Just got back from our place in Maine on a lake. What worked best for me was a soft plastic 5in paddle bait. I switched between (based on water color) watermelon black/red flake and a natural green/purple flake. That worked better than the 10.5in tail worm. My 4 pounder (from the bank) came on a paddle bait that a yellow perch bit the paddle off. Yes everything that worked was Texas rigged. Hope my info helps.
Doing a 13 boat Wednesday night league this year, used a lot of what you have taught including how you guys were splitting the catching/culling in the first night tonight. 3rd place total weight and largest bass, thanks a lot Tyler.
Army Vet here. Always loved fishing but just got into seriously in the last year or so. Got a kayak but working on getting a jon boat and building it into a bass boat. Thank you so much for all the knowledge. Caught a 5.5 pounder at the lake behind my house last week first time I went out on my kayak. Cheers from Southern Illinois.
Sad to see tournaments won or lost by the amount of electronics a guy can afford. I remember when a guy found and caught bass based on knowledge of traits, seasonal changes, etc. I know it’s all about winning money but electronics have gone too far in my opinion.
Yes, not a fan of video game electronics. Terrible that anybody with piles of money can beat up the most important fish in a system, the breeding stock. Like hunting white tail deer with drones.
No they aren’t, I’ve won plenty of local tournaments without live scope and I’ve lost plenty after I got 2 brand new lowrances. It makes it a lot easier, yes, but it doesn’t decide it
Unfortunately the days of just down imaging and paper contour maps is gone. Guided trips don't even have you doing much casting anymore, just a dude driving his boat around looking at his 6 screens. Eventually they will have 360 live scope, and fishing will be nothing it once was. Some people only fish to catch the biggest, other people enjoy it as a retreat from basically everything used in this video. I guess it's what you want to make it yourself.
Wow lucky for me find you channel you have good CLEAR voice easy to understand along with tone of GREAT information best wish to you Company Thanks from a weekend fishes men
This was one of my favorite videos that you have posted! Great information, something that we as viewers can go out and try to duplicate when trying to locate the right kind of bag. Thanks buddy! 👍🏻🇺🇸🎣
Great episode that shows the whole game from start to end. The graph screen captures are helpful. Would love to see more “live” graphing with explanations of finding fish.
Love the insight and blow by blow commentary. It really helps guys like me who can only dream of doing what you do. I use all your suggestions on the weekends and my fishing has improved tremendously.
Tell you what...I dont have a bass boat I just have a little Intex Mariner 4 modded out for my local lakes and our couple trips to Lake Gaston. But watching these types of videos, learning how to use my drone and my Garmin to look for cover spots like this has helped tremendously. Bigger fish of all types, more strikes and less time feeling like the fish gods hate me have been amazing! Keep the content coming and got a sub out of me!!
Great idea to jump on a lake without knowing anything about it. Just don't care for fishing with all the electronics. Misses the fun and challenge of it all. The hunt is what's fun! Just you vs the fish.
This is one of my favorite videos you’ve done. The way you edited the video to include a mix of fishing and teaching was perfect. Would love more videos like this. Thanks!
Absolutely love this series! Really shows the trails of a fisherman. Some good days some bad but great adjustments on the fly. Please please please keep this up!
Hey Tyler, I hate it when people gripe about electronics. I have to say that it helps but it still is a science. I caught the same amount years ago with the netindo electronics. I do get a little mad watching Milligan tearing it up.He must have 8000.00 dollars worth of electronics. I think you can still catch them with the common knowledge from fishing through the years. I love your attitude and the love you have bass fishing. Good luck. Your partner shows you don't need all that stuff. Good luck Tyler!
I watched this muted with CC on while in a conference call (lol). My favorite part is you described that last fish as - I assume - "a frickin pig". But CC said "African Pig" lolol.
Getting me one of your sunshirts. Might be a tad bit high but I gotta support you somehow. I learned like 70% of my fishing knowledge from you and I got guys like Trey McKinney as a literal neighbor.
Great video Ty. That was a respectable finish and informative. I keep hearing this playing in my head..you either win or learn....sometimes you get both. Blessings brother
Ive fished my whole life mostly from the shore/dock, wading into the lake, and a handful of times on my uncle’s boat. The only time I/we had a fish finder or other electronics etc, was on my uncle’s boat those few times. I feel like you become a better fisherman when you learn to find the fish with just your own knowledge and experience. Do they ever have any tournaments where they don’t allow electronics?
Man I love Mosquito Lake! I'm from Western PA about an hour drive. Minus Lake Erie obviously, I think it's the best Lake around. I apologize for commenting 15 seconds into the video. Time to watch the rest
13 years? I haven't fished there since I was a kid 33 years ago! Those were the days... I'm going to have to go back. Hopefully I can put this video to use!
Enjoy the content -- I got thinking... Wonder how many people out there that use these fish finders would do without one. I have fished all my life without a fish finder and I rarely ever get skunked. Saying this one of the reasons why I don't use a fish finder is (a) I am one cheap bastard (b) I like to go primitive and use my senses and knowledge of the body of water I am exploring.
Me and my papaw went and fished a part of the Ohio river we never fished before and we seen a storm coming so we stopped at this riff raff in the middle of the river and he broke off a monster small mouth that jumped a good 5 times before we left the spot and the only thing left of his spinnerbait was the bar with the blades on it
Mosquito lake best lake in ohio for crappie in my opinion. But your there for bass and I respect it my pb in that lake for bass is 7 pounds caught in the south end.
Dude you were on mosquito?!? Damn tyler I fished Tappan piedmont clendening, just won Saturday at Leesville I would have LOVED to meet you! Mosquito is a tough smallie lake!
Hey Bud! You're all sold out on the website! When are you planning a restock? Also, why not more black stuff? I'll wear black any day. Fashion over comfort, right?
Love your videos. Thank you. Maybe off topic but I’d like to know more about how you use your 360 compared with forward facing and side imaging. Maybe I missed it along the way if you’ve already covered it. Thanks for all you do. Good luck out there.
Painful... Almost seems like you have to zero or hero.Thats the way Florida my adopted state rolls. Unless it's bitter cold(for Fl.30's) gotta swing for the fence avg. "good" fish don't get it done the weights are so close. Enjoyed the vid I feel your pain.
Cool beans bro just so happens to be my home pond next time you go there Mecca sw of causeway. Horny toad. Not a bad job but you need 18-20 I’ve had 20 plus days with hollow bodies it’s a great fishery it can be tough tons of pressure on the points that’s why the pockets play so well. Peace and God Bless
We need more northern guys out there giving tutorials on the northern bass angler... thanks ty!
I think we have to many
@@takechanceslive Which channels would you say are dedicated to northern/midwest angling?
cast under pontoons and docks
@@takechanceslive Still waiting to hear back on this one, or did you pull that comment out of your ass.

