Excellent review! It was actually better than many mainstream TH-cam reviewers. One thing you could have mentioned is that the Ridgeline can carry a 4x8 sheet of building material.
I’m a TH-cam car reviewholic. And yours was excellent! I’ve been wrestling between a Rivian and a Ridgeline. 2 different worlds. Still, your review showed the Ridgeline has more features and fewer potential issues. I’m waiting for the ‘25, then I will decide. You must have been an engineer in your past life.
Thank you for a great review of your own vehicle. Much appreciated. I own a 2021 RTL-E Ridgeline and my biggest issue with the new Ridgelines is the inability to get a light colored interior. My White with Tan Leather IMO is soo much better looking inside. The new gauges and must needed updated infotainment are great!! I live with mine and its acceptable. I just think the Trailsport trim is a gimmick. I would have preferred if they kept the RTL-E with the color options and the updated tech. The Trailsport does not add any valuable off road capabilities and if I think you lose the in Bed Speakers too which I actually Love. Again Just a Gimmick that people unfortunately fall for. Best of luck with your Truck.
The Ridgeline actually has a better payload than the Tacoma. It does fall short on towing a bit. I really don't do much towing at all. I would like to see thicker sway bars and maybe they box in the frame more for better truck utility to separate it a little better from the Pilot. An actual 4Lo option on the Trail Sport , raise the ride height by an inch or two, full metal skids. It's got some plastic ones under it now. Anything hard core, people are going to go with a TRD, Gladiator or a Pro4X.
Thx for connecting in. I agree, I think if used for the vehicle's intended purpose most folks will be very happy with the Ridgeline and like you say those that are interested in heavy towin/4-wheeling will choose other. Cheers
I just bought the same truck as you and I love it. I have a full size Ram for my farm work but for a daily commuter I didn't want a large truck. This ridgeline is perfect for me. Should I need to haul a little something I can and I love the trunk every truck should have one. I just hope it is as dependable as honda's use to be! Seems to mixed feelings on youtube on dependability anymore. I did notice I already have a recall on my rearview camera.
Standard on all Ridgelines, the i-VTM4™ system enhances controllability and traction management in all conditions, automatically sending up to 70% of the engine's torque to the rear wheels and continuously apportioning 100% of that torque between the rear wheels based on driving conditions at each wheel.
We are looking at these but we will be using it as q daily driver on paved roads. Should we go with the RT-L trim instead? (the "sport' trim is too basic and feature-less for us) However, the "trailsport" has all the features we like but were worried about possible rough off-road ride and tire noise.
Hi there, I'm very happy with my TS but you're quite right you might find the slightly noisier tires of the TS would bother you. Honestly, I don't even notice it now. Test drive both and decide would be my advice. See if you notice a difference in the ride between RT-L vs TS and compare the tire noise. Honda vehicles in general have always typically had a firm ride so the ride on the TS is what I would expect but if you coming from some other make you might find overal it's too firm a ride. Which ever trim you choose, you won't be disappointed with this vehicle. It's an absolute joy to drive. Hope that helps. Paul
Honda usually does redesigns every 3 to 4 years. The 2024 is a minor refresh from version 2 but the ridgeline is becoming more popular so my guess would be 2027 or 28.

I just got the ridgeline black edition. Love it.

Hey thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Many thanks for the positive comment. Cheers!

Btw it’s not a cvt in the ridgeline.

Great video, the Ridgeline TrailSport does not have a 1” lift, the Pilot TrailSport does.
I bought my 2021 used with 32k mileages. It still similar to the 2024 model. I love it
Great review.
Best review I’ve seen on the new ridgeline.
All this truck is missing is coming out the factory with a 3 inch lift option. I wont make it out the ranch on dirt roads in the rainy days
Agreed and some better looking wheels !!!
It sends 70 of the power to the wheel that’s slipping? Or did you mean to say to the wheel that is not slipping?

When will the Ridgeline have a new redesign?
