@@lilianag7092 Not quite. The cult excuses it, but Dani didn’t know he was drugged and coerced into having sex with Maja. From her perspective, it looked like he was cheating when she caught him in the act. Also, it was his choice to drink the beverage he took. He had a thing for Maja from the beginning, and he took a hard look at her before drinking a beverage he knew would “break down [his] defenses.” He wanted to have sex with her, and he presumed that Maja made the drink for him so that they could do it.
The people that Pelle and his brother brought are not random friends but carefully selected. Pelle's brother brought two people meant to be sacrificed. He didn't like them so to speak. He thought he was dating her and then rejected him for another guy. He then decided to befriend both of them and bring them to midsommar. Pelle also carefully selected his friends. Christian was considered early on as a possible mate for his sister (I think she was his sister). We can see this when we first see the girl, she is looking at a mirror and tries to ready herself for something. She and Christian has never met before then.
Pele definitely scouted Dani. Cults often look for vulnerable people because they're easily manipulated. He must've gotten his rocks off in excitement when he heard about Dani and then what happened to her family.
@@toleble7301 He also scouted Christian, when they were at the bar teasing him about getting the "waitress pregnant now", Pele said "or you could get a Swedish girl pregnant."
Let's give kudos for this movie for using the Neverending daylight as an horror element, and to create an unsettling feeling without relying on jumpscarses and the night. The only time we saw night we knew to separate it from reality
I kinda thought the never ending light was part of the lack of control. Not that the cult is doing it but that element leans into confusion and lack of awareness like we literally see the first time Dani wakes up.
Scariest part was were Christian was tripping, asked the man to help him and he clapped in his face. Sounds flat but the level of anxiety I felt in that moment is unmatched, it reminded me of how sad bad trips can be....
420 Friendly Lol you fail at your username. I’ve seen a number of people puzzled by that scene, you’re trying too hard to look smart. Work on your confidence issues instead of lashing out.
The scariest for me was the first trip they had with Dani under the tree. I had a similar bad trip when i had to talk myself into relaxing. Anxiety is no joke trust me and worse with drugs.
Horror does not have to be scary. It can be dark, disturbing, shocking, bizarre, it has to make you feel something. Scared can be one of those feelings.
I've seen versions of this comment over and over again in the comment section and am very confused. how is this movie not scary? the other additives describe it well, too, but I don't see how the word scary can't be used as a descriptor
@@marleyf8230 I mean, I guess it depends on how people feel about horror. I can say in the U.S. at least, we consider horror usually to be more obvious and dark and generally monstrous. I personally consider this a horror movie and think it's scary in a psychological way. Scary/disturbing.
I think it’s very ironic how when Dani broke down, all these villager women broke down with her in solidarity but it was essentially because of them that she was breaking down in the first place. I think the ending definitely means that these rituals consumed her and she had nothing left to lose and the only way she’d survive is if she surrendered herself completely to the cult and “embraced” it.
She seems easily coerced which is why I think it was difficult for her to leave the relationship especially with how vulnerable and alone she was. Always pointing the blame at herself, especially after all the bs Chris put her through by invalidating her feelings. It definitely makes u feel more alone until u have people to ugly cry with ☹️. I think that's why she was satisfied in the end, even though it was fucked up, she was finally in control and surrounded by a family.
I've never seen a movie like this. Nothing scary about it. Just really fucking disturbing. Just one long sweaty fever dream. I don't even know if I like it or hate it lmfao
anyone notice how the cult always mimics the sounds or emotions that another member is feeling. when the elder man didn’t die from the fall of the cliff and started groaning, the whole group started groaning too. same with the girl moaning and the other women following, and the same when dani starting wailing and the girls did the same.
Or block out the suffering of those suffering (like how they said you won't feel any pain to the 2 guys in the yellow building when being burned and no one could hear them scream)
I kinda like the communal shared emotions thing when they comforted Dani, it makes sense thematically. Like she finally got the comfort and understanding of her feelings that Christian and his friend group never gave her.
@@ashm2338 Cults target the scarred, people in grief, at a crossroads- They make easy targets. Cults manipulate and coerce the vulnerable into their grasps. It's rather sad. If you haven't heard of 'Jonestown' should check it out.
i think it was all just a manipulative tactic, according to florence pugh when dani smiled it wasn't just because it was a cathartic moment of acceptance but dani was just so far gone by the end of the whole thing. the cult as most cults do successfully took someone who was unstable and vulnerable to be apart of them, it was sort of similar to hereditary in a sense that whatever became of them didn't come naturally, it was orchestrated by a bigger group to slowly put a strain in relationships and drive individuals into death and or insanity.
When everyone were watching the dance of the girls on the first day, Mark asks what they are playing, Pelle say it’s Skin the fool and that’s how Mark ends.
That's how one of the little boys ended. I just thought it was a strange trannslation from Swedish to English ... gosh, I didn't know where that movie was going at this point.

