I would save it. It has many uses. 1 The case can be made into a 'sleeper'. 2 A old pc collector may want it. 3 It could run a modern 32 bit linux distro and get online. No need to scrap it if it still works.
I am not a computer nerd . Just yesterday I finished dusting old-old computer from 1998 (99) I switched it on and , 26 years "oldie" works perfectly . Windows 98 no problem , floppy no problem , CD-ROM no problem !!! It was in storage for around 20 or more years . Oldie is a life .
They’re only worth salvaging for the lost media contained in the internet cache from such a bygone era. Besides that, I would gut the case and turn it into a powerful 98SE gamer with a whole suite of R.Leow patches for more modern conveniences now that they’ve become shareware after his passing
Looks like a nice little project machine. If you're looking for a good home for this, I'd be happy to take it off your hands... and I wouldn't even charge you for it. 😉 I was interested in these back in the day, but after having a couple of Athlon XP machines, I went to Intel and missed the Athlon 64 series. Still have my old P4 system, but the P4 wasn't a great design and didn't live up to expectations. Still you live and learn. 😂
I found one of these cases in the trash, and used it for several years. It was good sturdy case with room to move inside it. It only got replaced because I found an almost complete HAF-922 case in the trash.
I've got a case with the same design of front panel. Always felt it was rather flimsy compared to some of my other cases (the front USB port is broken, as it looks to be on yours) and mine also has that annoying design of expansion slot where there's a single piece of metal holding all the cards in, so you can't take them out singly. Still like the way it looks, though; it's currently home to an Intel Q67 motherboard.
I also missed this time period as I got into consoles. Now I'm back in building PCs they don't hold any nostalgia so I avoid buying them but I'm sure one day I'll be tempted, thanks for the video
I put together an AMD Thunderbird PC for my youngest son 25 years ago, I think. It was faster than the dual PIII Xeon I had LOL. Aside from that, I don't remember having any AMD PCs of my own. Maybe an AMD 486 clone way back. I've always been an Intel guy. 386, 486, Pentium, P3, dual Pentium Pro, and the PIII dual Xeon. I've been using Core i5 processors since 2011. That particular PC is most unattractive 😀 but it might serve someone as an XP unit.
Nothing you would care to keep on this machine as is. You could get a low grade computer between new and this for very little that would be more reliable and who would have ddr2 just on hand not many. E-waste
i have the same EXACT CASE.... i upgrade from P4-p478 ~ C2Q-lga775 ~ Xeon E3-1230 -lga1155 ~ *Xeon E5-2680v3 -lga2011 *have a hard time cooling this sucker using normal 100mm tower cooler.... i currently used a 120mm AIO cooler, but i have to leave the side panel open.... (i still considering if i should use a DREMEL and open a hole for the 120mm AIO fan....)
they don't make case like these.... cheap and sturdy..... (i bought it new and is less than MYR 150 (about USD 35-ish) back in y2005/2010--back in my college era)
bloody hell i have one of those case it was free from the dumpster i put in a AMD of some sort i dont remember then an athlon II X2 with a cooler master hyper 612 the stupid cooler was biger so the side panel has to go hahahahah
I've got a few of this era amd motherboards/cpus. How dare you tempt me by offering to give yours away 😂. I too was drawn away from amd by the Q6600 and only went back with the Ryzen release

I might be going blind, but I can only see your Instagram, so sent message via that. Never used Instagram before! 😂

The power supply is a typical Chinese firecracker. I would throw it out straight away 😁
Thank you for not editing the diagnostics with the power supply.
It's something I do for every PC these days after having them go pop!
3200+ is a bit old would be handy to have a big music library on.
