He thought he was dating her and then rejected him for another guy. He then decided to befriend both of them and bring them to midsommar. Pelle also carefully selected his friends. Christian was considered early on as a possible mate for his sister (I think she was his sister). Yeah, alot of people are really dumb and think this movie is actually based on swedish culture. Like yeah, the sun is up all the time in real life and we eat food and dance around a pole of flowers, but they could have done something else. We have many interesting creatures in sweden. For example we have forest women that seduces people but have a rotten tree as a back and a tail, she then keeps the men in her forest for eternity(Skogsrå). We also have a man that plays the violin near the water and he will try to drown you but if you give him a black cat he will teach you songs, some of which are cursed (Näcken). We have alot of these and it would be better to just have a movie about our actual culture.

Pelle liked Dani. He hated how Christain, Josh, and Mark talked about her. So to get back at them they were sacrificed on purpose it was a setup . How did they know Josh was going back to take a picture? BECAUSE OF PELLE. That’s why Dani won may queen. THEY FAKED IT.Pelle wanted her and knew she was vulnerable and wanted to get rid of her haters.Plus he was talking shit about christian so when it was time for him to sacrificed he knew she wouldn’t be as sad because he had sex with ole girl and he didn’t want her to begin with.

It's the end of the journey for her - she's been completely indoctrinated, and so has the audience.

My sis and I talk about this a lot. That was the first thought I had as well. My sis did not agree. Nice to see someone else saw it as well.

The scene where dany and the other village women where screaming together was strangely nice and satisfying?

Yes. It was cathartic, shocking and I kept thinking of how I'm giving this a ten on IMDb.

I thought the movie did such a good job of building up empathy with Dani to the point where hearing her express it was such an incredible relief; throughout the beginning she was working so hard to suppress her grief and hold it all in, even the sound of it, even thinking about it now just breaks my heart.

@@elizabethtangora4353 Even more because previously she isolates herself to cry. She is always alone with her pain, except for that scene. Finally she is not alone

This was just a summary, I was hoping he’d go more in depth into the ancient paintings, symbolism, etc. But maybe that’s just me!

Kono hetare yaro I mean the title does say summary and ending explained if you were expecting a deep analysis search that rather than a story summary.