I wondered how Swedes would like this movie lol. I figured they’d just think this is how Americans think they all are haha. We don’t think that btw. It’s just a good movie.
As somebody who lives across the street from a funeral home, i'd like to point out that that crown at the end is made entirely of _grave site flowers_ . Definitely ominous foreshadowing since no other May Queen is seen during the movie's entire run.
Only people that have done psychedelics can notice this, it's an experience you can try to explain but only if you live it you would truly understand it.
I just realized that every time Dani has a panic attack she runs and hides and doesn't that just say so much about how Christian made her feel??? then at the end Dani is not only accepted but encouraged to share her emotions. .. I know they're a cult but damn, where can I get some support like that???
@Pratishtha Khari yeah, they didn't even try that hard to stop Dani from seeing something that will undoubtedly traumatise her, that they also arranged. It's all manipulation :/
@@whackink yeah that was my thinking. Pelle reminds me of the tale when sun and wind competed. They wanted to see who can take off a traveler's jacket first. The wind blew hard to try to yank the jacket from the traveler, but the traveler only clung to it harder. The sun did things a little differently, it slowly and gently heated up the traveler, so the traveler took the jacket off willingly. Pelle and the cult are the sun in this scenario, they manipulate under the guise of care and good will
It’s inspired by ancient Nordic culture. They did capture people to bring new blood, sell as slaves or sacrifice. And the guy suspended with his lungs pulled out his back, that’s a Blood Eagle, they actually did that.
Just to include, I also noticed the scene where Dani dreamed being left by his boyfriend and his friends in the middle of the night. At the end I realised that it was sort of a symbolism that she will be the only one left among the travellers.
Yeah I just finished that now and I thought the same thing, before the guys in the car were laughing and happy and she was unhappy and crying but it was the reverse at the end of the movie
Bruh, am I the only one that was just in a deep, silent, “what the fuck is going on”, type of state? Like I was just silent for the last 30 minutes, just in awe like, what the fucking is happening? 😂😂
Humayra Faizah i think that was the point. dany's boyfriend and his friends were anthropologists doing their thesis ethnographies on midsommar, so i think the movie was supposed to give a somewhat objective view of the culture and make you experience it along with the main characters.
Yeah, alot of people are really dumb and think this movie is actually based on swedish culture. Like yeah, the sun is up all the time in real life and we eat food and dance around a pole of flowers, but they could have done something else. We have many interesting creatures in sweden. For example we have forest women that seduces people but have a rotten tree as a back and a tail, she then keeps the men in her forest for eternity(Skogsrå). We also have a man that plays the violin near the water and he will try to drown you but if you give him a black cat he will teach you songs, some of which are cursed (Näcken). We have alot of these and it would be better to just have a movie about our actual culture.
Am I the only one who gets a Charlie and the chocolate factory feel? like how there were multiple people that each made a different mistake, resulting in one last person?
What do you get when you piss on the tree Where all the ancient ancestors be? Where are you at, don't photograph that What do you think will come of that I don't like the look of it
It's just a silly mashup of many things. The Wicker Man, Shirley Jackson's The Lottery, the Midsommar festivity, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, etc. Who knows what else. Hollywood just puts random shit in a blender to see what happens.
@leonardo h Population 436, you forget that movie..Im so happy people recognize this is nowhere close to oringinal now ..Writers just copying along w/ putting there flare and a twist (maby)in it.
The guy clapping in Christian's face is an ironic jab at his reaction towards Dani's need for him in her darkest times. "...Why would you do that?" Role reversal. Hilarious and subtle.
altho i agree that christian is a jerk, HE COULDVE LEFT HER MANY TIMES FOR HIM BUT DIDNT !! thats what the movie wants you to think, that he is a jerk when he's not
At the end, in the yellow pyramid, he gave one guy sap from the yew tree and said "this is so you'll feel no pain". Then he gave a different guy the sap and said "this is so you'll feel no fear". So the guy who felt no fear, could still feel pain.
I could be wrong, but I think I remember seeing the guy with no fear just calmly looked at the one with no pain, while the one with no pain started breathing heavily and looked anxious.
Honestly.my friend was saying that Christian looks like seth Rogen and kept telling him I dont see it but 1 hr into the movie he kind of resembled him when he did that lip jaw thing seth does.but then my friend said he also looks like chris pratt.and I told him that that's a stretch.and he said if seth Rogen and chris pratt had a baby hell look like him.i.still dont see it at all.
To me the funniest scene was Dani trying to walk in that insane flower tent she got dressed in at the end. She looked like a huge flower snail, I just totally lost it.
Lmao this scene had the opposite effect on me! I got anxious as all hell imagining being trapped in that flower prison while you’re already having a panic response! But she definitely looked like a giant slug haha
Fun fact: it was raining during filming of that scene, so Florence was also a giant tarp. All you could see was a bunch of green, her face, and her coffee cup 😂
I love how Pelle additionally foreshadows what will happen when he tells Dani that his parents died in a fire, but he didn’t feel like an orphan because the commune became his family. (Although his parents’ death does confuse me a bit as the ritual happens every 90 years, so I presume he just made it up? to subliminally get the idea into her head.)
Youngyoungin 111 yeah and he literally knew it was gonna be bad if you watch the actual movie whenever they are talking about the ritual with the elders the guy who took them wouldn’t tell them and Christian asked the black guy if he knew what was gonna happen and he knew but he wouldn’t tell them and he literally never tried to escape despite knowing that they were evil
@@juliedelrio6986 nah, so basically a phrase was said, that the guy already knew, and it was probably a weird ritual or ceremonial thing, but I don't think the black guy thought it would be dangerous or scary, just an adventure. The black guy def didn't think a bunch of bad shit would happen, just maybe weird cult ritual stuff.
"Ending Explained" usually means going in to depth about what the ending meant by analyzing the psychological and developmental arc of the characters and in this case mainly what the cult is. I felt this didn't brought anything new to me:/
Is no one going to talk about the meat pies? The two elders leap off the cliff. Siv tells them “we recycle everything”, or similar. The bodies are burned on a huge brazier. The next day(?), the women are making meat pies in the building just beyond where the bodies were burned.
No remember all those animals they had around and you can hear them crying out in pain as they're being sacrificed off in the distance… That's when Connie decides to get the fuck out of there
Harper Ant We do see Connie and Simon‘s bodies at the burning in the end and they clearly haven‘t been made into a pie. I think the main purpose of the scene was 1. to show how Dani started to get integrated more and more 2. to show Maja preparing the special meat pie. I don‘t think the kind of dish prepared holds any real significance in this case. I could be wrong though, you never know.
It’s nice to have a horror movie being bright and you can see what happing unlike every other horror movie where it’s so dark you have no idea what’s going on
Right? Also she's seen taking Ativan before she finds out about the death of her entire family, so it's safe to say she had mental health issues beforehand. Partners are supposed to support eachother.
Dude should have gotten rid of this broad & went on the trip with just his boys. She has the worst pants & shorts, they make her bottom look huge which ruined the whole movie for me. He should have told this flatso to kick rocks.
the fact that this guy interprets the movie's ending as positive is absolutely mind blowing to me. that's the genius thing about it though, it makes you empathise with her and you don't even realise that this is the most horrific ending possible - her mind is broken and she is literally consumed by their ritual, symbolised in her dress. It's the end of the journey for her - she's been completely indoctrinated, and so has the audience.
@@aydanscott9871 that, just like the guy who explains the movie in this video, a part of the audience think that her ending as the leader of the cult was a positive thing
One thing I’ve noticed most haven’t mentioned.. That all the non Scandinavian/Northern European looking guests were sacrificed first- you hear one of the elders say ‘we try to keep our bloodlines pure but sometimes we have to bring in outsiders’ .. so Danni and Christian were the only ones really of any use to the cult.

