    Thanks for these. Still haven’t booked car for Greece this August, and it looked pretty bad when I checked a few weeks ago. Used Costco previously for a vacation package last year so maybe will work for car 🚘

      Worth a try, but for Greece you might find the other 4 more likely to help. Happy travels!

      I agree, last time we used Sixt and got a pretty good deal, but I think we have to be a bit more creative this time. Will definitely check out ALL the options. Thanks David!

    Yes, Costco does have a rental car section under travel. Expedia has better prices. For a 1 week rental out of LAX in 3rd week of June 2024 they want $487 for a full size car. Expedia is about $200 less for similar. This does not include insurance, etc.

      Sometimes their prices are better, sometimes they’re worse. The key is to have a variety of search tools at your disposal.

    I tried some these sites and all led me down to clicky rabbit holes and.or cars only available at the airport. This week I need a rental right here in my home town 45 minutes north of the airport. Enterprise might cost me about 10% more than the cheapest at the airport, but they will pick me up at my house, too.
    Frankly, I no longer play the absolute lowest price. Not just car rentals, but generally. Too much head banging to save an amount of money that won't change my life.
    I have heard good things about Costco rentals.

    • @DavidGTravels
      @DavidGTravels  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, I don't necessarily search for the absolute lowest base price either. Following the ways I laid out to search on these sites should avoid any "rabbit holes."

      There are so many factors going into daily pricing, it could be that the search your looking at is for a shorter rental or for peak dates. I rent from enterprise fairly often and pretty much always have paid under $30 a day using the techniques I go over in my videos.
