I already have a system. It's called no glocks or sigs. The only glock I would buy is the 10mm but only because of my banshee mags. I'm happy no relying on an out dated system like glock. Glock needs to update the look and feel of their guns.

It's not over thinking it, I've been using flint and striker to start fires since I was six years old, it's more about relying on one's skill set. A kid can't own a lighter but flint no problem one advantage. There are many advantages over lighters and matches. Such as never running out of lighter fluid or matches, magnesium burned hotter than traditional fires, and comes with built in tindling(magnesium). So on and so forth.
Theres nothing wrong with having a fire steel striker as backup but i would not advertise it as the primary firestarting method. Ive tried it it and its very hard to start a fire with it BUT its also very hard to do it with a BIC lighter...when you dont have any tinder. What i also find over the top is when people putting EVERY known method of starting a fire into their fire kit. I just put in ONE striker as backup and 2-3 BIC lighters as main fire starting method. After that the most important thing is to have at least some tinder in your kit so that you can ALWAYS start a fire even when you cant find any tinder around you. I usually use some cotton balls with vaseline with different methods to transport it. As EDC i like leaing them inside of 10cm long plastic straws and in my kits i usually put it in a ziplock bag that i put into another one to be sure it doesnt leak. You can buy pure magnesium rods (used for science experiments in schools etc) on Amazon. That magnesium is a lot better then the one from the cheap hybrid strikers. p.s. What i dont understand that some of my strikers go bad over the years. They oxidize and become dust no matter how i store them. It also doesnt seem to depend on the brand because i have one going bad and another one not while both are from the same brand.
Those emergency food rations should be opened and checked before it is needed. My food rations developed an oily film on the foil wrapper and when I opened to check, the square had dried to a brick-- totally useless if I really needed it.
@@grayssoncarl5020weight kills when having to be mobile, tinder adds weight, one fire starting method is all you need. It's preference striker or lighter which one works for you. Redundancy for fire I wouldn't suggest. If shtf it may not even be an option to start a fire, people can see that, and will know food is there.
@@heirapparent333 One thing I don't see often in these bug-out bags is duck tape. I only bring it up because you'll likely want to be off public roads, in dense forests, etc. And there are so many use cases in which I can see duck tape being a critical item. For example, if you have people traveling with you, like little kids who are careless, you can fabricate snake gaiters to protect them from snake bites or ticks, etc. Anyway, it looks like you have a pretty good setup and plan. :)
Not sure if your a Christian but for what is going to happen ahead your need to need God to help. Interesting to see where your at with preps, kinda similar situation.
As far as where I'm at in my prep, I would say 75 percent of where I would like to be, no one can say they are 100 percent ready that is a lie. We're always changing and developing along our journey of life. So there for our prep should always be evolving and changing with us. So no one can ever be 100 percent ready.

@5:36 you really might want to consider putting your phone in power conserve mode instead of turning it off. booting takes a crap ton of battery, just put it in power save mode and itll last for days. and yes, your battery will go flat in a week or so even when powered off
It only sucks your battery dead when turned off, if you have background whatever running, such as government background running on your phone. Come end of world situation this wouldn't happen. As for booting drawing power yes true. But weigh that against leaving it on constant battery drain it weighs heavier a plus to turning off and on. Provided not using the phone for prolonged stints
Why need a useless phone. It can be traced and located easily for people whom didn't have a bug out bag. The cell phones won't work for the internet, or cellular services. If so, you'll be traced easily anyway, plus the other end whom you call. You need to make a way point for family or cared for one's to meet. Like the library, or somewhere dumb no one will go to. ❤ When poop hits only 10% of the population will be left and severely injured if alive within 1 week radioactivity, it drops to 5% really fast. Loved ones, only 5% will be alive and friends. No one to call. Too much weight in this kit. Have a full set up at your way point area, just hide it. It's not illegal, usually. Save you a lot of energy. Losing weight is your enemy. I seen experienced hikers bug out for 2 weeks and call it quits in great weather, beautiful conditions, which anyone can live forever outside nearly. 😀, bury your bug out somewhere is always an option plus watch out for mildew and water proof if burying anything. Microbe proof. The more tired you the more you eat and waste food. 🗑 remember your the hunter entering your own back yards if you travel. Not many will see you as friendly. You will get hurt, killed, or taken hostage 100%. That's everyone's reality. ♥️ can't travel fast, have to sneak through places very slowly. That amount of weight will get you spotted early. Most times is best to bug out where your at, hopefully your main bug out area isn't occupied. This is why burying two or three areas is comfortable. Could take days covering just 100 yards.
