In this economy this could’ve been a great seller if the engine was simple and they focused on changing their reputation of being unreliable. A hornet with a naturally aspirated 2.0l engine (slow yes) at 23k I think would’ve been good for dodge. Now they have a bunch of paper weights sitting on the lots.
As a Dodge Dart owner… this will suffer the same fate and also get discontinued very quickly. That is way too much money for that thing. Just get a Model Y LR that’s bigger and better in every way and you’ll get 0-60 in like 4.5 seconds every time. No powershot crap needed 😒
Not even the same category 😮
@@klasseact6663 the category is small SUV… which they both are. 🙃 Was mainly comparing what you can find for the same price and get better technology and performance. There’s plenty of other none EV comparisons one can make as well.
The Model Y is hideous, built worst than this, and some people don't want a full EV yet due to infrastructure issues. If anything I'd get a Rav4 Prime or something like that and it would still run cheaper than this. However, I don't think anything in this class, maybe aside from the CX-50, handles as well as this car thanks to it's Italian DNA.
@austing4321 exactly and not only that the Tesla is an EV, no comparison but the other guy didn't quite get that🙄🤔
They missed an opportunity when they named it the R/T and not an SRT-4.
SRT doesn't exist anymore. They did say there will be a GLH model coming.
Love the look of this vehicle, but Chrysler is the (WORST) auto brand since i was a little boy and even nowadays the tradition continues.........
That's very subjective. My 05 Magnum was bought new and has 289k miles on it. The only issues being a warped dash and the shifter had a recall replacement. My 15 grand Cherokee summit has been great so far too. My aunts 07 rogue crapped out in 2012 with only 70k miles.
@dtay8913 so I guess Chrysler is top notch in reliability...😂
When fiat took over it got better but had flaws especially with the runaway gear shirt change and a Hollywood actor that was lost his life from this 😮 freak accident
@imdone1965 I mean, you're trying to be facetious, but speaking from my own experience, yes, yes it is.
@@dtay8913The Nissan Rogue didn’t even exist until 2007 as a 2008 model, so your bullshit story about your Aunt’s ‘05 crapping out on her is just as reliable as the Hornet will be out of warranty.
for the price, id probably be looking at an x1 m35i
This exterior looks dated 😔
Looks good to me, better than most others in its segment - But that's where the nice things I'd say about this car ends.
I like it just hope it doesn’t go the way of the Dart.
So dodge could make this car with a 2.0 turbo, get the same hp for probably 10k less but hey like all things "green" MO MONEY!!!!!!!! epic fail
52000 I don't think so I'm happy with my 2023 trailblazer LT for only 23000
Adjustable dampers and brembo breaks, on a sub-compact SUV designed to go from A-B... wow. No wonder cars cost so much these days. This is over-over kill.
At least your get rear ac vents.
I traded in a 2015 Grand Cherokee last month and I’d never buy a Chrysler product again. There are just too many other more reliable brands out there.
This car in Spanish is called Horne 😅😅
Thanks Beavis
yo what if they put a v8 in this thing 🤔
52k for a subcompact PHEV Dodge. This Charger EV price gonna be brutal.
Looks like a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero?
$52k I don’t think so
So they beefed it up, but its still underwhelming. It lacks space. The ride is mid at best. The fuel economy is non-existent. But the price pushes over 40k? Thats ridiculous. A crosstrek wilderness is better for less. A Santa Fe or Tuscon both are better values. What did Dodge actually accomplish with this car?
Recently heard on some podcast that many of the fairer sex do not want to drive a vehicle that’s named after hornets…can’t say if it’s true or not just repeating what the podcasters were saying. I think the stylings a little too close to the dart sedan in a cuv body shape.
We🇺🇲 never wanted a over priced turd box. If we wanted a alpha Romeo we would buy one 🇺🇲
Bro just review the car why u making everything about the Alfa Romeo like I get it they’re similar but it’s a dodge that we’re talkin about ..
The Dodge Journey was the brands last crossover
52k hahahaha no
The price point of the GT trim makes sense at around $30k. This trim starting above $40k is absolutely ridiculous. Nobody's going to pay 1/3 more to get a hybrid motor with mediocre gas mileage.
And to spend ANOTHER $10k for additional electronics on a car this cheap? Be serious😂.
Bro said 53! Now i'm embarrassed for people who buy one.
Terrible value for $52k rather get the Sportage or RAV4 PHEV.
Sportage blowing up engines
RAV4...aaaah, my eyes! hahah.
Wow! $$$$ too much!
Who in their right mind are buying these things at 50k? You can get a much better built Toyota or Honda for that money probably even cheaper.
RIP Dodge
This is an ugly car. Compated to the beautiful Alfa, I am not sure who would buy this. Dodge is also one of the least reliable brands.
Yet notice sofyans tester didn’t have a check engine light
@@naveenthemachineyeah I would hope that it doesn’t have a check engine light at the low mileage that it’s at, just because the check engine light isn’t on yet doesn’t mean it’s reliable, naveen get a grip go drive your 2002 Hyundai that your dad gave you 😂
@@noahh1997 actually we just got rid of it. It was time to give it away
The Alfa very ugly...the wheels on it are incredibly ugly too. And it doesn't matter who is more or less reliable. It's the same car and it's not made by Dodge.
@@naveenthemachineHey Naveen, the CX-30 looks like a great ride, but the reliability is questionable. It might fall apart after 4 years. Mazda
The 15 year old key fob is a joke
Ruined a classic AMC name plate.
This car just already looks dated, cheap, and made for a rental fleet even though it's brand-new
Stellantis is wrong destroying these companies. This styling is boring. They need new design language. They basically came out with a new car with a 10 year old design. There’s nothing impressive here.
One of the worst looking cars I’ve ever seen. Disgrace to Dodge brand. I guess Stellantis wants to euthanize Dodge and Chrysler muy pronto. In combo with starting with an EV only Charger, what else can you discern?
has no muscle car vibes at all
I drove two rentals... What's a piece of crap! ABSOLUTELY stay away
I thought Italian inspired cars were supposed to be attractive and bold? This design screams BORING and the inside look cheap and plasticky. If the price point was mid 30s, given it is a plug-in hybrid, and decent grunt, this would be a bit more of an acceptable compromise. But at $52K? Hard pass.
Get a Lexus Nx or even a RX at the price lol or Acura RDX
This is one of the slowest car sold in the US….i seldom see this car in the road and it’s overpriced!…
Dodge has lost its mind with pricing. When you can get a top trim RAV4 Hybrid for less, Dodge is reaching for a market that is very niche
Pure Garbage and Overpriced
Are you in your senses pal?
@@gerry9306this is a pile of Italian made trash😂
Are you in your senses too? @@imdone1967

Vomit, it's hard to type this, I keep throwing up....eh, Dodge and 2.0L simply don't belong in the same sentence....eh, vomit...............🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Italian bones mated to a Stellantis product, what could go wrong?
