      @Buttbanging Trannyliberal Yes for a current time handgun of course. I haded in last time lots of different polymere handguns in my hands. The only one I really was fascinated was the P09. I have tried the P10 but it have much more clearance between grip and slide. Also I must say the P09 I have tested haded a minimal and I mean really a minimal clearance between slide and grip. The one I own have absolutly no clearance between slide and grip. The trigger is much better then from Glock and the manufacturing quality is very high for the price you pay for the P09. For me it also was important to have a poly gun with a outside hammer. So I can load and charge the gun uncharge the hammer and the gun is ready to shoot double action or charging the hammer again for single action. Dont understand me wrong I really have tried Glock but the CZ have convinced me. Otherwise I would not have buyed me a polymere handgun. High Cap is also a reason to recommend it.

    The CZ P-07 Duty has been my EDC for almost eight years now.
    From the CZ P-07 Duty to the P-07 and P-09 pistols they ALL come with the Omega trigger system. The Ohm symbol is not the determining factor. Many people confuse the shape of the trigger to denote that it has the Omega trigger which simply isn't the case. The Omega trigger system is internal and is what also allows you to be able to change over from manual safety to decocker and vice versa.
    Trigger smoothness between the original ones and the newer ones should be the same, because the only thing that changed is the physical trigger shape.
    These are excellent pistols!
    I used to use my P-07 Duty in IDPA competitions and even won my class.
    You are 100% correct that the P-07 is ideal for EDC - perfect size and weight. An extremely reliable and accurate pistol.
    Definitely a keeper!

      I had a new p10c but sold it last month and I liked it,I got a new 09 tactical today and I absolutely love it.
      All my other pistols are compact pistols and this is the perfect full size 9mm hammer fired pistol and the s.a pull is 4lbs and I love it.
      I may look for a shorter stroke trigger but the pull is already great and smooth.

      @@oscarlax5956 I don't know how it works in other countries but when my father was a cop after a few years on the force you can choose a different firearm from an approved list (or go through a tedious approval process). Most cops don't because there usually aren't extra parts/mags, they have to purchase the gun they want to use as opposed to being issued one from the department, or they don't want to go through the hassle of the process. I think his department was using the Smith and Wesson Model 5906 (or the one that comes in. 40) but they allowed him to use a Beretta 92 (he was more familiar with it from his military days) after a few years. It's still more common to see officers with different holsters than pistols though.

    I like the way CZs shoot. I bought my first CZ well over two decades ago. However, I have concluded that the inside riding slide reduces the gripping area, and under stress drill I had my hand slip a few times without full malfunction clearance. I noticed the beveling is a little different in the back of the P-09. I have my carry needs well covered, so I think I'm leaning towards a P-09 with a threaded barrel which, from what I can tell, would probably add about 40 fps in velocity. That's not a lot, but if I don't need it to carry, I might as well get my 9mm's a little closer to my .357 SIG. The extra sight radius is nice as well (unless I add an optic).

    The slide being inside the frame could possibly make the slide a little lighter, which may help with recoil, but the bore axis is not actually lower due to the slide being inside the frame.

    • @thinman8621
      @thinman8621 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are right. Flipping the rail from inside to outside doesn't change the height of the bore. Also, the inside railed slide means the amount of slide above the frame is reduced when contrasted with outside railed slides. CZ has very shallow amount of frame to grab when cycling slide by hand.

    • @Josh-ss1xn
      @Josh-ss1xn ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm looking at mine right now, the barrel is inside the slide and with the slide inside the frame it's actually down lower and the grip with the beavertail you can really get close to the slide as far as the smaller slide height I've not had much trouble racking the slide the slide serrations are really aggressive

    P-09 gumps higher after each shot,because of longer slide and barrel,wich both have a little more weght,and this additional weght helps the pistol p-09 to gump higher than p-07. So,for home protection the p-07 is better,because of short distance in home,wich means you will need to fire very fast,and because of not very high barrel gump,the bullets will go in one place. The p-09 is nice for long range and not fast shoting.

