You know what you’re doing brother. When people say they never looked at CZ’s or educated themselves about them I always wonder if they know anything about guns.
If the handgun is decocked (not hammer back or full forward), when you try to align the take down indicators, they line up perfectly when you pull the slide back. Because in decocked configuration, the hammer stops the slide when the hash marks are perfectly lined up and wont let you overshoot the marks. Same with P-01 etc
I just got a P07 and it’s quickly become my favorite gun. I love the DA/SA workings, and it’s been 100% reliable so far after 500 rounds. It’s just comfortable to shoot. Looking at a P01 next.
I love my P07. I put the M-Carbo trigger spring kit in it, and it made it better. I prefer a hammer fired over a striker fired pistol, and a decocker is a plus.
I use to love striker fired but I feel like having a hammer is like driving a manual vs an automatic. Have more control over the gun and reliability in my opinion.
Just got this gun for my first gun ever I had to put on layaway because of budget reasons but I’m so happy to have an everyday carry with me and all these comments and this video makes me feel great about my choice!!
I bought a p07 about 8 years ago, and then a few days ago I went to my LGS to check out other pistols. I tried a few berettas, some other cz’s, some glocks, a couple walthers and a few s&w striker pistols. I ended up getting another p07 😂 I literally could have bought anything in the store.
Just traded my Glock 19 Gen 5 for one. I can’t believe why I paid for the Glock what I did considering what the CZ offers. The feel in hand alone is perfection. Glock’s have their place, as a mass produced contract gun for the military. I carried the M9 beretta as my secondary and have a soft spot for hammer fired guns. I just don’t see how Glock can charge the price they do, when a just as reliable, more featured weapon can be had for less. My guess is that CZ will end up surpassing Glock in price once more people find out about CZ perfection.
I really like that they give you both a safety and a decocker, and that they're separate pieces. I don't know anybody that wants to carry their gun decocked and on safe, they generally want one or the other.
I have a P-01 Omega, and after putting in CGW parts, I actually find the DA to be a little TOO light for me to be comfortable carrying decocked with no safety. Now, this is partly because my young son likes to use me as a jungle gym and I want to be EXTRA sure we're good. So for me it's carried half-cocked on safety.
I also have a Shadow2 & 10C, 10C Tactical, & 10F. I came super close to buying an SP01 Omega. I’m seriously considering getting a P-07. I love shooting my CZ’s much more than my Glocks, I’m also more accurate with my P-10s
Absolutely love mine! I often see folks saying they are a great "budget" pistol. Which certainly is a valid point. However I think they are just a great pistol period! The price point is just the icing on the cake! I recommend them to anyone and everyone I can! Great info in this video my friend! Keep up the great work!
@@jameshall3339 way late to the party and your comment. I’ve seen these listed at $580 these days but a few online shops have great prices once you add to cart (Blackhawk armory was $410!). My P-07 is the cheapest pistol I own
I am from Czech Republic and i bought this pistol in May 2023 for $800 converted from CZK to USD... everything regarding firearms in here is super expensive. I envy you folks from USA cause those prices you guys have there are ridiculously low to us. But i get it there is much bigger market over there. There is only 10 milion Czech citizens and only 300k owns a firearm and there is only 1 milion firearms for those 300k owners. I used to work at a big box outdoor store and about 2012 I got to handle a P-07 Duty, that has the extended barrel. I fell in love with it and wound up buying one a few years later. I already had a few older CZs but damn, it's my favorite!
