When you found headlight out, why not go to auto zone or advance ? They will install light for free, then take receipt to host, you get reimbursed for cost of light.

Wonderful. Super informative review!!! Thank you for this!!! You covered all & more questions I had about Turo. I live in Vegas & haven't had nor needed a car here in 7yrs, as the buses run every 15mins & I'm close enough to skateboard to most other things or from bus stops. Occasionally I Uber & it gets costly....& compared to Turo, it's insane that I would ever Uber with the alternative option... I'm super stoked to try Turo out this week on my days off now, thanks to your wonderful review; you've made my worries into elation & super stoked-ness! I miss driving so much!!!

@Hate Committee also if you don't want to buy a bus pass you can buy one through the RTC app or one when you board the bus via the box right in front of you it's $2 for a one way ride, $3 for a 2hour pass & $5 for a 24 hour pass.
Vegas is a very easy City to navigate bc it's on a grid no water or old streets like most cities.
So if you ever get lost no worries just hop off & cross the street to get to the next bus stop. Bus stops are everywhere, each block has at least one. You'll get to remembering the bus stop#'s you frequent & the app or 41411 (#you'll text to confirm when your bus is coming) your text to that#will be in your thread.
      Towards the strip=West
Away from strip=East & towards Boulder Highway & Casino
South=. Towards the airport & South Outlet mall & SSTT(South strip transfer terminal)
North= towards downtown,Arts district & BTC ( Bonneville transit station)
The 2 transit stations above are the 2 where you'll catch connections to other buses if you need.
Google maps where you're going, click the bus/public transportation option & it'll tell you what bus/buses you'll need & from there you can look up when & where your bus/buses are coming.
The bus is a great way to learn your way, I highly recommend the arts district it's newly renovated & has great art, character, restaurants, shops etc.
Give yourself time bc here in Vegas we have a ton of construction.
Also be very careful ppl drive like Helen Keller, trust no cars see you walking & go behind em.
Also it's a transient City as many neat people there are there's a lot of bad people/ oppertunivors so trust your gut! You're not being paranoid or mean you're being smart & your gut tells you things for a reason! Carry a knife or mace for night travel & only wear one head phone just to stay vigilant.
Also the buses have bike racks on the front they hold 3 bikes but if they're full you have to wait for the next bus.
Buses show up to your stop every 15min if a busy street if not they'll show up every 30mins.
Saturday & Sunday buses run on different times also on holidays. So always check via the app
Most bus drivers are pretty cool/nice & if you doubt yourself just ask em & they'll help you or let you know when you're at your stop.
      Best of luck to you!!

There was no problem whatsoever with the host. he is extremely patient and accommodating. When everything was said and done, the close out process was exceptionally smooth. Honestly, I will never rent a car through any other source than Turo...half the price ($43.00 a day for a 2019 Honda Accord) of any mainstream rental company. I actually just became a host myself and started renting out my honda civic. 2 renters so far and another renter booked for tomorrow. Pretty cool app both for renters and hosts. Turo I heard is about to go public so it will definitely become more popular when that happens.

In my opinion I wouldn’t have worried about the one headlight that was burnt out, there’s a reason why they have two of them….😉 nonetheless you would have been ok to cruise around during the day storms or sun…… glad to hear you’re experience was mostly favourable!!

The problem with Turo is, if your car you booked becomes off-line, from a wreck from a previous renter, you have to spend a lot of time on the phone with Turo Customer Service to switch your booking to another vehicle that your host is offering. Large rental car companies don't make their problem your problem when things like this happen. It's an inconvenience I have to endure to save money and have availability. My Turo host has a personal rental car fleet of five or six vehicles and he required me to call Turo Customer Support to get my booking switched from his car, that was off line, to his other car, that was available. After I pick up my Turo rental car, next week and finish renting it, I'll report back on my experience.

Turo's customer service left me stranded five hundred miles from my house. I called them to get a jumpstart that never showed up. They kept losing my request in their computer. Anyway, after four hours, I called an Uber and went to the AutoZone and bought a battery to install in the truck so I could finish my business trip. Horrible service, they've given me five "how did we do" surveys, and they haven't even acknowledged it. Pathetic. It was the worst rental experience of my life!
