Hey man, do you have any idea what place does 5 month long contracts. I am trying to hop ship drive and they say they only accept a rental if they do a 5 month contract. it just seems so odd. what company does this.
@@natestorm194 not really, it’s usually max around 30 days for rentals from traditional companies. Maybe try reaching out to someone that rents out cars directly?
@@DavidGTravels its goofy man. ill post part of the letter where they ask for 5 months. here is their response: Thanks so much for reaching out to be a CareDriver! We do allow any rental service or rental vehicles on the platform as long as you have the following documents: - Insurance document showing your first and last name as an insured driver. - Vehicle Registration - A agreement showing that you will have the vehicle for at least 5 month. If you guys make hertz accounts online you can skip the counter in airports and then u don't have to speak to anyone you just walk into the car and the keys are already in the car other major companies also have that saves me loads of time on lomg lines
Hertz gives you the skip the counter option but when you get there , it says see desk for help because they want to pesuade you to upgrade. Enterprise was legit skip the counter, show them your confirmation on your phone and away you go.
@@DavidGTravelsSo i am 20 and this is my first time reserving a rental ever and I am confused about the process for renting online. You basically pay now and then dont have to pay anything when you go to pick up the car? I know I will have to pay an extra fee because of my age and it says I have to do it when I pickup the car, but other then that there are no hidden fees and the milage will be unlimited?
Great video!! Yeah companies are getting smarter by requiring residency and passport to match country of booking, not fun when I find a cheap rental with India vpn for us rental but then the fine print says must be India resident. Now we gotta find something new to compensate!
One thing i have found is the prices on the comparison websites are never that accurate with insurance factored in, Some company's include the damage waiver others will charge as much as the rental. After many bad experiences with the major players Avis being the worst i now only rent with Alamo, Book on there site, Only ever paid booking price.
Using the right credit card for coverage as well as booking on the right set is important when it comes to insurance. Enterprise Holdings (Alamo) can really vary a ton by location, as can the Avis Budget Group. My worst rental experience ever was with Alamo, and involved months of attempted communication to get their error acknowledged and finally fixed. It caused me to be charged somewhere around $1,600 without my consent or any explanation randomly after returning a car I rented.
Sometimes I do use VPN-based search strategies to find rental car deals, but this is very rarely useful and most of the best deals don’t need a VPN to be bookable. Have any success stories you’d like to share? By the way, I’ve been considering uploading a video showing the best VPN strategies for finding travel deals, and would love to hear if folks are interested.
If you use vpn make sure if your using credit card insurance it will cover also once in a while they will see you booked from out of country and ask you for proof that you were there...
Have you ever encountered virtual assistance or any other virtual process like picking the key or inspecting the car? Please give me your opinion on that.

Many companies offer skip-the-counter in various forms, but you usually won't be able to get the cheapest prices and use it.
I am Indian how I can do that??
@@Cricket_universe_indi think it only works in us and Canada but not sure just sighn up for hertz gold

Great tips that actually work.
Glad the video was helpful, happy travels!
I found this very informational and helpful
Glad it was helpful, happy travels!
Also another hack if your 20 and want to rent without underage fee get aaa membership and book with hertz to have your underage fee waved
Great tip for younger renters - just keep in mind that you'll probably have to book direct to get this, which could be more expensive.
Totally impressed here!
Glad it was helpful!
havent reserved my rental yet, but the advice to check european websites seems to be worth something
I use that hack a lot, happy travels!

@@FiveMissilesIdeally not, but this will all be written out in the terms and conditions of your rental.
@@DavidGTravels ok, i will do my DD then. thank you!
If you get aaa membership it waves the underage fee with hertz and it only like 30$ a year@@FiveMissiles

How so get a car with no deposit.
You generally have to leave a deposit using a credit card. But you can try a local company, or a car share app.
Have you used a VPN to show that you are in a different location to save on car rentals?

I mean some companies have automated processes where you don't have to pick up keys from a person that I've used. Is that what you mean?
