Good guide! Also I'd like to add, if you ever find a room with tons of low level mobs, and its NOT a Magla crystal room. You can always Akademia reset to respawn all mobs. Its good for if you want to grind/ use Mage MP regen before a Dungeon fight. As opposed to skip the day and stay in the dungeon. Oh and also dont sleep on Commander passive later on. Good guide man keep it up
"enemies do alot of damage in this game''. For real bro... i play on Hard and its nothing i have ever seen. I either win flawless OR scrape for my life. Any fight that i dont start with a stun is basically me receiving a trashing. The problem stem from ALL enemies having 2 turns and knowing your weakness and exploiting them. I once met an enemy in the first dungeon that did wind to a weak character then ice to another weak character to gain 4 turns in total then having some repel to (i cant remember bludgeon or pierce) so it backfired on me and each spells deal near half my life. A single enemy that i usually one shot nearly took my entire group out. Its to a point that its best ressource wise to Flee from battle and reengage with a stun
@@tji7046 i think its the right difficulty tbh. Its a game were weakness, strenght, party composition is incredibly deep so you dont want to have it too easy. But like i described, some design change from personna made the game more wild/unpredictable in a less fun way imo like the double turn for single enemies, double weakness in a round and unusual high damage all across the board. It could have been tuned better while maintaining the same ressources consumption and challenge. Its still a near flawless game even with these faults to be honest
Yeah It's the same in most smt games, like Persona the game very highly incentivizes ambushing targets. In P5 nearly anytime you are caught off guard by an enemy it leads to disaster.
The Thief archetypes can steal but you don't get that until after the initial mine exploration (unless you can go back... I'm thinking you can later) @@xColdstormx
So two things: 1.) Does putting the party in the back row not nerf the "advantage" attack done by a party member at the start of combat. I would think it does. 2.) You really don't need to finish any of the dungeons in one day. It's much, much more relaxed time-wise here than what Persona feels like. You can easily spend 2/3 days on a dungeon and have time for what you need. This is not apparent at the start of the game. You think that you will need to raise all these attributes ASAP. It turns out to not be the case, and the game is a bit misleading.
@grantlawrence4600 so far having cleared alm the dungeons in a day id say it's not mandatory for beating the game but I'm still skeptical id be able to max out all social links and virtues without doing that. The days are valuable and even if I have 10 in a row to do something there is so much to see i think best practice is to beat them in one go especially since it's pretty easy
@@purplatypus7405 You get a lot of time in the backend of the game. The game seems to want to give you the sense of urgency early on. Which is a good thing for tone. That said, I enjoy doing the dungeons in one round because I want the most difficult/tense experience possible. I enjoy that feeling. No Regicide mode off the bat, unfortunately.
well, i beat the game earlier and had done everything possible (read every book, cook all things, after getting speed cooking ofcourse, the arena shit etc etc) and had like 6 days completely free. and thats with one shotting every dungeon. so... there is some constraint. you can defo get all social links done by the end with multiple dungeon runs but if you going one shot completion then i wouldnt reccomend it. BUT, you need atleast two playthroughs to plat the game anyway. so if you're anal about that sorta thing then first run is all social links and personal stats up. second would be to clean up i suppose.
Man idk what to do, I've been speccing into magic because idk what's what and mage been good. But I realize if I want to use any other arctype that's specialises in str or something I'm kidna screwed on DPS and versatility
I mean magic kinda sucks in this game compared to phys especially since phys can crit, but u have 3 other party members that can go phys, so you r not missing out on much. Also don't forget that different archetypes have different Stat bonuses. I basically build magic on mc and gave him all strength incense I found so even without having the highest strength he can deal OK damage.
i have platted the game and did MC magic/agility till 30 in magic, 25 in agi. then i had strength catch up to mag then level them evenly. there were no issues: 1, weapons dictate most of your damage and defence. you want somewhat high agi cause monsters are fcking dodge machines at times, but keeping your gear up to date is far more meaningful than having perfect stat allocation. 2, magic is used for weakness hitting so MC being mage with inherited skills are amazing for this. 3, archtypes have their own stats so they will always align you more into what they like. so warror will give you a bonus 20 str while equipped for example. additionally, archetypes give you stats on maxing them out. so maxing the warrior tree will give you a bonus 9 strength total i think. and thats the characters base stats, accessories and gear will also gives stats as well as passives, so keep an eye on those (strongest i saw was an accessory for +8 in all stats for example) after balancing leveling str and mag after, by the time i hit level 75 with the use of incense and archetype stat boosts, gear and bath salts. i had 99 in both str and mag. so you can max both very easily. 4, slight spoiler but the MC's main final archetype does have physical for it's strongest single target attack. but you will also have access to the strongest AoE wind spell in the game that ignores resistances (so they will still be hit with it even if they absorb or repel wind) so having balance is actually pretty positive. the archtype itself is also balanced stat distribution with the same boost in all stats near enough. 5, you wont be getting the caster characters for about 20+ hours so speccing magic early then balancing off after you get the first one for versatility is a solid way to go honestly (it's what i did and was perfectly fine) i hope this alleviates any anxiety you might have about levleing mag. infact for most of the game i found magic to be more useful than melee. far more elemental weaknesses going around and being in the back row all the time REALLY helps mitigate damage.
Is dungeon crawling during bad weather worth it? The game says that enemies give more exp, but the fights are waaaaaaaay harder without extra press turns from crits or weaknesses.
that hero passive thing was something i needed to hear cause i HATE how hard it is to get mp back early game especially since you cant really make/ buy much for it so now im just constantly running mage on mc unless im in a dungeon to just explore
Of course there's a downside of putting characters in the back! They deal less damage! The fact that you don't know that is concerning. I couldn't give this video a like in good conscience.
He said you move them up to the front before attacking. But for starting a battle and getting ambushed, it softens the blow and only takes a sec to move them up

I think there is a rebellion synthesis skill, if not a regular skill
They changed Rebellion itself to be single target, old Rebellion is a synth skill but its no longer reciprocal
Merchant money on the passive isn’t based on the enemy drop. It’s based on main character level.