So I bid on a P-07 just like this one on GB, forgot about bidding because it was only $375 and a week later I get an email that I won it. I already have a P-09 in OD green so I know it's quality. Can't wait to try it out and great review! Liked and subscribed!
just a word of knowledge. On most CZs; if you put the hammer in the half cocked position, when braking it down, that's as far back as the slide will need tp go.
CZ pistols are phenomenal! They are underrated for the tremendous value and quality you get. I currently have the CZ P-01, but I’ve carried the CZ 75 Compact, D and P 10-C. They are all reliable and extremely accurate. The triggers in CZ guns are amazing straight out of the box. So many people want a Glock 19, but I don’t see the point of spending $600 on a gun that needs a better trigger and sights. That’s adding close to $300 in upgrades.
I have a CZ P07 Duty since their availability. To date, I have shot 30k rounds through it with 2 stoppages. I have 18 round magazines, and they work like a dream. The only thing that broke was the trigger release spring. I have spares for most parts. It carries very nicely. I have 7 magazines of 18 rounds. I carry one up, so it is 18+1. My first shot is double action. The more you shoot this weapon, the nicer the trigger becomes. After all the ammo I have put through mine, I asked a gunsmith how my barrel looks, and he says it is fine. I then told him how many shots I had fired and that he could not believe it. I reload my own ammo, so it was easy to rack up the amount of ammo I have shot to date. I have a contact at CZ who I correspond with every now and again, I am from South Africa.
You covered a lot and gave the P-07 a fair and detailed review. All in all an easy video to watch and I was able to garner quite a bit of helpful information. Thanks and Cheers!!
Appreciate the honest opinion. I was an early but brief fan of Glocks, nothing wrong with it, just not a fan anymore. My first handgun was to be a Glock 17 back on 1989. Ready to buy one but saw a Czechoslovakian CZ-75. Not the smooth newer ones you now see, but the rough oily plasticky grip Home Depot painted glow sights. Held it and pointed it on the floor a couple of times. Needless to say, I went in to buy a Glock, walked out with a CZ.
I carry Appendix 365 days a year , especially now. Ive always carried appendix and now that i have a P07 im even more comfortable. Some people just cant handle a striker fired pistol pointing at their berries but this gun cures that phobia. Im sending mine for an optic cut immediately. I love this thing
So I bought a CZ-P07 back in May for Conceal Carry purpose's. I have been carrying it ever since and I have to say its been a very good firearm. I have put a couple hundred rounds through it and it has been very reliable. Will say that Beaver tail takes a bit of getting used to when you carry it in a holster but I really do like the pistol itself.
Got a used P-07 with 17 round mags last year and have enjoyed it. Bought the Shadow 2 Compact a couple weeks ago to go with the P-07. Both are comfortable to shoot and with 500 rounds through each I have had zero issues, Very happy with my CZs
I used to work at a range and have shot hundreds of pistols. The P07 is one of the top 5 pistols ive ever shot. Super easy to control. Very comfortable.
I won't do plastic, but CZ is where it's at for a carry gun (75 D Compact "PCR", for me). Very well made pistols. I love slide-in-frame, and DA/SA with decocker (both CZ specialties).
@@gunsquawk4443 I've tried plenty of plastic pistols. Haven't found one yet that I'd want to carry (or even target shoot with, tbh). I'm content with what I've got.
We took a bersa, xdm, gsg 22lr rife to the range yesterday and fired probably 200 rounds through each and the cz was the only one to have zero malfunctions.
I bought the 97B first, it is SO GOOD that I bought a P-01 to carry. The 97 is better, smoother, lighter trigger, but you know CZs, the more you shoot them the better they get.
I have 2 CZ P07's, the carry model and the suppressor ready model and I will not hesitate to pick up another carry model with a thumb safety for cocked and locked carry!