That and getting anxious and not being able to wait. The amount of times they push an annoying 70 or 71 year old to their death is probably quite high. ;)
In the guys' apartment, when Dani talks to Pelle, he seems to be wearing his distinct Midsommar crown already because you can see the plant in the background and it seems like it is on his head. Pelle seems positively charged everytime he sees Dani. I don't know exactly what would happen after the film, but Pelle seems to believe Dani is a perfect addition to his commune family.
(My name is also Josh) When they showed Josh’s leg sticking out of the ground, I leaned over to my friend and whispered “looks like they’re growing a Joshua Tree”
I think the whole group feel emotions and pain in unison. Not sure how but it seems the rituals, the prayers etc all add up to eventually connecting all the souls together hence why at the end when their people were burning in that hut they were all crying out in pain including Dani
Right?!? You may mimic behavior & pretend to feel such empathy. But you don't know me, you can't possibly understand my pain. Just because you dance around & scream doesn't mean you have a clue what it's like to be burned alive. Ugh.
Ashlee Brown I think just the overall sense of dread portrayed? Especially as everything was happening in this sunny supposedly idyllic place, it just didn’t match the stereotypical at night horror film. And that made it all the more frightening. (the man splayed apart with his skin peeled open as a ‘blood eagle’ was particularly yucky tho😂)
also, as dani was putting seeds, meat, & egg into the hole in the earth, christian was literally (symbolically lol) doing the same to maya. my friend's & i just watched this & one friend pointed it out 😭
Dani being the only one who didn't bow at the beginning of the May Queen ritual foreshadows that she would be the last one standing after the dance, and would be crowned!
Guys this was about revenge. The man who brought the british couple wanted to get back at them because he liked connie but she liked Simmon. He knew they were going to die and so did pelle. Pelle liked Dani. He hated how Christain, Josh, and Mark talked about her. So to get back at them they were sacrificed on purpose it was a setup . How did they know Josh was going back to take a picture? BECAUSE OF PELLE. That’s why Dani won may queen. THEY FAKED IT.Pelle wanted her and knew she was vulnerable and wanted to get rid of her haters.Plus he was talking shit about christian so when it was time for him to sacrificed he knew she wouldn’t be as sad because he had sex with ole girl and he didn’t want her to begin with.

