Hi everyone hope you all enjoyed. Just a couple of things I want to point out a couple of things before I get comments about them 1. The 1700-2000 thing was accounting for damage with charge. The actual estimate is ~950-1100. Which is still very impressive! 2. Why not uses lineage passives? While powerful, I feel they are very limiting to party customization. Running a team of all Merchants Early game is a Godsend but I do feel like, in a game that promotes experimentation with different archetypes, sticking to 1 goes against that. And yes I am aware there is an accessory that makes lineage passives count for one character without deploying them but that eats up a valuable skill slot. 3. Most skills have garbage crit rate- Yes it is true, most skills in the game have a 5 or 8 percent chance to crit, making it so Critical Trade only increases it to 10 or 16%. However, I like critting .
I know this wasn't your intention when you made this video, but this video and the Junah one ended up spoiling me on the fact that they become party members when i happened to glance in my recommendations, the second i saw the thumbnail, it was burned into my memory. in the grand scheme of things they aren't the biggest spoilers, but they did ruin what would've been a nice surprises. I enjoy watching your videos (The Agrat one is something I never thought about when i did my playthrough) but I hope you hide the spoilers better in future videos you make.
I knew you’d come around once you got to meet our favorite little brother, Basilio. I still stand by my statement of seeing value in every party member, especially with skill inheritance, but oh my god did Basilio immediately leave an impact on my first playthrough being as good as he is at base. Royal Destroyer is just disgusting, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
@ Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a charged up Wanton Destruction hitting for nearly seven thousand damage. I suppose Hassou Tobi comes close, but it was so addicting to spam that repeatedly.
Royal Berserker is when Basilio gets even more insane, being able to use the strike weakness skill as a regular skill. And he gets some gear pieces that boost strike damage too. It takes some work to get him up to speed since he joins so late but he's ridiculously strong.
My end game party was Royal Thief with 99 AG & mirror of Atziluth, Royal Zerker with 99 ST, MC on Destroyer or Prince with 99 ST & Royal Knight as heal, buffer & debuffer. Last 3 having Utilitarian Manual 1. Leave it for Heismay to eat all enemy turns with an ancient trick called "Dodge" 2. Buff both MC & Basilio to high heavens by Hulkenberg 3. Absolutely go to town with Royal Zerker, Destroyer/Prince synthesis skills. 4. ?? 5. GGs
Basilio the Busted ❤️🔥 While Strohl has damage that absolutely can rival Basilio, in their Royal Classes. Strohl relies on Crits, which with the right gear and passives, and the Rebellion buff is possible to make him broken too. (Especially when he learns Brave Blade and Hassou Tobi) Basilio though just has Wanton Strike by defualt (no need for Synthesis) meaning he can just beat enemies down with a weakness for a whole fight, as long as they dont Null/repel strike lol
I love all of the Royal Archetypes, but Royal Berserker gameplay wise is undoubtedly my go to pick for the strongest Archetype in the game next to Prince.
I don't know if it's just my excessive playtime in SMT4 but every time I look at Heismay's default portrait my brain goes "He's wearing the SMT4 Samurai Uniform" and it hasn't stopped saying that
Chadsilo, the real king of Metaphor Refantzio, the best character...and the fact he's a Berserker makes it better, he's basically Shinjiro on crack, thanks for the guide man
i breezed through the endgame on my first playthrough despite being super under leveled since I gave him the accessory that reduces synthesis cost and built the rest of my party only to buff him and debuff the enemies. the moment I saw his archetype and skills I already knew he was gonna be super broken
yeah Basilio was my GOAT in my playthrough. I had him as the martial artist because since the martial artist uses HP to attack i wasn't afraid to spam my synthesis, which is basically like wanton destruction, a hard hitting strike attack that applies a strike weakness. Which made me spam the synthesis more since from then on it would keep dealing weakness damage. I also gave him strike boost, as well as some gloves that increase strike damage, short range boost, etc. He was by far my strongest character lol.
While you mention royal beserker, you want to build him for crit. His passive makes it if a Phys attack crits, it doesn't cost a turn. With the Tycoon and some cash, you can stack crits since Tycoon's abilities are Phys Almighty with a high crit rate. Stack what you can alongside luck if you don't mind him still retaining his weaknesses. There's a video where Basilio solos the post-game superboss with an infinite turn with this setup. While a little hyperspecific, being able to take free turns with free untesistable damage on the highest STR party member can help a lot for a small bit of coin.
