      Very welcome, brotha! Welcome to the 2019 330i club! I love this car. I bought mine with 36k miles on it in March 2022. I've already got 93k on it - no problems at all! I wanna run it to 500k and then buy a 35k mile engine and start all over again. Put the 500k engine in the garage since I know it will be ok. Do your oil changes often, and they're not hard to do. Very easy. Easiest of almost any car I've done, I think! And inexpensive if you buy the filters in bulk. I bought 6 filters for $24 on eBay. I buy 12qts of synthetic oil for $50 at Walmart. Been doing it since the day I bought it, right in the driveway.
      You're gonna LOVE this car!

    • @MicDropBBQ
      @MicDropBBQ  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Jcauto-t4r That's if you use synthetic. 10k is fine. Synthetic can run up to 15k on some cars. I usually run 8k to 10k in all my cars. My 2011 Wrangler (bought at 112k miles) now has 259k miles, and it's always been a 10k oil change...and it's supercharged to 370hp with a lotta torque. Manual transmission so that engine pushes those RPMs.
      7k is safe, but these BMW engines can go 10k with no problem.

    How do you reset engine lights ? This was a great video

    • @MicDropBBQ
      @MicDropBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว

      For resetting an engine light, you have to get a code reader/resetter. It will fit in the OBD II port under the dash on the driver's side. The reader will tell you what the code is that's causing the light to come on. Could be something simple as a sensor not being plugged in for the air.
      Once you fix that issue, you can clear the code and drive the car to see if the code comes back on.
      Some people do it the old school way and unhook the battery for a few mins. Sometimes, that works. A code reader (bluetooth capable) can cost you like $15 on eBay or Amazon. They run thru the Torque Lite app, usually. You can download that from the Playstore.
      Appreciate you coming thru to watch the video I wanted to kinda help with the BMW crowd, so I drop videos when I'm working on my cars!

      @@MicDropBBQ thank you so much for replying with the info I got it checked out it said evap leak it’s under warranty but it’s gonna take some time to get an approval but I still went the engine light off it’s bothering me. I’m gonna get the code reader off Amazon bc when owning bmw it’s good to have ! Thanks so much

    • @MicDropBBQ
      @MicDropBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@katbodyxo3 Evap leaks are usually a hose, a gas cap, or the actual evap solenoid getting stuck and sending a code. Easy fix and nothing major. You might smell a little gas from time to time, but that's about it. Summers usually pressurize our fuel tanks and create all kinds of leaks in the evap system.
      Even if you turn the light off, it's gonna come back on if it's actually a leak. If it just happened on a hot day and sent the ECU a signal by accident, it won't come back on. It happens. I've cleared codes that never came back! LOL!
      You're very welcome! I'm kinda active on TH-cam a lot, so you'll always get an answer back. I sometimes don't get notifications and I'll see something like a day or two later...even weeks. LOL! TH-cam be messing with me!! hahahaa!