Hungary switched to the P-07 and P-09 as it's military pistols. They are awesome little pistols, I don't like the small slide walls (hard to grab wet) but they feel fenomenal.
@@maximus-hl9jw They shoot great, that's my only complaint. Hard to charge the first round. If you carry on safe with 1 in the chamber (as you should) it's not an issue. If you need to charge it before the first shot... You may be in trouble. Panicking with a glove on... That can be a problem.
I guess it is whatever you want, but to me one of the reasons to get a CZ is for the SADA trigger. I will say the P10 has one of the better striker fired triggers around.
I have used both the P-07 and the Sig SP2022. I find them both to be extremely accurate and the whole bore axis idea seem strictly theoretical and in practice quite irrelevant. I do find the slide harder to manage with a very full mag on the P-07 so I load it with the slide locked back and let the forward motion load it. All around your review is very accurate and fits my experience as well.
i have a p07 suppressor ready, a 2075 rami and a scorpion evo 3.....love them all. carry my 2075 daily in a beautiful wright leatherworks maverick shoulder harness with a few extra 14rd mags, and my p07 is my battle belt gun in a tier 1 centurion holster with an aimpoint acro on top. could not be happier with all 3.
Excellent pistol. Built for serious use. A "one pistol can do it well" pistol. A blast at the range. Love the CZ!! This pistol and the Sig P226/229 are my favorite hammer fired pistols that I shoot regularly.
I'm torn between the P-01, PCR, 75 D compact or the P-07. I already have a P-09 and really like it, but want to replace my Hellcat for ECD. I think P-07 is the most practical choice, but love the sexy style of the metal guns.
This is a very good video and I like to watching it. I bought this very gun in August 2020 and it is my daily carry and it is my favorite gun of all. And a lot of it is because it is not just extremely reliable but I am an incredible shot with this gun and I do very well with it at the range literally hitting bullseye as many times as I can fire it and I truly believe the recoil spring is one of the reasons why and it is truly a fascinating pistol that I would choose above any other manufacturer especially Glock!!!!! No comparison between Glock and CZ I'm sorry but that is no question about it!!! CZ will win this contest every time
When I hear compact and not small in the same description makes wonder back in the day we used to conceal beretta 92’s and para ordnance 1911 and did just fine
The CZ P07 is outstanding and pairs perfect with a CZ P09. Those two pistols are my favorite polymer handguns, period. The 2nd gen also saw a new polymer frame to fix the frame bulge issue.
Wow. That's pretty high praise. I'm looking at a 92FS or a 75 BD compact or P-07. Already have a P-09, so I really don't want an almost identical gun, but for the price and the fact that I can use my Alien Gear P-09 holster, it's hard to justify anything but the P-07.
The blue follower Mec Gar 19 round cz 75 work in the P-07 as well but stick out a bit. After plenty of testing i carry them as my carry reload magazines.
Ive had arm surgerey and I can't grip and rack this damn thing. I've ordered Talon slide grips. Pulling the hammer back first helps, but it's a ridiculous step to have to take. My next step is to change out the spring to a 15#. Follow up. I installed the Talon slide grips...issue solved. Absolutely no problems racking the 07.
The way I take the slide off is, I first remove the mag and clear the gun. Then I press the muzzle down on a table to push it out of battery and line up the hash marks on the slide and frame. Then use my index finger of my right hand to push on the back side of the takedown pin and pull it out with my left hand. It takes a bit of practice, but it’s easier than trying to hold the slide lined up and push the pin out with the base of a mag.
Out of my FN glocks Smiths Caniks Sigs… My P07 Tactical is my favorite love the trigger Absolutely love Hammer DA/SA over striker fire guns 7k + since 2020 and haven’t had any problems
Have a PCR for my EDC, interested in a duty size pistol for home I.E. 75 B Omega swappable, P 09, or even 97BD. The PCR is just a wonderful EDC option and Mec Gar has 15 rd mags for compacts now. The P07 was my first option and was at the counter ready to purchase, I was shown the PCR and it fit like a glove and the decocker sold me... And very accurate pistol YMMV.
Great pistol. I put a mcarbo spring kit and some polish in mine and it helped a lot and feels safe to carry. Not to lite but not to easy and for $20 I’m happy with it.
A P-07 will probably be my next purchase. I have a CZ SP-01 knockoff (Canik/Tristar), it's a nice gun for a knockoff and I'm happy with it, *but* it's a fullsize pistol, I need a carry gun and I want to get a CZ for that too. All the reviews I'm seeing of the P-07 are praising it, so, I gotta get me one of these! I also like that there is a suppressor ready version for basically the same price as the normal one, and they sell a .22 conversion upper for it, which is a nice bonus.
Try the CZ 75 P 01. I know that everyone seems to be a fan of Glocks and similar types of striker fired weapons and brag on their light trigger pull. Though those guns may be great weapons may be great weapons; I would like to caution anyone who owns these weapons, especially those who have them as carry guns, or carry them as a requirement of their occupation, to spend as much time as possible at the range paying attention to just how lite that striker fired/ single action trigger is, while taking into account how they feel they would react in a stressful situation. Some people may notice that they could benefit from an extra 3-5 pound trigger pull of a DA or DA/SA firearm. I guarantee, there would be less police, accidental shootings.
I agree...somewhat. Typically, as the other gentleman commented, most striker-fired pistols have trigger pulls that aren’t that terribly light. Exceptions would be the Walther PPQ and the HK VP9. As for pistols having decockers, thus the heavier first round trigger pull, I think the Beretta 92’s are still extremely versatile and quality firearms. I may have to try the CZ line one day. I’ve never been quite that interested- until now.
Well, thanks for the hot tip but I have been using the Glock Platform for over 20 years and I also used a G19 s my Duty Weapon for many yeas. Never had a issue with any of my Glocks and I can see no reason at all to try any other handguns. No I'm not a Fan Boy but I am a Glock Guy and always will be!
@D B I agree with all your points. That's why I was bringing it up. And yes, compared to a DA/SA the trigger pull is light. But as an aside, they are heavier than the SAO pistols that preceded the DA/SA pistols. I agree that it all comes down to training.
@@stevekatz4372 Evidently, I was not referring to you and you can not compare yourself to others. Everyone's reactions to stressful situations are not the same, nor is their training and experience. I never said there was anything wrong with Glocks, I even acknowledged that the could be great guns, however, that people who are on the nervous side, might benefit from the heavier trigger pull of a DA or DA/SA firearm. Also, assuming that you were a police officer and assuming that you worked with other police officers; I'm sure you have seen several officers who could take this into consideration.
Just subscribed to your channel. Great informational video. I’ve had many guns and various manufacturers but I whittled it down to several Glocks and a M&P. Seriously considering adding a CZ P 07 to my collection. Thanks for the great video.