I love the fish caddy system and the tip for each angler having different lures

The biggest bass they caught in the tournament was on a worm with no livescope 🤷♂️livescope is not required to win.

Amen 💯, a real fisherman uses his knowledge! What happens if one day your electronics don't work 🤔🙄🤦🏻

One of my favorite channels! I also received a blouse and gloves for Christmas. Great quality 👍🏻
Thanks so much for your time
This is the best style of video you have ever done! Please do more like this! Thank you.
18:27 It makes sense to let the person who just caught a fish get right back at it.
Absolutely love this series! Really shows the trails of a fisherman. Some good days some bad but great adjustments on the fly. Please please please keep this up!

Favorite video to date!
Come on now, that lake gets enough pressure as it is. Don't be giving out all the secrets!😉🤣
I missed the part where the Texas rig beat the locals
Haha! True
Somebody get this man a rubberized net. Those trebble hooks were constantly getting tangled in that net.
More of this please 👍
That was cool and Educational.
Thank You.

Fun lake. I should have won the BFL up there in 2021 but I lost a 4 first thing in the morning.
Such fantastic content thanks Ty.
Mosquito lake best lake in ohio for crappie in my opinion. But your there for bass and I respect it my pb in that lake for bass is 7 pounds caught in the south end.
Amazing video buddy‼️ 💯 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Fastest growing channel out here
Misleading title, but great video!
Bruh,....😂 we the people "locals" are whopping tournament anglers in kayaks and no electronics in Kentucky.
I live near there! Have you ever fished Pymatuning or Conneaut Lake?
Tyler, not sure if you mention it anywhere, but what kind of boat do you have? TIA!
Love your videos. Thank you. Maybe off topic but I’d like to know more about how you use your 360 compared with forward facing and side imaging. Maybe I missed it along the way if you’ve already covered it. Thanks for all you do. Good luck out there.
I have a video like that coming out in the near future
Thank you. I’m looking forward to it. Keep up the good work and best of luck on and off the water. Take care.

Is it possible to break down Lake Conroe one day? thank you
Love this!!!
You have more in electronics that i have invested in my whole boat lol....
This guy knows what he’s talking about
At this point it’s called finding fish instead of fishing , so many electronics
Used to fish that lake a lot, a lot of boats.
Great content brother
step one to find them: buy a $2,500 live scope
What was the rod reel combo and weight scale you use
Painful... Almost seems like you have to zero or hero.Thats the way Florida my adopted state rolls. Unless it's bitter cold(for Fl.30's) gotta swing for the fence avg. "good" fish don't get it done the weights are so close. Enjoyed the vid I feel your pain.
Lake is massive
It helps when the person has a good voice and is attractive 😅
anyone have bass fishing tips for southern california. i seem to only catch fish on drop shot and weightless t-rig
Man I wish our boat had a live scope man
Cool beans bro just so happens to be my home pond next time you go there Mecca sw of causeway. Horny toad. What rod are you using for your worm fishing?
