CZ P-09 How does it compare to Glock or Springfield?

- The CZ P09 was introduced in 2009 and seems to hold up well against the modern competitors. This full-sized pistol is easy to shoot and very accurate. European guns always catch my attention. One of the first pistols I fell in love with when I turned 21 was the CZ P09. I became a Glock fan boy later in life and have been one until the Echelon was introduced. I still love each pistol, but the Echelon is becoming my favorite. But no matter wghich one you choose they all are great pistols and will treat you well.

i shot glocks forever and day. They shot decent for me, but my buddy had a p07. It shot so much better for me i vouldnt believe it. I bought a p09 that day as i like full size guns. Liked it so much i bought another p09. They've been the best pistol for me hands down. Then i figured i better get the p07. Its my edc and goes eveywhere with me. I freaking love the cz pistols
Glock or CZ. Only 2 handguns that matter to me. CZ is king
I want to CC the CZ P-09. I'm a big, stocky guy. I currently carry a Taurus G3 with a 18 round mag, and I carry an extra 17 round mag. I don't even notice I'm carrying the 4" barrel G3. At 6' tall, 36" waist, and 220_lb, I think I can carry the P-09. The suppressor version might be more difficult to conceal.
Have the P07 & P09... love them both!
Love CZ 💗
Just got a P 09 from Classic Firearms for $350. Good reliable pistol, most reviewers seem to like it. 21 round mags are available. Just be aware in double action the trigger pull is long and about ten pounds, as you would expect, not too bad for DA. However, in single action the trigger pull is a bit over 4 pounds, but the trigger pull is long, unlike a 1911, with the trigger going 3/8 of an inch until there is resistance and another 1/8 inch until the pistol fires. So, a half an inch total until anything happens. Disappointing if you compare it to a good single action striker fired pistol like the Walther PPQ, which has an excellent trigger. For $350 bucks it's OK.
I got mine for a killer price and I fell in love with it immediately. Got an RMR cut to the slide from DP Custom Works and it has been an amazing firearm. I’ve been a striker fired guy for decades now but wanted an DA/SA that I really liked. The CZ P09 has been nothing short of awesome for me so far.
How much did it cost to get the slide cut?
@@gundeity1 I got it for $75. Just had to ship it out and wait. Took about two weeks and it was sent back.
@@az_desert_hermit9507 ill have to check them out
Optics are strictly for Mr Magoo 👀.
Very entertaining ✌️🇨🇿👍
I've had my P09 for years it's a great weapon in 9 mm I love it😊
Agreed
Good, Thx
Mine has been rock solid. It's a well built and durable pistol. The magazines are of very good quality also. It's a solid duty pistol and makes for a good home defense choice too. It much more comfortable in the hand than a Glock 17. This is one of those solid pistols that can flex into several different roles.
I love mine!
Awesome video 👍🏼👍🏼 I just ordered the P07 here in Western Pa for $462 before tax. Standard Glock 19 gen 5 are going for $550-560.
Definitely and the p07 is so good looking too
Enjoyed your review man!!!! I actually never even knew about Cz till recently.I just got back into shooting, and I have been hearing really good things about them.I am more use to Smith & Wesson,Colt,Ruger etc,but I heard Cz bought Colt, and if Colt is apart of them now. They must be a good company.I could be wrong, but from what I’m hearing I’m probably thinking right.I wanna get me one eventually, and see how they are for myself.
Primary Machine does Greattt optics cutting for the P-09. I Also highly recommend you get the DPM System spring for the P-09. Its worth the upgrade in durability and control.
Thanks for the input I will look into both
PSA got the Suppressor ready version goin for $450 right now. Just got mine but these aren't Suppressor height sights...no big deal to me as ill be changing to Triji tfx or something. Bought a trigger kit to lessen pull but not sure that I want to yet...I'm always making my pistols have -3 lb triggers but for carry should I be?
I have the psa dagger full-sized and it's a great gun. As for carry weight for triggers I personally prefer 4.5-6lb but if you have a good holster a 3lb trigger won't hurt carrying.
CZ 9 is made in Kansas City MO. CZ owns colt. CZ75 P01 shadow is badass
They have a cz USA in MO but my cz p09 is stamped czech republic on the frame and imported to MO
I mean its how you look at it. with dropping a round directly into the chamber bypassing the rejecter - actually you can put it onto the rejecter(arm?) just before the chamber let it grip there on the arm, release the slide, it goes in the chamber, I think if you dont do it that way you just wear the rejecter arm, forcing it to jump catching the rim casing, thats my thought, if Im wrong, cool, if I am not, cool
The CZ is such a better gun than the Glock. Glock is quickly becoming Harley Davidson.
Debatable but they are nice
What kind of holster are you using?
In this video I'm using a Blackhawk omnivore for tlr-1
The CZ is heavier than the Glock, and has a lower bore axis.
I just bought a brand new P-09 for $450 out the door. Great pistol.
Nice!!
I never liked the Glock trigger. I do like the CZ 09
I wouldn't say that decocking the P09 makes the trigger lighter, it just shortens the DA pull some.
I'll have to get a trigger gauge on it because it feels lighter than the DA but heavier than the SA but it could also be because not as much travel.
A few companies, including CZ, make universal optics base plates that screw into the rear sight holes of the CZ P-09. Obviously, thats not as good as having a slide milled for optics, but they are nice oltiond to have, and they're pretty inexpensive. The red dot will of vourse be expensive!
I'll have to look into that
@@gundeity1 I found one aftermarket on for $58, and the one CZ sells for $80.
The 1980's called and they want their Glock bocks back 😂
If you know you know!
The P -09 is comprable to the G17, not the G19
I find the CZ P09 to be top heavy and not correctly balanced (I shoot full metal frame 1911's and 2011's). It also has the worst trigger I've felt in a production gun, it has lots of take-up and the reset is not so easy to find when shooting the gun. I have a Glock 34 and stock out of the box it shot much better than the P09. Just my opinion, you might like the P09, just not for me!
That's fair enough. Everyone I'd different that is why it's so important for a prospective buyer to try the pistol first. Even if it's just holding it at dryfiring
I got a suppressor read model this po9 is a must have firearm.