i just shot this and a walther PDP at the range yesterday. I have a 75 retro & m9a4 and love em. for some reason much more accurate w the p07 & pdp…. ugh i already know i’m gonna end up buying them both.
The CZ P 07 is awesome, mine was a machine before I sent it in to Danger close and had them do the cajun trigger kit and the optics cut now it is on par with really expansive 2011s, if you want to take that thing to a whole new level send it to cajun gun works. BTW I never hear anyone who reviews these guns talk about what I think makes them so accurate, the fact that the frame rails run the entire length of the lower and the frame rides inside the lower I think makes it really accurate. Cajun pro carry package will take your double action from 11-12 pounds to 7-8 pounds and your single action to a super crisp 4 pounds! The only pistol I have and have shot that shoots better is my Stacaatto C2 duo.
Great thorough video! P01 was my first, have got a P09 and a scorpion now to fill out the collection a little, safe to say I’m kind of a fan boy. Just a little note that when taking the pistol down, using the decocked hammer as a stop for an easy way to line up the slide for takedown works well! Keep it up!
I would like to see you review the CZ SHADOW 2.... I know it is not a CCW Firearm, thought I would enjoy hearing your personal opinion of it for home or Auto carry defense pistol, Thank you👍🙄
The Shadow 2 is built for competition use mainly. You don’t want that hair trigger for personal defense in adrenaline situations like that it, would be very dangerous. The recoil is almost non existent however but that’s due to its weight. It’s definitely hefty. I own one.
Great information and great video. I had a friend recommend I check out one of these pistols so I googled online to learn more about it and this is a fantastic video. Thanks for showing how all the controls worked. My left hand has some nerve damage and is weak. I like how this has large buttons and the takedown is much easier than a Glock. I also like the grip areas I subscribed.
My First and only pistol is a P07. I have played with Glocks too. Everytime I shoot my P07. I know that I have a great and reliable shooter. Eats anything. I have moved over to 147gr bullets. I reload myself. Shoots flat and straight. 6fps SD. Average 870fps. Perfect
@@bigsean2473 for general range work and some Steel Challenge its perfect. Get a power of 132. My SD is 6fps. No need to up the velocity. Shoot out to 25 yards with no problems. I have played with reloading Speer Gold dots in 147gr. Now I agree 950 fps and higher is what is needed for defense ammo.
I don’t think you get the purpose of the optional safety. It effectively turns it into a “cocked and locked” single action, but with the ability for second strikes and carrying double action on safe. But the point is that with the safety installed, you can carry it cocked and locked like a 1911, or install the decocker and carry it like a DA/SA.

