    My P09 sits in my nightstand with a Streamlight and a 20 round mag. This gun is comfortable, supremely reliable, and accurate, and has gone under the radar for whatever reason. I've put thousands of rounds through mine with zero malfunctions, and my 12-year-old daughter loves shooting it, which shows how little recoil it has.

    Got 2 CZ clones. They are very fun to shoot. Not surprised an original CZ is awesome.

    I've been having my eye on this pistol for a while, as I'm thinking about getting one. This video may be the one that will cause me to finally pull the trigger (heh) on it.

      Yep. Terrific gun. My P-07 shoots softer and is more accurate than pistols costing twice as much. Heck, my P-09 shoots flatter than my brother's Shadow 2 (much to his chagrin haha). Awesome pistols.

    Excellent. Vid. Covered everything.
    Have one and recommend the P09 for sure. Ergonomics on this pistol surpasses anything I’ve handled lately. Even SIG XFive.
    Thanks again. I subscribed 👍

    I actually went from carrying my FN 5.7 to this. Only negative is I had to put O ring on the suppressor attachment because it will walk. From this I picked up a P-O7. I love the CZ brand now.

    Just stumbled across your channel but I really enjoy the way you go through your reviews. I am curious if you have spoke about the 5.7 (p90/five-seven) combo and your thoughts. I recently left the service and I have fired a few other machine guns and fire arms but only ever used the M9 and M4 as extensive daily carries for me and now I'm looking for another weapon combo I could theoretically take anywhere and use in any situation. Anything even if just a reply here on your opinion would be appreciated, also look forward to your future videos.

    All full size handguns with any hope of being duty weapons paid out of pocket by Leo's and other armed professionals should ship with three mags. Period...the end.
    Some manufacturers have figured this out. Some still think officers want to scrounge the earth to find rare factory mags $40 and have them shipped. For an average officer to go through all that, as small a task as it is, requires them to really be in love with the pistol.
    I was strongly considering the P09 to replace my issued Glock 17...mostly because it's not a glock, cool factor, it's fairly affordable but also that capacity, stock trigger, and traditional operation in a lighter frame.
    Then I looked at mag prices...then again street prices on P09s are in the $450 range, shipped and transferred.
    When considering replacing good ol' glocks for duty use the questiom becomes not is it better than a Glock in any way, but is it $500 better than free?
    That's the real question. We all know there's better handguns from the factory, but even as a gun guy, I have a hard time replacing free.

    I have one as well as their CZ75B Omega in Urban Gray as well and I still prefer the feel of the the 75B but the sight picture, suppression and trigger all feel identical. I’d pick the P09 if I had to use it for a duty gun though. I love this pistol! My only gripe is they both have a lot of blowback with a Griffin Armament Revo 9 but have had no issues with that with the Rugges Obsidian 45.

      Own both a p10s and a gen 4 g26, p10s out of the box is much better imo
      More mag cap + like the glock it can accept all p10+p07-9 mags
      Night sights ootb
      Cz feels to have less overall recoil
      Cz has a good undercut and no awful finger grooves
      P10 trigger is a good 1.5lbs less and much crisper than the glocks

    The only real negatives on it are these: the OEM firing pin retaining pin (last I checked still being made by the manufacturer this way) can become chipped easily and seize up the firing pin in the channel. Happened to me. Gun is DONE until you take it apart. The trigger return spring is also notably weak, and broke on mine after about 3k rounds.
    Now, replace those bits with ones from Cajun Gunworks and you have yourself a weapon that's a peg below bringing a PCC to a fight. Absolutely phenomenal handgun and I trust my life to it every day.

    Only problem I have is finding a Lvl 3 holster for work, that’s not the pistol’s fault but it is worthy of note.

    Only negative for the p07/09 pistols is the price of magazines. I mean is pretty common to run across these mags for close to $50, which is a bit outrageous

      James T Kirk yeah, at least mec-gar makes cheaper mag options for the the 75 series. Some reason they don’t make the cheaper mags for the p07/9. Since they make CZ’s mags it’s probably part of their agreement to only make CZ branded 07/9 mags so cz can charge $50 a mag lol

    the firing pin retaining pin is a major problem. If you are like any serious shooter who does dry fire practices with any seriousness...you will likely see a retaining pin failure. If you are going to buy this gun, just buy a hardened replacement pin and install it.

    • @82lowe36id
      @82lowe36id 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      All you have to do is use an oring to keep the hammer from hitting the firing pin. A hardened pin is not the way to go. Get the CGW version and you will be good to go.

    • @johngoodell2775
      @johngoodell2775 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Claymore correct the CGW pin is hardened/better steel

    • @82lowe36id
      @82lowe36id 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johngoodell2775 ah I see what you are saying. Thought you were talking about a solid pin. Those go against the design of the FPRP being a wear item and they instead damage the firing pin. The CGW pin is excellent since it still absorbs the impact.

    • @g.k.6913
      @g.k.6913 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Or us snap caps like everyone else, it cost almost nothing and works better than everything you mentioned and dry firing isn't good for most guns no matter what people say, so it's better to use snap caps.

    • @johngoodell2775
      @johngoodell2775 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@g.k.6913 yeah except some snap caps buffer the firing pin more than others so the advice from the owner community is to still use o-rings even with snap caps...meaning its really using the o-ring that matters