For me basilio, strohl, hulkenberg, and heismay are the goats, basilio and strohl do big boi damage with the warrior and berserker hulkenberg for a good support tank and heismay being a dodge tank, also mastering all archetypes with basilio will give him the best axe that has strike boost, can't wait to see if you do the dragons and the ng plus super boss
I love all of the characters in the game! Bar none are one of my favorite video game cast of characters in a long time. Personal list: 1. Heismay 2. Basilio 3. Eupha 4. Strohl 5. Junah 6. Hulkenburg 7. Gallica and Will.
basilio is honestly ridiculous. resistance ignoring and weakness implant on extreme single target skills, a 2 stage atk and def debuff, his best weapon gives strike boost, so with gloves strike boost, the 30% from his royal archetype and inherited archetype 20% strike boost you hit insane numbers. also has the highest str of all party members. Add to that aoe resistance ignoring synergy and buff strip almighty synergy to make him even more busted. Sure, strohl can hit similar numbers or even higher, but basilio is just so much more versatile with what he can do. I'm just 1 turn nuking everything on regicide with junah and heismay as my buffers and basilio + protagonist as double dps.
Iirc the skill Strike Boost and the one you get from the weapon dont stack, but you can inherit something else like Reverse Seeker in that slot to deal even more damage
i LOVE basilio as a character i DID NOT use him whatsoever. because to me in the first playthrough he suffers from the same issue joon-gi han does in infintie wealth really late join timing in a job system this modular means he has nothing. to be fair to him and the game, raising up a late unit isnt hard as you get leafs for days and can farm magla. its just i already had a well working team and didnt want to mess with it :)
Hot take Junah's class is bad, at least for like 80% of the game, tho the dekaja fire move 100% carries (Also the royal form doesnt count that one good) Also you got VERY lucky with that drop, thats something i only got after 10 hours of grinding with luckier find on all my dudes
@@enzoforgets9456 see thats actually the problem The find skills are poorly translated. Lucky Find works with common loot while Lucki*er Find works with rare items
What do you think is the strongest archetype in the game? Personally, i like the trader archetype. I’d love to play, but my computer is barely running. I found the game on boosteroid and am considering giving it a try. Your review would be really helpful!
@@Victor_AshenOne The protagonist’s final archetype is the strongest IMO due to the amount of things it can do. Also I am not planning on doing a review but I am planning a challenge run
Shame you couldn't get the Royal Berserker. It's fun as heck. Wanton Destruction becomes a basic move, meaning if the enemy doesn't block or repel Strike, they'll always be weak to strike, at the cost of 20mp.
This might sound dumb but do anyone have any ideas or tips to properly deal with bosses or mini bosses that constantly nullify all state buffs to all allies I found this to be really annoying especially for the final boss for me It made using charge/evasion/and defense. pretty much useless for me and not worth it so I was asking if there's any better way to deal with it
@@zairedann2498 one useful thing you can do is use Frigid Fortress Tactic (FFT) from General or Masked Dancer with the General’s Mask. It gives enemies a one time weakness to Ice and you can spam it to keep them perpetually weak to ice. And that’s an effect that can’t be cleared to my knowledge. Also if an enemy nulls ice, then Masked Dancer’s Ice-Blue dance solves that
@@jaffinator2166 thanks for the advise for me I felt like I was using Buffs wrong or poorly using them it is kind of a bummer that you can't use them in a traditional sense when it comes to those types of bosses
@@theonlyantwoinej1990 1. Max out Strohl to get Samurai. Realistically, he should be the first one you max 2. Get Basilio to rank 6 or 7 (I forgot which) to unlock Destroyer. 3. For every 1k EX Mastered Archetypes get, you’ll be rewarded with 1 Heroes Leaf of Light, which is an item that gives 1k experience to any archetype and, by the end of the game, you’ll be swimming in them
I outline which enemies to get them from in the video but you can get them more consistently by putting Lucky Find from Merchant on all of your characters. Also, for rare items, use Luckier Find. Both do not stack with each other but do stack across party members in terms of probability.
