    I have the 2024 trailsport.
    Absolutely the best vehicle.

Purchased a 24 B/E in Feb after 4k miles I love it more every time I drive it. Downsized from a 2010 F150 with 175k miles, after owning 3 full size pickups I can testify that this is the best P/U I have ever owned. It can tow my 3k trailer with no problem or make a Home Depot run and gets an easy 24+ MPG around town with the ECO engaged. Wish I had purchased this years ago

When you engage ECO you are running on 3 cylinders 😮. Shortens engine life.

@WhiteMouse77 hope is a great habit because I understand what I can and cannot control. What I cannot control is what Honda does with Ridgeline trucks and I tell dealerships and reviewers knowing Honda watching and I hope they decide to give us more....whoever told you hope is bad is misinforming you and accept. We do what we can and hope for acceptance.

@WhiteMouse77 can you control what nature did in past, present or future???? Can you control everything a manufacturer does???? Can you control everything that happens in your day each day????? Even Satan the devil cannot control most things or all humans would be dead, the earth destroyed or we are all slaves to him. And only a fool says in their heart there is no God.

In all fairness, it does come with a skid plate to protect the oil pan. Not enough to justify the trim pricing though.

The biggest criticism of the TrailSport is the lack of ground clearance for off-roading. I agree that's a big oversight that Honda could have remedied with a lift kit.

Such a great true utility truck and more than enough for 80% of people shopping for a mid size. The trunk storage is game changing, and it’s bigger in the can than most. I’ll be interested to see how the 2025 will be as they’re going 4 cylinder turbo like almost everyone else

The height of the tailgate and pickup bed is perfect. If we raised the truck we would lose the loading height.. It's actually nice customer feature. If you want taller? Go full size pick up they are very very tall. Mid size trucks are not supposed to be giants.

Completely agree with all the talking points of this review. I was contemplating waiting for the 2024 trailsport model because I had confirmation it was released before it hit the sales floor, but wasn't in a good timing position to wait, so I got the final model year of the 2023 RTL-E and have zero regrets. Wish I had the newer stereo system, but the RTL-E has the premium audio system that the trailsport doesn't. Honda kind of missed the mark with the trailsport and I'm adding skid plates and a lift to my 2023, which will realistically make it even more capable than the trailsport. I imagine they'll do better in coming years but the 2024 model year was a total miss in my opinion

Honda! Why did you not give your Trailsport trims a 3 inch factory lift. Like Subaru does with their Wilderness models. What a missed opportunity. Yes, I know these are not for serious off roading, but more ground clearance is useful vs this minivan height! 😡

@@WhiteMouse77 I live in the mtns of western NC, we have some very steep 1 lane roads & driveways to get to a lot of houses. Many are gravel/dirt, I think that’s why I see so many Subarus here, ground clearance & good awd they don’t have to think about.

ACC doesnt work below 25MPH so it is not stop and go.. Blind spot monitoring doesnt work below 20MPH. two front parking sensors are only in the front corners.. it will not detect a parking pole or smaller car . the front passengers seat does not have height adjustment. it does not offer hill descent control.. if you put a tonneau cover on the truck bed then the depth is just over 16 inches deep. kinda limits what you can put in there ..

Ridgeline is not "show off" and "status" product. It's product class of genuinly designed "family kitchen" - purposed to dirty daily life...easy to handle and keeping it clean...
Manufacturer changes colors upon to most prefered ones and in case of Ridgeline people want practical interiors which don't get quickly looking dirty...

Very well thought out and as shown continuously improving genuine UTE since in production but with price tag attacking 50k the resonating vibrations occuring on washed off road is unappropriate flaw for quality standards of Honda brand. How it could have get through Honda's development and testing torture? Cutting corners? Oh come on Honda! If they do so why not admitting it openly with offering option of paying extra for double-isoloated cabin?
Next to absence of 360 camera the electronic automatic parking brake remains missing as well, isn't it? Weird in 2024....losing rating stars for endangering drivers ankle with brake pedal....
But in spite of that all the Ridgeline is still my fav SUV UTE anyway. (or S-UTE-V?...better not...they might take it to UTE-EV... miracle help us.... :-)
I wonder when completely new Ridgeline is gonna be introduced and what technological direction Honda takes it.... I'm affraid this durable petrol version constructed for all-around use is Ridgeline's last time of "JDM swiss knife under 50k" which would be in current market situation pretty controversial aspect because "value per money" is what makes Ridgeline sales.....
Classic non-plag hybrid like Lexus does would be fitting its purpose (and ideally bi-fuel)

Honda has gone crazy on pricing on R/L. Why the emphasis on offroad when 95% never leave the pavement and all the added "features" do nothing for normal driving except run up the prices? The tires are totally detrimental to normal highway driving. Making it look more "trucky" has done nothing but raise the price from $30s to mid to high $40s......terrible. Push button gear selector is really stupid on any vehicle, especially a truck. Please give a comparison of base model, which is a much better value.