Just bought the p10 F and the p07! Both are great guns! Quality, price point, reputation! Great job CZ! Loved the review!
What you shared falls right in line with my experience. Great fire arm with a great trigger, well made, and very accurate.
Thx for the video. The P07 is one of the best pistols I own. Really a fantastic shooter.

I just bought the mcarbo kit and can't wait to install. How do you like it? And how did the install go?
MCarbo kit makes it even sweeter!
Absolutely love mine! I often see folks saying they are a great "budget" pistol. Which certainly is a valid point. However I think they are just a great pistol period! The price point is just the icing on the cake! I recommend them to anyone and everyone I can! Great info in this video my friend! Keep up the great work!

$500 is budget? That’s what I paid before the pandemic.
They are not exactly cheap, but what a great gun!
So i understand the prices are higher but it still makes me sad haha@@Sinsofcarolina
I used to work at a big box outdoor store and about 2012 I got to handle a P-07 Duty, that has the extended barrel. I fell in love with it and wound up buying one a few years later. I already had a few older CZs but damn, it's my favorite!
Thank you for the video. Im deciding between CZ P07 and P01
I have the p01 omega and it’s awesome
Just loved watching this video. Just love them CZs. This P-07 is just awesome to hold.

I have owned several cz's over the years. I carry a po7 as my primary edc. Absolutely love CZ.
I have a feeling that your videos are reflecting how the firearms look like in reality in excellent ways. Awesome~!
My dream gun! I will own this gun one day. Whether buy cash or trade if I have to. Great price point for what you get too.
I am rapidly becoming a CZ fan. They are great shooting guns and so far very reliable. Thanks for watching!

I won't do plastic, but CZ is where it's at for a carry gun (75 D Compact "PCR", for me). Very well made pistols. I love slide-in-frame, and DA/SA with decocker (both CZ specialties).
If you won't do plastic, you'll never unlock your shooting potential. I love the all steel guns too. Get both, carry the one you like.

Didn’t have a .45 so I got the the 97B. First CZ in the household. Love it so much (and I haven’t even shot it yet) so I went out and got the PCR.
Put XS sights on my P-07…..made a world of difference. Very nice gun.

I just think there's something comical about getting down to business in some colored ass gun. The p09 which will be my future pick up, will be my range fun gun. So that can have all that cosmetically cool OD green shit.
Do you carry it? If so, in what position?
I just ordered a CZ P-07 Supressor version after years of loving my P-09. Going to shoot the two back to back and I feel like I will be upgrading the P07 with the same Cajun Gun Works defensive kit on the P09. The Single Action is buttery!

Hungary switched to the P-07 and P-09 as it's military pistols. They are awesome little pistols, I don't like the small slide walls (hard to grab wet) but they feel fenomenal.
Its like that to help with recoil low bore action or somthing like that its really smart..
I love P07... the grip, the recoil management.... the only complaint I have is that CZ does not offer a subcompact version... something like P10S
I guess it is whatever you want, but to me one of the reasons to get a CZ is for the SADA trigger. I will say the P10 has one of the better striker fired triggers around.
@@katrinaanon1038 agree, P10 trigger is very nice in terms of strikers but I just like the extra control you have with your thumb on the hammer. :)
They offer the 2075 RAMI DA/SA decocker model, but it just does not have that classic CZ feel imho
Good Video , very well observation of the P-07 and well spoken sir , you got me interested in it now
I have used both the P-07 and the Sig SP2022.
True. This is a versatile gun.

Came from the other side, had metal cz’s. Shot a P07 for my first time, bought one. First polymer (for me) that I enjoy shooting.
Some of us are still concealing full size service handguns like the Beretta 92 and Glock 34s with X300s.
This convinced me to buy one. No other review did that. Sub'd.

As a CZ fan myself ... another nice feature is that CZ P10C and P10F mags will work in the P07. And of course the P09 mags too.
The blue follower Mec Gar 19 round cz 75 work in the P-07 as well but stick out a bit. After plenty of testing i carry them as my carry reload magazines.
@@jimbienkowski7857 Thanks for the tip.. just got a couple of those mags for SP 01. That’s a win win for me👍
Ive had arm surgerey and I can't grip and rack this damn thing.

Striker fired guns don’t have very light trigger pulls unless you alter them.

Mcarbo trigger kit plus cgw short reset kit plus polished internals makes the p07 a freakishly good shooter.
Great thorough video! P01 was my first, have got a P09 and a scorpion now to fill out the collection a little, safe to say I’m kind of a fan boy. Just a little note that when taking the pistol down, using the decocked hammer as a stop for an easy way to line up the slide for takedown works well! Keep it up!

Perfect
870fps?? really i need mine to be 950fps or higher to be sure it will get the job done
I love my P-07!
