Watching you put that heatsink on backwards multiple times hurt. The aluminum block is cut specifically for the shape of the socket, where the cut portion is placed over the socket 462 label. The nforce chipset on this motherboard is one of the best for that socket. With the AGP 8X 3.0 slot, it's great for more modern AGP cards. Not to mention it has it's own form of Dual Channel memory. It will also boot for a PCI Sata Raid card for better Read/Write speeds, making the whole system feel snappier. Also it has mounting holes for aftermarket heatsinks like Zalman/Cooler master. It's really a wonderful board.
This is very random, but I worked in a computer store when this era systems were being made, and that stock cooler was always my favorite for Socket A, it's small, but works remarkebly well, and the fan was very quiet despite being a smaller 60mm, I remember they had that very destinct "crack/bend" on each blade. This is a great find, a really nice retro system!
Nice find, that is a pretty decent board with Nvidia nForce2 Ultra 400. Best performing chipset for socket 462. I think 1 ram module needs to go in the blue slot for dual channel ram.
Interesting mb with the dual lan ports. I've got a slightly newer version of this that has a WiFi board as well. But it plugs into a pci slot. Never seen one with a plug in board like that

According to Trusted Reviews, it cost £85 in 2004, which seems pretty reasonable considering the spec. Thanks for joining by the way 😁
its interesting i wonder if these psu,s where rather cheap since a lot systems seem to have them
This is actually an amd pc, I think. Since it has an Nvidia Chip on the southbridge, it's most likely an nForce chip.
Yeah its Nvidia nForce2 Ultra 400
I Wonder Can Put Noctua Fan In CPU Heatsink?