I think an aspect most people miss is that the mayqueen was supposed to be Connie...and Simon was destined for the bear. But Dani tagging along gave pelle a late entry and beat his brother in a family tradition
@@H4rd5tyl3r just concentrate on 3 elements. 1. The community needs to introduce new DNA periodically to keep the gene pool sustainable. 2. They have a tradition on how to do this, what we see unfold in the film must have happened many times before. This tradition requires young members of the community to lure in the bait. Out of all the people lured to the community most are just supposed to be killed however one female member gets to choose one male to receive sperm from before being killed. And one male member gets to choose a female to be a permanent member of the community(the mayqueen) 3. Assume the outside agents have communication with the elders while in the real world. Pelle must have had reported failure in finding a female to bring back, his brother must have reported success in finding Connie. Danni showing up would have caught the elders by surprise and essentially created a competition between Pelle and his brother for a wife. Pelle won because Connie was smarter and less pliable than Dani
@@maggiemay896 yeah Connie would have been more problematic, but it seems they mainly rely on keeping the mayqueen drugged. I guess we can assume that in time stockholm syndrome and enough brainwashing will make the person totally forget their old life

Yeah really weak form on that dive. I give it a 2/10
The people that Pelle and his brother brought are not random friends but carefully selected. She and Christian has never met before then.
omg you're right, I forgot about that part where pelle's brother was talking about how he met his friends
Pele definitely scouted Dani. Cults often look for vulnerable people because they're easily manipulated. He must've gotten his rocks off in excitement when he heard about Dani and then what happened to her family.
Good catch thank you. You're the only one I've seen bring this up so far

@@v1olante She asked more about Simon and Carey(?) then Josh and Mark
Dani cared, but Christian, Josh, and Mark were too foolish and self-absorbed to read into it.
Let's give kudos for this movie for using the Neverending daylight as an horror element, and to create an unsettling feeling without relying on jumpscarses and the night.
The only time we saw night we knew to separate it from reality
But what about when (sorry i forgot his name) that one guy went to take pics of their holy book or whatever in the middle of the night??
I kinda thought the never ending light was part of the lack of control. Not that the cult is doing it but that element leans into confusion and lack of awareness like we literally see the first time Dani wakes up.
Christian is not only a bad boyfriend but he threw his friends under the bus as well
She was hard work to say the least.

Scariest part was were Christian was tripping, asked the man to help him and he clapped in his face. Sounds flat but the level of anxiety I felt in that moment is unmatched, it reminded me of how sad bad trips can be....
It was manipulation. They all started ignoring/rejecting him except the girl they wanted him to fuck. They herded him to her.

