- I bought this truck 11 months ago and this is my personal review! I talk about the add-ons and why I love the truck! This is the 2023 black edition Honda Ridgeline

I have the 2024 Trailsport, love it, They are the most American made truck, made in Lincoln Alabama,30 miles north of Birmingham Alabama
Yet another reason to buy one as well. Supporting our economy!
Bruh your truck is stunningly, beautiful and not just beautiful👍🏾
Thank you so much 👍
Just bought a 2021 Ridgeline RTL with 32k miles on it. Just put like 1200 miles on it, only use it for outdoor and still have my other small car for work.
Very nice! Hope you like the vehicle!
I love this truck. I am shopping for a used 23-24 under 25 K miles for a great price. These trucks hold their value so much that even the used models are still pricey. Therefore, I may have to bite the bullet and buy a new one to get better financing options. It makes more sense to finance a new (sport base model) for around $40k @ 2.9% ......than a used $36k at 4.9% (used interest rates are always higher)...A lot of folks don't always do that math and they really should.
Yes take advantage of the lower rates for new trucks
Same here.. I got such a low interest rate...
@@NeptuneKnives curious which model did you get?
Black edition
I'm sitting in my 2023 Honda Ridgeline while looking at your video. I had rotor problems too. I let the dealership handle it. But if it's bad from the factory, I may be able to get that money back.. I think I'll do the bug guard and good call on the window guards. Please post which ones you get. My only gripe with my truck is, I paid the up charge for the Black edition and there's only one black edition badge on the truck. So I put on a few of my own, tastefully of course. When you look at my truck you'll think, I didn't know Black editions came with those badges? 😂😂😂
Cool video, can’t wait to see what you do next.
I figured if they change my rotors problem would come back again. So I am buying different ones and installing Them next year. Will keep you posted. I hope the truck works out great for you! And yeah a BE badge in the back would be cool too.
For your windows, I recommend the WeatherTech ones. Yes, they're pricey but much better quality, no glue, and no double sided tape. They fit right into the window channel so they can easily be removed anytime you want. I take mine out in the winter so the snow and ice don't get packed in there.
Not sure about your driving style, but I finally got my first brake job on my 2017 after 62K miles.
Thanks for the tip! I will check those out! I think my rotors are warped. So will need replacements soon
Looks very mean in all black. Good for you sir 👍
Thanks! It’s almost too black! I thought about maybe adding some red accents or something. Lol
great review nice truck!
Glad you liked it!!
Very Sharp !!
@@davidderfus3462 Thank you!
very nice truck
Thanks 👍
Do a video transmission oil change pls 🔥🔥🔥
I did please check my older videos! Easy DIY
Jsport has a 1.5" lift puck that a lot of people seem to love running on these, haven't heard anything bad about them yet
That’s worth considering for sure!
How has your fuel economy been with all the highway driving?
@@AnonymousHippo5 pretty reasonable actually! I average 21-24 mpg on the freeway. If I go 60mph I get more mpg. But often I go 70 mph and up on the interstate.
I wanted a comfortable truck to do my long commutes, so this has been great so far!
Can you please tell me where you got the bumper guard? I have been wanting one for my Ridgeline.
@@rfwright5713 I got mine off Amazon. I’ll have to see if I can find a link otherwise go search Amazon for bull bar
İ kinda wish that truck was globalized. The Honda lineup in where i live (i live in Turkey btw), is kinda boring.
City (Kinda lame car if you ask me)
Civic (İt used to be built in Turkey until 2021)
Accord (They didn't even get to sell the 2024 model)
Jazz (İt used to be Fit until 2020)
HR-V (The European HR-V)
ZR-V (The American HR-V)
CR-V (The biggest SUV that Honda could only sell)
Yeah I think you would like it there! I Hear good things about Turkey!
@@DIYBIGMAN Thanks dude. İ also hear great stuff about USA and Canada
Do you have any rust issues ?
Not yet, but I live in the northwest we do not use salt for roads generally
How is it in the snow?
It’s been pretty good. It’s solid ultimately depends on the snow tires. I usually run studded tires on the majority of my vehicles.
@@DIYBIGMAN Thank you. I currently have a 2012 Honda CRV, with AWD.
It seems good in the snow; I'm using all-weather (all-seasons, but with the severe snow service, or Alpine symbol, branded similar to winter) tires.
I don't tow, I don't off-road, I can't anyway with a CRV. I'm looking to upsize, with more cargo (for my gear, when traveling) room, passenger room, and a V6. For Honda it it's either this Ridgeline, or Passport. From Toyota, either 4runner or Tacoma. I don't need a third row seat (like the Pilot, or Highlander) but I do need either AWD, or 4x4; for inclement weather; since I work maintenance for a hospital, I can't stay home, or work from home.
I do like the bed trunk, and rear seats, that lift up, for added cargo space.
all of them are excellent choices! The upside to the ridgeline is the size and utility and ride quality. Downside is timing belt cost after 100k miles. They’ll all do well in snow. I’m also a big fan of the 4Runner it’s super reliable and easy to work on. I hear the new Tacoma‘s ride better. It all depends on your needs. I use mine as a Freeway commuter plus I love the ability to haul things and wish I had a canopy. Plus, I carry all my tools in the back of the built-in storage which I love. You have all the tough choices lol it’s hard to go wrong with either i lean slightly more towards Toyota. But I do love my Honda Ridgeline for my use. The Tacoma is just a little bit too small for me and you would need some kind of trunk bed storage for tools. I would recommend you test drive each model and make that choice.
@@DIYBIGMAN thank you.
Get an A.R.E. tonneau cover. Not cheap but NO leaks and very secure.
Will check them out!
Nissan needs to produce a full size truck.
They do the Titan!
I mean they should continue to produce full size trucks. They will be ending production this year.
@@asdf4898 unfortunately there Nissan Titan sales were not good. The early models had some problems with drivetrain and axles exploding I used to have one.
What dash cam do you have?
I am using the vantrue n2. There are other better versions out now days. But vantrue seems to be a decent brand.
@@DIYBIGMANthank you!
Coming from a 2021 Ridgeline lemme do you a solid. Buy a F-150 lightning it will blow your mind.
Yes I hear really good things about that one. That’s a good truck!
F-150 lightning? You mean the EV?
If that’s the case why are they not selling. Why buy one when you can’t tow anything or take the family on a trip more than a couple hundred miles away. Any truck guy would never want a ford lightning. I guess it’s good for a city guy who goes to lowes 3 times a year
Recommending an EV that’s 85k over a 40k ridgeline with an ICE motor 😅
Really😂
So you didn't buy it new, then it sounds like !
I bought it new. But put on a lot of miles so far since then!
