Hi. Thanks for posting. My Vegas E02 error was fixed by an impeller change. The impeller looked ok and the spindle was not broken, but the lower rubber cup was elongated. The leaks in the flow and return pipes, where they fit to the spa, were due to perished rubber washers. However be careful to get a 39mm inside diameter O ring for the magnetic reed switch housing. When I removed mine to check for debris and check it was working correctly, when refitted, it leaked due to age compression of the original o ring. I got mine from a car parts shop with a box of assorted o rings. It was a bit fat but works well with a bit of vaseline on it on on re-assembly. Good Luck. You can do it.
Thanks for the Video Dave! I have a HydroJet pump, slightly different to pull apart, but it fixed my E02 error! Wouldn't have given it a go without watching this as I am a DIY disaster. I ordered the new impeller from the link in the comments. The impeller wasn't broken, but was clearly worn in places and had discoloured due to the heat. Swapped it out and all good! Thanks!
Worked perfectly, thanks Dave! Took me about 45 minutes start to finish, and 10 of that was hunting for the vaseline :D I was a bit worried this wasn't the problem as the plastic shaft on my impeller was fine when I got it out but the magnet bit around it was cracked and corroded. Replacing with a new 12 quid impeller fixed it right up and it's running smooth and quiet now. Thanks!
Thank you for this post. My egg pump developed a rattling sound which at 1st stopped when I gave it a whack on the side. It then became premenant and quite loud. Hi my hot tub blows the breaker on its plug after 5 sec of being plugged in, its never done this b4, can u help me figure out what might b the problem? Ty
Its more than likely a component like the heater or Pump , try to disconnect the pump, try the breaker if it still trips, try the heater ... and so on, eventually you will find the issue...
Thank you for this. It was really helpful. My pump is making one hell of a noise! I've tried doing the reverse flow routine with a hose pipe. It momentarily reduced the noise (about 5 mins worth), then started again! Could this be the impeller? I would be very grateful for your thoughts.
Guys. I have had recent issues with the E02 code on Saluspa. Even though I replaced with a new cartridge, E02 still appeared. Then this: ONE ONLY NEEDS TO PUSH THE LOCK BUTTON TO RESET EVERYTHING. Don't need to repair anything. Company won't tell you this. They just want to sell you another spa.

Hi Sophie, the way it works is when you turn the unit on, immediately the pump should start, if the pump doesn't start it could be that 1. There's no power going to the pump , this could be the Transformer or no output from the PCB, 2. If there's power going to the pump (12V AC) then the pumps defective. The unit has a flow sensor its like a little paddle sat in the water pipe, when water flows it makes the paddle go from a down like position into a horizontal position, when that paddle is in the horizontal position it makes a switch that more or less tells the PCB there's water flow, the PCB then powers up the heater and normal operation you can also then turn on the air to produce bubbles. Advise you have a qualified electrical person to check this, its not that difficult. I hope this helps.........
Hi Phil, It will be the impeller starting to fail, the impeller rubber support ends start to wear and then the impeller starts to wobble on its axis and cause the noise.
Hi Dave, thanks for your video. I had an issue with the impeller and was able to replace using your help. This doesn't completely solve my problem though. Now it looks like I have no power getting to the pump - I have verified the pump works with an external power supply. Is it safe to simply replace the pump power supply/transformer, or is there possibly a fuse somewhere that has blown that might be causing this. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
@@davelewis560 Hi Dave, thanks for that option - I'm in New Zealand :-) I have done some more checking and definitely power getting to the D terminals where the pump power supply is connected so am pretty sure its the power supply thats stuffed. Hi, you need to have an electrician to check if there is power going to your pump directly upon reset, you should have 12V ac at the transformer output for around 3 seconds, if you do have power on the transformer and the pump does not run or do anything then the pump is defective, if you dont have 12V then the pump maybe good, could be the transformer, or mains fuse blown, or no output from the controller, there's so many things it could be, dont try if your not qualified, the impeller change on the vid is only carried out when the unit is off and unplugged.

No output from the 12V dc Transformer, loose cable connection, basically is there any noise at all from when you reset? Call me on 07837 215734 and ill talk you through some steps, but you will need to get a qualified sparks in as its quite high voltage when testing....
Hi Dave got a lazy Spa Cancun tried the E02 basics but the motor for the pump isn’t kicking in at all. Which impeller do I need for the cancun or are they all the same?

Hi my hot tub blows the breaker on its plug after 5 sec of being plugged in, its never done this b4, can u help me figure out what might b the problem? Ty
Its more than likely a component like the heater or Pump , try to disconnect the pump, try the breaker if it still trips, try the heater ... and so on, eventually you will find the issue...
Thanks
Thank you for this. It was really helpful. My pump is making one hell of a noise! I've tried doing the reverse flow routine with a hose pipe. It momentarily reduced the noise (about 5 mins worth), then started again! Could this be the impeller? I would be very grateful for your thoughts.
Its the impeller Jan
Guys. I have had recent issues with the E02 code on Saluspa.
Even though I replaced with a new cartridge, E02 still appeared.
Then this:
ONE ONLY NEEDS TO PUSH THE LOCK BUTTON TO RESET EVERYTHING.
Don't need to repair anything.
Company won't tell you this.
They just want to sell you another spa.
Great video. Do you have the link where we can buy these spare parts, please? Do you use a stainless steel shaft?
Hi RV, Link here..... and yes stainless steel shaft recommended...… www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lay-Z-Spa-Water-Pump-Impeller-New-Fix-E02-Noisy-Pump-Issues-A-2-FREEBIE/254595715232?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

If the shaft has snapped In the pump, will the bubbles still work? I’m loosing will to live with our spa. It’s eo2 error and I’ve tried everything 😩
Hi Dave ...do you do servicing for the egg...im not brave enough to attempt to do this? cheers
Hi Dawn, where abouts are you in the UK?
Mines not showing an error message but the unit is really loud. Any suggestions??
Hi Phil, It will be the impeller starting to fail, the impeller rubber support ends start to wear and then the impeller starts to wobble on its axis and cause the noise.
The master at work!
Hi
Any news on your kits.
Thanks kev
Very good, are you available for a few in the Portsmouth area ?
Off Course

Just got to find a replacement now...if you have any links feel free to let me know
I cannot find where to get the impeller from I've looked and everyone I look at is different looking for has different numbers

@@davelewis560 hi there question my lazy spa model number 14133 and drain the other day filled it turned it on ran half day got that error code check all filter and did every suggested rest the pump turned on ran got about 88 degrees and error code aging just kinda wonder your thoughts it's water flow but can't find where thanks
My pump won’t kick in I get EO2 fault I’ve checked all the basic stuff , pump did sound a bit noisy before it stopped working
Hi great video dave!! Are all E02 errors for the same cause? I've only had mine a few weeks and its came on. The air comes out fine but its when I turn the heater on it comes on I haven't got any water in mind would that be why? It also smells of burning plastic
Thanks in advance
omg, it needs water mate!!