I challenge people to go shoot a hundred rounds of standard off the shelf ammo through a Glock 23 in .40 S&W. Then come back to the PDP and tell me it’s snappy. I carried the 23 as a duty gun and nobody at the time was whining, even the female officers, of how “snappy” it was even though…. Yeah it’s snappy…it’s unpleasant to shoot all day because the recoil impulse sucks. Any of the PDPs… not so much.
That's what people act like, the pdp some how magically makes recoil so bad, people can't handle it for it makes it feel like a 40. I don't get it to me the pdp feels just as soft shooting as any other nine similar in size
As per optic manufacturer suggested 100m. It wasn't my grip, I don't have thumbs on pistol grip, like what most people use. My grip is unique one of the reasons I can control recoil better even in small guns like a micro nine. It was the 115 grain trash ammo I was using, never saw any issues out of any other ammo, including 115 blazer brass.
Everyone seems to have issues with recoil on walther pdp. Although I just don't get where they're coming from. Its a full size nine recoil isn't snappy is all
I disagree, it doesn't recoil any more than another gun, in the same size bracket. Some guns are better at soaking up recoil like fn 509, cz p09, beretta 92x. Regardless this gun is not snappy in the least bit. If you disagree then I suggest working on your grip. As I said in my video. It's my felt recoil to me everyone is different. But you can't say a full size nine is snappy like this one.
@@heirapparent333 Please, I know it's an easy retort, but it's not a skill issue. So I don't need to work basics such as my grip. I have both PDPs, a Canik and a Sig. The gun is snappy. But It's snappy. Two things can be true: it's accurate, but snappy.
I never said you need to work on your grip I said everyone who thinks it is snappy is a them problem. With grip only playing a small part in felt recoil it has more to do with other factors than just that. I know it isn't snappy. The only nine mm that deserves to be called snappy are micro nines or micro compacts period
@@davdcl499I’ll say it. Work on your grip. In YOUR opinion it’s snappy. I even shot the PDP F series and even that is not what you would call “snappy” at all. It seems more like a you thing than a PDP thing. Shoot a Ruger EC9S and you’ll truly feel what snappy is. Yeah, I'll say or it or you will. We have bitch wrists syndrome. Matter of fact, there's no such thing as felt recoil. Let's scrap it all together. The PDP, the Ruger EC9S, the Springfield Hellcat. Why would they even put a compensator on that thing? People should just "fix their grip." Good afternoon, James Bond.
That's just watered down 10mm, it doesn't have enough force, to cycle my bolt carry group is all. Lol hense why you don't use cheap crap ammo for defense. Anything good like sig elite ball, hollow points, and hunting ammo no problem.

Just like I care what an internet expert says about what is right and wrong. Trust if you were in charge of fn I would never buy from them again. With a welcome to your complaints.
It has to be a training issue. I think at least, as to why people see more felt recoil, it feels between a compact and full size in recoil. Which puts it in line with all other handguns in its class.
You should compare it to the m&p shield 2.o performance plus competitor. I have 2 pdps and the Smith and wesson shoots so much flatter and less felt recoil. Once you try comparing it to other guns you may change your mind on it being a user issue
Took it out to the range with my cz p09, fn 509 c tac, and fn 510. Like I said it recoils in-between a compact and full size nine. Recoil is too subjective for most people. It's a training issue with people. For example everyone I've talked to about the hellcat verses the sig 365. Say the hellcat recoils more. I disagree the sig recoils slightly more and on paper the measurements back me up. The mind plays tricks on people your perceptions on reality can be askew.
It's a cleaning solvent, not clp, so once I'm done brushing the carbon off. Plus cotton ragging it, then yes it will, just what's left over evaporate off.
This round was a year old, in and out of an ar 15, it's not the rounds fault. I do like federal regardless. Winchester is the trash ammo out there. I'm always having legitimate issues with it.

Not saying I won't ever get an ar10 but only when time permits it. My handgun choice is quite clear and makes sense, so if you say what I should ommit, then I can better tell you why I disagree.
Sell those 🔫’s make a system the G26/23/21 are the only 3 you’ll ever need (G23/21 easiest to convert 9/10mm if needed)and Extar Ep9/45 be PCC done, run 16-11.5 pistol lower but keep the 10.5 .300🤫/10.5 7.62 uppers in pack always leave the lowers oem/spec for top swaps AR shoots it all AK can’t
I already have a system. It's called no glocks or sigs. The only glock I would buy is the 10mm but only because of my banshee mags. I'm happy no relying on an out dated system like glock. Glock needs to update the look and feel of their guns.
I encourage you to use that ration bar for 9 normal days and see what you think after that, provided you dont eat it all on day 2
I've already went over 3 months surving on these ration bars. What's you point? Why you think it is impossible?