This part was not scary 😐
Horror does not have to be scary. It can be dark, disturbing, shocking, bizarre, it has to make you feel something. Scared can be one of those feelings.
Yes!! So true!
And in BROAD DAYLIGHT. This film is a masterpiece.
Ari aster even said this wasn't a horror movie. Which makes it that much more brilliant.
I think that's why she was satisfied in the end, even though it was fucked up, she was finally in control and surrounded by a family.

anyone notice how the cult always mimics the sounds or emotions that another member is feeling. when the elder man didn’t die from the fall of the cliff and started groaning, the whole group started groaning too. same with the girl moaning and the other women following, and the same when dani starting wailing and the girls did the same.
yes i did notice that, they usually do it to kind of relate or become one with whoever is in pain or is experiencing some new feeling
Or block out the suffering of those suffering (like how they said you won't feel any pain to the 2 guys in the yellow building when being burned and no one could hear them scream)
Anyone notice? That's an incredibly obvious, large part of their cultural practice. Id be confused if someone didn't notice
Yeah its called manifesting. Evil stuff
what i noticed was the parallelism between the orgasmic mimicking of the sex sce e and the sorrowful mimicking the women do with dani.
I kinda like the communal shared emotions thing when they comforted Dani, it makes sense thematically. Like she finally got the comfort and understanding of her feelings that Christian and his friend group never gave her.
It's almost good for a person like her to be in a community like that. She's a complete mess and those people thrive on the structure of cults.
@@ashm2338 Cults target the scarred, people in grief, at a crossroads- They make easy targets. Cults manipulate and coerce the vulnerable into their grasps. It's rather sad.

it felt pretty manipulative to me. They're the ones who pushed it to happen in the first place.
i think it was all just a manipulative tactic, according to florence pugh when dani smiled it wasn't just because it was a cathartic moment of acceptance but dani was just so far gone by the end of the whole thing. the cult as most cults do successfully took someone who was unstable and vulnerable to be apart of them, it was sort of similar to hereditary in a sense that whatever became of them didn't come naturally, it was orchestrated by a bigger group to slowly put a strain in relationships and drive individuals into death and or insanity.

It was hella boring. Felt like an effing documentary about pagan rituals.

Right?!? You may mimic behavior & pretend to feel such empathy. But you don't know me, you can't possibly understand my pain. Just because you dance around & scream doesn't mean you have a clue what it's like to be burned alive. Ugh.
@@razzprince2877 They don't. It's all mimicry.
the movie was cinematically stunning but still managed to completely disturb me, top marks, but I may never sleep again
I still found Hereditary a more exciting watch.
But god damn was this movie beautiful to look at.
Agreed I felt...Vacant and yet disturbed
gingerels what was the most disturbing thing
Ashlee Brown I think just the overall sense of dread portrayed? Especially as everything was happening in this sunny supposedly idyllic place, it just didn’t match the stereotypical at night horror film. And that made it all the more frightening. (the man splayed apart with his skin peeled open as a ‘blood eagle’ was particularly yucky tho😂)
@@gingerels Definitely! Wow.. that makes a lot of sense.
"So, how disturbing do you want this movie to be?"
Director: "Yes."
Wtf when they started crying with her I thought they were mocking her, I would be pissed lmao
Yup me too those crazy bitches
that was one of my favorite parts, its like extreme empathy
i started laughing
i was laughing the whole time in that scene and my sister stared at me at the same time wondering why she's related to me
nady same lol
also, as dani was putting seeds, meat, & egg into the hole in the earth, christian was literally (symbolically lol) doing the same to maya. my friend's & i just watched this & one friend pointed it out 😭
that is crazy - thanks for pointing that out!
Thank you! I was wondering about this.
Dude, mind blown I didn't even catch that.
Mind.Blown.
Holy fuck now this shits just...
Dani being the only one who didn't bow at the beginning of the May Queen ritual foreshadows that she would be the last one standing after the dance, and would be crowned!
Nice observation
My sis and I talk about this a lot. That was the first thought I had as well. My sis did not agree. Nice to see someone else saw it as well.
I just assumed she didn't know what the fuck is happening 🤣
I just want a collab between Ari Aster and Jordan Peele, whatever they make will be legendary.
Oh that would be great wtf ..
you are so right
💳💥💥💳💥💳
I can see a lot of creative clashing

