    Have a P09 and I love it. I do carry it OWB concealed. Super reliable.

      I carry inside waist band, vedder holster, and concealed. I've never had a single issue, over 1000 rounds, only other brand no issues with guns so far have been my fn s. Fn like cz are made for military and you can tell. To bad sig couldn't take a page from their book. 320 is bankrupting sig with lawsuits, what a military flop. Our government should be ashamed of themselves not picking glock, it should have won, why go with the worse gun just because of price.

    In the market for my first full size, I'm stuck between this and the 92x rdo full size. Maybe the sp01 but it's a bit heavy. Kind of looking for a da/sa full size but some striker fired guns have a chance as well. Do you feel the p09 recoils less than the 92x?

      It's night and day. The cz p09 recoil less, feels better in hands, and is way more accurate than the beretta 92x. I'm not saying the beretta is a bad buy, but cz is the king of sada, in my opinion. Having shot both personally, I recommend the cz p09, there are other options out there though. So if you can I would rent some at the range see what you like the best. I would also recommend the fn 509 over the beretta, hk makes good sada guns as well, even fn fnx 45 is a good option too.

      @@heirapparent333 I was also looking at the Jericho ii/941, xdm 5.25, Walther pdp 5”, hk vp9, S&w m&p2 5”. So I’m definitely going to rent a few. I think the cz p09 is looking like the winner. Not sure if I’ll find one to rent sadly. But I’ve shot a sp01 before and really enjoyed it, very accurate. Thanks for the insight

      IWI is a good company, so I you choose it , it'll be like the cz. Both good military and duty pistol makers. Alot of police use the cz p09 in Europe.

      I Do! I own both and even though the Berretta weighs a bit more the CZ's slide in frame design mitigates almost all the recoil impulse. Both are beautiful tack drivers! I installed the McCarbo spring kit in my 09 and man did it make a world of difference. I'm running the 92x with the stock trigger and it is a sweet treat to shoot! God Bless and shoot safe!

      @@careystuart thank you for the response. I’m thinking the p09 might be the winner, interested in the pdp 5” as well if I went polymer frame. But I think the p09 is too nice to pass on. Hoping to get some range time with each before I make a decision, I have not seen a p09/07 as a rental at any ranges unfortunately.

    Do you wish it had an adjustable rear sight, or has it been dead on from day one?

    • @heirapparent333
      @heirapparent333  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good since day one. Going to change to night sights soon. But current sights are good regardless

      @@heirapparent333 I appreciate you sharing that. I've never owned a gun that didn't have adjustable sights. Even a Red Rider BB gun from 50+ years ago had adjustable sights. I've never been much of a pistol guy, but I am thinking of getting my first 9mm handgun. I keep debating between the Canik Rival Dark Side, Walther PDP Full Size, & the CZ P-09. I like the Rival rear adjustable sight with front fiber optic sight. The PDP has a rear adjustable sight, but it's made of plastic, but it could be replaced with any aftermarket Glock sight. I know that I would like a single/double action hammer gun the most. My only reservation about the P-09 is the lack of adjustable sights (or after market ones). I don't want to own a bunch of 9mm guns. I want one that I will be happy with for a long time. Canik & Walther have much better warranties, but the P-09 is a proven platform. It's been a tough decision for me, even though I may become content with any of the three choices eventually.

      Nice. It's a shame to see everyone always wanting the smallest gun. Full or compact have their major advantages or them. To list a few capacity, less recoil, greater accuracy. Plus I feel more comfortable carrying and trusting my life to my full size gun.

      Hense why I just bought a 8 inch barrel 10mm, instead of a six inch one, like a 1911. Plus all these ammo companies test their ammo capabilities in 4, 6, or eight inch barrels. Their defensive ammo isn't meant to be shot out of 3 inch barrels. Except the rare ammo like sig 365 hallow points. Or underwood extreme defender. People don't even consider that implication.