You don't need to talk to me like that. Trust I'm not like your average prepper. I've been in real survival situations from a young age. I've lived a crazy life. Been shot at with automatic rifle, had guns pointed at my head, been I'm alot of fights. Dealt with dangerous game in the wild, been bitten by venomous snake, swam with alligators and sharks alike. Survived in hand built selter for months. Lived off of food rations. Climbed steep mountains with rope. Snowboarder back county. Navigated exclusively with compasses. So on and so on.
I recently picked up the midnight bronze MK4 and liked it so much I grabbed the MK3 308 model as well, awesome guns.👍
Nice 👍
This ridiculous for one guy to carry. I hope you have two companions or a wagon, or you’re better off bugging in.
This is two bug out bags I have a family.
The fact that you need to hang stuff off the outside of your pack is evidence that you could use a larger pack.
Incorrect, I choose to hang emergency supplies on the outside, when life matters seconds save lives. Plenty of room inside for my rain jacket, cold weather jacket, and med kit. I choose to display it outside, so if around others, and seconds matter they or I don't have to go searching thru a bag for it. Med kits home and rain gear in Florida should always be on the quick access. On the outside of your pack. My preference doesn't have to be yours.
Holy shit. I was 110% correct. Your shooting grip is absolutely abysmal. You absolutely need to take a beginners handgun course. I am personally embarrassed FOR YOU right now😊
Says the online expert. Go help someone who cares enough to listen. I'm not that guy.
Sightmark on the AR. Tell me you know absolutely nothing about guns, without telling me
Been shooting for decades. Sounds to me you don't know anything about reality. Not everyone is an elitist like most youtubers film themselves out to be. Sorry I'm not your rich idol. I'm happy and content with myself who cares if you don't.
@@heirapparent333 lol totally bro. Shooting for decades says absolutely nothing. I know way too many people who have “50 years of shooting experience” and can’t hit the broadside of a barn
Red dot on an ar is ideal, not a red dot and magnifier, this is an ar15 not an ar10. Putting a scope on a ar15 would mean I don't know anything. Lpvo or acog would be perfered. But this is my first ar, those will come, when I get an ar10, useless on an ar15. A red dot is an red dot, as long as it has a study non polymer housing, and isn't a cheap not inexpensive optic than all is good. Regardless of your opinion, my opinion I'm happy with, you can say what you please I don't have to change to please you I'm good.
@@heirapparent333 yah, except that is a massive piece of shit, and is literally known to fail in the most stupid ways. And that’s if you can get it to even hold a zero.
Held zero for over a year, same battery for over a year, plus mines was bought on display so battery had already been used. I'm not going to say it is an amazing top of the line red dot. But for what I needed it for it has done the job. Look again your opinion is just that an opinion. You can kindly take it somewhere else if it pains you so much to see me using it on my ar pistol. Of which I paid my own money on.
Those UST ration bars are terrible.
Hey to each their own. I like them and have already used them in real life for survival. For a prolonged stint even during a snowstorm in the woods.
Think I could get a majority of this stuff with about $8,000? I have already set aside a firearms budget of $5,000.
If I might suggest get a full size handgun in a woods defense caliber like 10mm or 357 mag. A pistol in 9mm compact or micro for carry perfered compact over micro. An ar10 defense simi auto rifle you can use for hunting as well. If an ar in 308 has too much recoil or weight. An ar15 16 inch in 300 blackout would fill same role. If you wanted any advice.
Is this your way of giving me a new video idea. Thanks. I'll have to do a revisit bug out bag on a budget or something like that. Thanks again. Any other ideas let me know
Keep ifak on the outside of pack where its accessible quickly and you only need one side arm ditch 3 of them and carry more ammo just my opinion and put the other firearms in seprate bags one for you the others for the family you definitely got some money in firearms
This is divided between two bags, my ifak is on the outside of my pack, attached on rip away mole.
Thanks for advice that is actually decent at least.
What is the reasoning for you bugging out on foot while your family bugs out in a vehicle ?
No I'm bugging out with them, my bug out bag is for recon and hunting, from my family's place. My bag has to be more mobile for those reasons.
I love the Life Straw but I would recommend the Sawyer Mini it can filter up to 100,000 gallons of water, it can fit in your pocket and attach to standard water bottles with ease. Compared to the Life Straw I found it far easier to clean the Sawyer Mini. However, I own both as they are great products.
Brother. This is rough af.
Nice load out. But I’m going to be real, your real missing is water and food, you have shelter but taking care of oneself is first
Don't know what you mean I have both food rations and water in my bag.
Soon as the video started and I seen the bed against the wall a window air conditioner I knew this was going to Wally World video ...nope. Cut at 0:25 and save the time. Yikes!