    Why does everyone say CZs have a low bore axis?? They really don't compared to glocks since you can't grip as high on the frame due to the hammer and beavertail. The softer recoil impulse is due to less reciprocating mass in the slides

    Train to swipe the safety down on the draw and to decock/reapply the safety when reholstering. Problem solved.
    I don't trust heavy DA triggers to be as safe as a safety. Further, I want a sensitive trigger and the ability to choose between DA/SA on the first shot, so I need the hammer down, safety engaged in holster to tame that trigger. Third, I want the hammer decocked and safety reapplied prior to reholstering. Problem solved.
    P07 could lose 1-1.5" in length to make it better for concealed carry.
    Big guns. Few features. High cost. Nice ergonomics. Nice quality control and capacity.
    Four years later, we're still perfecting fully featured DA/SA, integrated safety/decocker, 10+ round micro sized all metal guns. All I'm basically looking for is a double stack 9mm Walther PPK/S--very old design.
    I shouldn't have to pay HK prices just to have a decocker/manual safety in one switch, at least as an option.
    My 90s .40 S&W Bersa Thunder had these safety/decocker DA/SA features in a 7.5" 13+1 compact gun 30 years ago. It isn't hard to do. It's just market demand.
    Polymer striker fired micro 9s have slowed innovation in the micro 9 DA/SA manual safety/decocker hammer fired market.
    It's a shame for those of us who prefer higher quality pistols than whatever companies can copy from Glock and Sig in their striker fired poly concealed carry micro 9 segments.

    Great vid !!!!!!!! Hoping you can give me some advice. So I have a P-07 and it's loaded at all times. so I was showing this gun to my friend and I removed the fully loaded magazine. I racked the slide to eject the bullet from the chamber and IT DOES NOT EJECT. I haven't been able to go to the range to at least get the bullet out. what say you !!!!!!!!!!!

      This is a very dangerous situation - most likely the round "skipped the extractor" either because the case is jammed or the extractor is damaged. There are some steps to resolve this but the risk of an unintended discharge while doing so is high if you don't know exactly what to do. If you don't already know how to do it, I would suggest you engage the safety or use the docker (depending upon how it is set up), put it in a case without the magazine, take it to the gunsmith in the case, tell him without removing it from the case the situation (make sure he knows it is chambered and that the extractor is not removing the round) and let him resolve it for you. I hesitate to try to list the steps because a single mistake can result in injury or death. Make sure to keep it pointed in a safe direction the entire time you are handling it.

    Bore axis isn’t really lowered, just slide mass above the bore. If you measure from the beavertail to the firing pin (bore) it’s comparable to most other hammer fired guns. I like the P07/09, I just prefer the traditional cz’s more. I wish cz would have made the p01 phantom when they made the sp01 phantom. I guess the weight saving from aluminum to polymer wouldn’t have been that great though.

    • @bdm1000
      @bdm1000 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I partially agree, but the firing pin axis is lower than it is on either my SIG P229 or my Beretta PX4 Storm. It's just that a lot of people exaggerate this feature as if it brings it down to the bore axis of a striker-fired gun like a Glock (but it does not). I don't know of any hammer guns with the bore axis quite as low as on a CZ, but you're right. It is not a low bore axis, it is just a low bore axis for a hammer-fired gun in my opinion.

    • @protectiverailroaddad7541
      @protectiverailroaddad7541 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Forum and Brim my HK’s and Cz’s have roughly the same bore axis with the edge slightly going to the Cz’s. The slide being shorter gives that illusion. You’re right though, it’s a low bore axis for a hammer fired gun. However, even high bore axis striker fired pistols like my sig p320 has a lower bore axis than my cz p01 and 75B

    I admit to being a Sig / Ruger fan……
    Bought a CZ P-07 a couple of months ago……and did NOT like it…!!
    Double action was gritty…..and I have NO idea where the rounds went !
    I cross a river on my way home…….and thought about tossing it….
    When I cleaned it, I noticed the rear sight was clearly not centered…..
    Decided to put an XS sight on it…….and run a few more rounds through it.
    Really glad I did !
    Completely different gun…..and, in fact, it is a dead heat for my favorite 9mm.
    ( the other is my Sig M-11 A-1. )