Either way, he was getting his face skinned off, unfortunately for him.
To be fair, he was not told ahead of time what the tree was lol
@@eldudereno204 dude should have walked a little further into ths woods to piss though, its unsanitary that close
John Pitt nah bro it’s all good.. the man had to piss.. fuck a family tree
THEY FAKED IT.Pelle wanted her and knew she was vulnerable and wanted to get rid of her haters.Plus he was talking shit about christian so when it was time for him to sacrificed he knew she wouldn’t be as sad because he had sex with ole girl and he didn’t want her to begin with.
my thoughts exactly. They definitely brought people out of revenge.
Definitely. Got a bad feeling since Connie brushed off him saying that they dated.
your mind is very large
that makes so much sense. i knew there was something i couldn't put my finger on. this is it
You are so rightttt I didn’t even think about it like that
i loved how they foreshadowed the pregnancy thing when christian and his friends were at the pub
?
RadicalCentrist-ClassicalLiberal In the beginning of the movie, where one of his friends (I forgot his name) said something along the lines of “you need to get a girl pregnant”
And I oop-
@@ak4me880 thanks. I totally missed that even in retrospective...
Welp. It did end their relationship so I guess he got what he wanted. This must be what, "be careful what you wish for" means.
I don't see anyone mentioning that Chris was clearly paralyzed, they cut his spinal cord to make him quadriplegic.
Oh so it wasn't the dust the old man blew in his face make him paralyzed? Cause I thought that was the thing that caused it.
In which part of the movie was this mentioned?
@@pyrokatarina it was not mentioned. It’s a very logical theory
@@alanasmith4928 that was just to put him to sleep
@@ZenPiggyy the average “proof?” Questioner vs the “i just made it up” enjoyer
Dani's smile at the end is her accepting "paganism" as she watches "Christian" burn
That’s an interesting thought lol clever
Be careful with that comment the pope might be reading
It's her letting go of grief and having control
That guy was an ass

Can you do Cats when it comes out? Because that is definitely a horror movie
Your a horrible person to recommend that

Literally I saw a screenshot of cats before I saw the trailer or even knew it was a thing, and I thought it was from a legit horror movie.

Ngl I wasn't warned about this movie before hand, I thought it was a modern remake of Shakespeare's midsummer's night dream, I was wrong and now I'm extremely traumatized
LMFAOO
To be fair, it maybe hard for someone to make Midsummer Nightdream movie in modern era. Last time i remember that movie have too much bike in it
No you didnt

Literally what I thought
After first person disappears:
1 hike as far away you can through woods.
2 find clearing
3 hit S.O.S. button on Garmin InReach
4 Wait for helicopter
This was my takeaway watching this flick. If you decide to stick around, your fate is sealed!
I think an aspect most people miss is that the mayqueen was supposed to be Connie...and Simon was destined for the bear. But Dani tagging along gave pelle a late entry and beat his brother in a family tradition
omfg i didnt even think of this. thats insane. but wouldn't connie have the same fate because of her reaction to the previous tradition?
lmaoooo connie got robbed
This makes sense but can you explain more? It’s so interesting
And one male member gets to choose a female to be a permanent member of the community(the mayqueen)
I guess we can assume that in time stockholm syndrome and enough brainwashing will make the person totally forget their old life
The movie wasn’t scary just extremely disturbing. That’s what sticks with you
Is disturbing not im some levels scary?
So beyond disturbing
It’s not “jump scare” scary. I don’t do jump scare horror, or slasher movies, or anything that just smashes you in the face with “this is scary.” Movies like this are more viscerally terrifying.
I have had dreams about it even weeks after xD
what the heck is your definition of scary lol. to me scary is an umbrella term and disturbing is just a category. I would go as far as disturbing means very uncomfortably scary
Ugh, do you guys hate it when you look for the giant Minecraft meatball but you get sacrificed by a swedish cult.
Ugh- it happens every time 🙄
Midsommar is the movie adaptation of the fricking chamber
Lol 🤣😂.
plip plop
The sacrifices were for Watersheep.
My favorite part was when Mark was trippn when they first took the shrooms and his response to someone approaching was "I don't want new people!"
Pel's mum and dad died in a fire. 🤔🤔
Seems they were sacrificed, too.

Huh, actually that may be it
I love these types of horror movies. Instead of never ending jump scares like IT 2, they actually made it so the viewers would feel uncomfortable while watching.
legit so much better right!!!!!
Well, to be fair, IT 2 and Midsommar are two very different types of media. Sure they're horror, but they're vastly different. It's like saying "dam, Midsommar really is better than the conjuring huh?"
Of course it is.
Midsommar is psychological horror.
IT is just hollywood horror.
It had one jump scare...the early quick shot of the inbred oracle.
its not scary its really just disturbing to be honest