Lol hate if you like you don't have to watch. But thanks for the comment that helps.
Not everyone is rich this is the real world.
5 guns the most american bug out bag I have ever seen
It's america tho, lol, this is two bug out bags, one is for my family so keep that in mind.
Pple just use a regular lighter or matches. Pple over think with wanting these strikers to light a fire
@@bigbrother9531 They are supposed to be a dry brick...at least the ones (BP-5, NRG-5, Convar7) i tried. I would worry if it was something else.
Where is the ducktape lol.
By duck tape you mean paracord?
and underwear :)
That one is on lol
@@heirapparent333 One thing I don't see often in these bug-out bags is duck tape. I only bring it up because you'll likely want to be off public roads, in dense forests, etc. And there are so many use cases in which I can see duck tape being a critical item. For example, if you have people traveling with you, like little kids who are careless, you can fabricate snake gaiters to protect them from snake bites or ticks, etc. Anyway, it looks like you have a pretty good setup and plan. :)
It's my opinion that duck tape is not a necessity in survival. So I leave it out.
Not sure if your a Christian but for what is going to happen ahead your need to need God to help. Interesting to see where your at with preps, kinda similar situation.
I'm polytheistic myself, i do believe in God/Jesus, just not in the same sense as others.
As far as where I'm at in my prep, I would say 75 percent of where I would like to be, no one can say they are 100 percent ready that is a lie. We're always changing and developing along our journey of life. So there for our prep should always be evolving and changing with us. So no one can ever be 100 percent ready.
If you have any prep started you are in good shape, it shows your taking the initiative, just never stop until you have to use your items and skills in a bad situation.
Some strong mojo going here. Good luck in the Boog.
Thanks
Damn yooo thats awesome set up
Thanks proud to be prepared as an American.
Love shooters lube
Same here used it for years exclusively.
💯 amen. I remember when g27 and 23 were wrist breakers from the whiners.
Yeah I mean they're magnum cartridges right lmao. 9mm has so much recoil.
It could be your grip for the lockback issueits a common thing .Also pistols should be zerod at 10 to 25 why 100 it's not a rifle
All compacts are "snappy".. put a Holosun PID on it and I'll add a little weight to it
This isn't a compact, it's the full size pdp, it shoots just like another full size gun. No need to freak out and claim it recoils so bad.
@@heirapparent333I believe you're the only one freaking out bud
Everyone seems to have issues with recoil on walther pdp. Although I just don't get where they're coming from. Its a full size nine recoil isn't snappy is all
It's snappy. Some guns shoot flatter than others. Especially the compact. It's sprung crazy from the factory. Accurate as hell, but snappy.
In YOUR opinion, it isn't. Cool. Large consensus, i.e., other channels of reputable shooters, the snappiness remark remains consistent. I still EDC the compact because it's a fast and accurate shot.
How can you can make the blanket statement claim that the PDP is snappy when this guy here is telling you that it’s not and I’ll tell you that it’s not because I have two full-size Walther PDP 5 inch barrels. I even shot the PDP F series and even that is not what you would call “snappy” at all. It seems more like a you thing than a PDP thing. Shoot a Ruger EC9S and you’ll truly feel what snappy is. I’ve heard all the excuses for lack of a good grip. I’ve heard bore axis, I’ve heard oversprung, I’ve heard it all. Just work on your grip.
@@CitizenCarrier You hitmen and mercenaries can't help yourselves. I carry a Walther. I CARRYYYYY the PDP Compact. Why? Because it's accurate as hell. Snappy, but accurate. Also, I trust it with my life. Companies like ZR Tactical are thriving and dedicated to aiding in the damn snappiness of the Walther PDP. Or maybe we just suffer from having bitch wrists? Yeah, I'll say or it or you will. We have bitch wrists syndrome. Matter of fact, there's no such thing as felt recoil. Let's scrap it all together. The PDP, the Ruger EC9S, the Springfield Hellcat. Why would they even put a compensator on that thing? People should just "fix their grip." Good afternoon, James Bond.

LMAO
I don’t notice any difference in “snappiness” shooting my Glock 45 vs my 4” PDP.
Why soaking the firing pin area in the slide like that? will the liquid all be gone after the cleaning?
It's a cleaning solvent, not clp, so once I'm done brushing the carbon off. Plus cotton ragging it, then yes it will, just what's left over evaporate off.
Hell yeah brother!
Quit using bullshit ammo! Buy Federal instead! Underwood ammo is crap! People always having issues with their stuff!!!!!
This round was a year old, in and out of an ar 15, it's not the rounds fault. I do like federal regardless. Winchester is the trash ammo out there. I'm always having legitimate issues with it.
