    Mountain lions are no joke. I did some back country camping/hiking out of my Yukon XL few years ago, in the mountains of Glacier National Park, Montana. (And surrounding National Parks). My fiancée & I hiked all across those mountains & saw every type of wildlife (Moose, mtn goats, black bears, deer, water buffalo). And a Ram which got 2ft from of us, got spooked, & luckily didnt crush me.😅 But we did a 13km hike to the top of the glacier one day.. got caught in the dark. And had to hike back on a sketchy cliff-side, exhausted. And with my light, I noticed a prone mountian lion, stalking us 20yds up the cliff. I had bear spray & my M&P2.0 9mm.. (And unfortunately hadnt been able to find ANY hard-cast/flat-nose/penetrator 9mm beforehand). Thankfully it just watched us walk by.. but def a major pucker-factor.😬😁👍

    Only thing I wish that it had is the Suppressor Height Iron Sights that is originally came with, for some reason CZ stopped shipping it out with them and only gave the regular height iron sights which you see here in the video, so you essentially have to purchase and install the Suppressor Height Sights yourself, which is a bit annoying if you have the version with the Threaded Barrel mainly for Suppressor Attachments, makes it kinda obsolete at that point, but overall still a nice full-sized reliable handgun/pistol!

    • @heirapparent333
      @heirapparent333 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on your use case. For instance I everyday carry this gun. Supressor height sights would get in the way of holster compatability for iwb. As well as attaching a suppressor problematic to drawing from concealment. As well good look finding a holster compatable with a suppressor. Plus this is 9mm, if you want to suppress a pistol, 45 is far superior. So why limit yourself by a thought line which is irrelevant. If you want such a thing there is alway the fn 545. A much superior option for suppression.

    Taurus g2 is snappy

    • @heirapparent333
      @heirapparent333 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@brianrichards5694 Taurus g2 is a compact style gun. Therefore is lighter causing slightly less recoil than a traditional full size. But the g3c will obviously recoil more than the g3. It's simple physics, the longer the barrel, the more weight in the front of the gun. Which will in turn soak up more recoil. Barrel length of a nine determines how snappy it is. Not the company. They may be perceived as drastically different like a glock 19 recoils more than a fn 509 c. But the difference isn't really there. If you work on your interface with the gun they will feel the same.

      Snappy it's nine millimeter full size gun. They are not snappy guns. Regardless of how you feel when you shoot it. Physics doesn't care about subjectiveness. Felt recoil is subjective but actual recoil is not bad on any full size gun regardless of company when shooting 9mm. Work on your recoil control not the gun if you're having issues

If my lady or someone new/ smaller than myself says it is snappy, I would gladly listen to them. Make a suggestion on changing ones grip. On another point, some people just can't rack certin guns. Even with push pull or other methods. Again, I thought the response was rude. I appreciate your response.

    • @heirapparent333
      @heirapparent333 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This gun isn't made for people like that. That's why there are guns like the equalizer or the ez from smith and wesson. To say a full size gun 9mm at that is snappy, so much more than any other full size 9mm, is irrational. It is my point that the walther pdp isn't any snappier than a glock 17, or another full size nine, if you disagree than it is a mechanics issue with the shooter not the gun.

  • @mavrikmavrik3032
    @mavrikmavrik3032 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    My full size PDP Pro is very light recoil into the hand. However it has more muzzle flip than my G17, P10F or HKVP9 (which is very soft shooting). It’s completely manageable just not as good as other full sized pistols I have or have fired. I’ve ordered a new recoil spring assembly to see how that works.

    • @heirapparent333
      @heirapparent333 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Muzzle rise in a nine millimeter isn't much of any no mater what gun or size you may refer to. Regardless of your opinion it isn't a higher caliber like magnum cartridges or 10mm. If you are having issue with Muzzle rise in any nine. Instead of changing the gun or parts. Try changing your mechanics of recoil control. As well as work on finger and wrist strength.

      It's a single and double action gun. Therfore hammer down with tge decocker is the safest was to carry it. Unlike a 1911 no safety so the hammer is cooked back. Where it would possibly cause a problem with digging into you. It would be impossible with a double action gun. Have you carried a gun like this in double action mode? Doesn't sound like it. But to each their own

      @@heirapparent333 yes. I own a CZ P-09. I'm about to own a 2nd suppressor version. Sweat guards can have both positives and negatives. Kydex sweat guards stick into your belly while sitting. But, with many modern pistols having such aggressive slide serrations, I'd prefer the sweat guard sticking into me. I carry my CZ P-09 decocked. That said, the hammer can still dig into your belly. A nice wide sweat guard, that covers the entire decocked hammer, would be nice. I'm not worried about safety. It would take a ton of force to push the hammer past the half cocked position. And while that's been known to happen on worn hammer fired pistols, it probably wouldn't have enough force to ignite the primer.

    • @heirapparent333

      Have both, depends on your uses, and preferences. 300 or 10mm is a far better choice than 45, 9mm, or 556. If you are going short barrel. If going rifle length 300 over 10mm obviously. If hunting 300 over 556 as well. Defense cqb 300 rifle over 556 rifle for sure. Check out my new 300 blackout rifle. Maybe this response will help you.

      @terrencejones397 if going with car defense 10mm would be better for that use case, being better barrier blind, but 300 blackout would work better for home defense. If you choose 300 use supers for car, then use 10 subs in house, followed by 10 supers in the lower part of mag (10 subs, 10 supers, then 10 subs or a different type of supper if 30 round mags.)

If you let it do it’s thing, it’s gonna recoil; like all guns, but then go right back to where you had it. You just have to practice and let it do it’s thing. Incorrect, I choose to hang emergency supplies on the outside, when life matters seconds save lives. Plenty of room inside for my rain jacket, cold weather jacket, and med kit. I choose to display it outside, so if around others, and seconds matter they or I don't have to go searching thru a bag for it. Med kits home and rain gear in Florida should always be on the quick access. On the outside of your pack. My preference doesn't have to be yours.
