit a magdraft they freaking HIT it. I know what you mean brother
I just got that bait for Christmas. I can’t wait to get out there and fish with it.
I saw you were worried about taking a hook in the one clip. Just a tip, secure the bait first, then grab the fish. I learned this the hard way.

Those were my first swim baits only thing I’d add is better hooks
@@edgarcruz5524 what hooks do you prefer? Just curious
Great points Tyler, may try some in spring!
Stay tuned, it's gonna be a good one.
Great video brother. As always. I love the content and information
Great video with some very good info!
Tyler how do you fish the Meg draft ?? I haven't ever tried anything like this. Please let me know how you do this thanks. Also enjoy your videos 📹
Excellent work . Great job
Hey Tyler have you tried the BB kicker from Big Bites Baits on ponds? I’ve been slamming largies down here in Florida on the citrus shad!
Can you make a vid on the floating worm / setup you use?
I have a few of them on the channel
th-cam.com/video/i5wCPP69avc/w-d-xo.html
i have a problem of locking these in my hand. being a bank guy and havin limited carrying of rods i typically dont have it on long, lol

I see you clutch darter!
Great tips thank you

How do think braid would work.
I cant catch squat on a magdraft lol. But i throw 9" wakes or glides and smash em i dont get it lol. I want to love the magdraft.
2nd time watching and I'm sure not the last. Great video
Can u get more hats in please, thanks
Just got some. Updating the numbers as we speak
I threw the Magdraft almost every time I fished last year and I didn't catch anything.
I put in my own big brush tail buy a extra absorbant brush 4 inch take apart use those bristles make your own bigger brush tail turns it into the highdollar o.g. kgb for 50 bucks and a 4 inch brush extra absorbent
With the Spro kgb Chad Shad, do you prefer the white/bone or the natural shad colors more?
I have one of those each. But if I could only have one I would probably go with the bone
The AGB is legit. Only downside is that it's very fragile.
If you can only buy one color of the Magdraft and the KGB , what would be the best color ?
Bone
White back shad magdraft. Bone KGB
@@BassFishingHQ Thank you
Cant find the links !
Hi ! Im from Sweden! Is't possible for me , to by your FINN clothes ? Cant find the info !:( regards Norbert

S Waver 168, Jackall Gantarel Jr., and Megabass Vatalion are good options
I've caught numerous smallmouth and large heads from 2-5lbs in the UP on glides... the spro chad shad is a great starting point.
I want to try the magdraft this spring. Does it hang up alot because it has a treble hook?
It depends on weather or not you’re dragging bottom. Megabus also makes a Magdraft freestyle that you can hook weedless with an owner beast weighted hook 👍
only in grass and thick wood otherwise it’s basically weedless. freestyle or not
Anyone that has fished knows what injured fish look like in the water inexperience is the problem.
What size do u wear, and how tall are u
I’m 5’9” 190 and where a large. They are pretty standard sizes. Very similar to aftco if you have bought from them in the past
I fail with swimbait fishing because I don’t have $200 to spend per lure 😂
If youre going to throw swimbaits save yourself a heartbreak and do yourself a favor and buy a dedicated set up. Dont throw chad shads on a flipping stick. Your welcome
If you ain't swimmin a temu Hammerhead Shark bait are you even fishin? 😂😂
What water temp, do you throw the floating worm ?
