    Bought my OD P-09 yesterday. I went in, resigning myself to a P-07 suppressor-ready (because that's all the gun shop had in that model), but I knew that I'd never add a suppressor and feared the tall sights would hang up when drawing. Salesman and I talked it out and decided the P-09 was the better choice. I could NOT be happier. Can't wait to get to the range.

    after watching all the glowing reviews I just bought the P-09 Suppressor Ready with threaded 5.15" barrel, tall night sights , with 2 - 21round magazines.. its a good thing. The most accurate bullseye shooter, stock out of the box pistol that I've shot in 60 years of shooting. Too bad it's grip is not as ergonomic as its grand daddy my old 75 preB.
    But, love the simplistic Omega trigger system. Love the decocker. Love no dingus triger. Love the stability of this large frame. LOVE P-09.🇨🇿 🇺🇲
    Going to buy a P-07 Suppressor Ready now.

    Uh, I own an 80% G17 and the P09. They are very comparable in size. The slide is the same length. I have the threaded barrel in each, the CZ being slightly longer. Grip height is very similar. The biggest differences are the reverse rails on the CZ, the CZ having a narrower grip, and the CZ having the additional beaver tail on the back. The only reason the CZ is longer as a whole is because of that beaver tail. For comparisons, these details are important.

    The best way to disassemble the CZs and their clones (not the P10's) is by using the magazine botton to push the disassembly pin. If used in anger, one may not have the rods, or other things available, but the magazine will be available.

  • @biggboysouth
    @biggboysouth 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I really do enjoy my P09. Only qualm I have with it is that for my personal fit the medium sized back strap is not large enough and the large back strap is too large. I'd really love a size in between the two. Also it very well could have been solely my gun(Urban Gray P09 tact) but my front an rear sight were never loctite from the factory. My 1st or 2nd range visit my rear sight became very loose and walked around, then the next range visit after fixing the rear my front sight flew completely off. Luckily I was able to find it and loctite it once I got home but i wasn't too happy to say the least lol. It's been probably 2 years since then and the gun has been perfect.

    How can you economically mount a red dot? Thanks.

    • @HammerStriker
      @HammerStriker  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since these don't have a cutout and it may be difficult to do since the slide is low-profile (not much to cut into), most people use a saddle-mount. These slide over the gun and attach to the Picatinny rail and have a platform above the slide to put the optic on. They seem to average around $150, you would still have the cost of the optic you choose. Some of them are designed to work with a specific optic so you have to make sure the mount and optic you choose will play nicely together. I have not tried any so I don't want to put links in that may seem like a recommendation of one but if you search "CZ P-09 Optic mount" you will get several hits that you can evaluate.

      Hammer Striker you can carry the CZ cocked and locked if you convert it from the decocker to the manual safety. Then its just as consistent as the Glock but with a better trigger. And in my experience..just as reliable.
