    Lived in Bradenton until July. Reminded me a *lot* of the small city in Kentucky I went to college in (Bowling Green), just with beaches and better weather. Definitely has issues that go with that, but I liked it and still miss it. The point about schools is definitely relevant, but if your income doesn't really economically sustain living in Sarasota, I think Bradenton is a perfectly fine place to live.

    I live in Bradenton.. if your moving here prepare to over pay for a house..and if your renting prepare to grab your ankles..1600.00 and up.. unless you want to live in a shadier area.. there are no jobs in Bradenton unless you want to work in a reatraunt.. unless your in the medical field.. I'm currently in the process of moving down to Charlotte County just because the realtors haven't jacked up the housing market there as bad.. if you have money and can afford it you can live nw or out east..

    • @annabellebeckwith9283
      @annabellebeckwith9283 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      #1600 for a one-br apt or for a house? If it's for a one-br or a studio apt that is, indeed, high. If it's for a 2-br or a house it's not bad. Here in Bucks County, southeast PA. (phila suburbs) a one bedroom one bath is about, on average, 1300, rarely lower unless it's in a really bad area. And our weather is a far cry from Florida's so I'm thinking we are overpaying, too.

    • @johnmilner6505
      @johnmilner6505 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@annabellebeckwith9283 go on zillow.. it will show prices.. currently I'm paying 1850 for a 4 bedroom that 4 years ago was 1100.00.. people moving to Florida are gonna have a rude awakening when they move here and there is no job that pays to be able to pay such high rent..and the realtors keep jacking up the prices of these homes.. with biden in office I see doom for fla housing market..worse than 08.. there's just no money to be made here.. cheapest way to live in fla is on a boat. That's my plan currently..fk a mortgage payment/rent..

    I live and work in bradenton. Bradenton is over crowded. They keep building crappy over priced apartments, but don't fix our roads to accommodate the number of people here. The hospitals are older than the one in Sarasota.. yet, we always have way more people in manatees ER than Sarasota or lakewood ranch. There can be 70 people waiting to be seen at manatee and 3 people total in lakewood ranches ER. We have a lot of alcoholics, and over doses as well as a lot of homeless begging for money. This video shows you a few fun things to do in bradenton but doesn't really show you what its really like here. Both bradenton and Sarasota are located near beaches. To get to palmetto or Tampa from bradenton we have to go over bridegs.. which get backed up.. again they don't fix the road system here. We have a lot of older buildings. Sarasota has newer buildings. We no longer have a mall.. well a mall that anyone would even consider a mall. Sarasota has a beautiful huge new mall if you like shopping. They even sell tesla in their mall. You can make an appointment to test drive one also.. if your into that.

      Both cities are very diverse. I would say ultra diverse. But Sarasota is more where the rich retires tend to live. Bradenton is more where the average income retires come to live. Both have nice beaches and both have easy access. Both are safe but both have huge drug problems. People who make these videos never show the other sides of these towns, which make up a good 40 to 50%. Everything is "Hey...look how nice this beach is, these huge boats are, and these huge houses are." If you don't have millions then you won't be living in any of that or near that. You will be living closer to the other 40 to 50% of Sarasota or Bradenton. Take into account that the Bradenton/Sarasota area is the Heroin overdose capital of Florida. You can avoid all of that...and still raise a family at both places and remain very safe. But it is still nice to know the good and bad and see the whole picture and not just someone trying to sell you on a million dollar lifestyle, which most can not afford. I hope that helps Bree.
