About the "Kissing The Shadows" solo, I'm sorry about that, but it was the only one version that wasn't affected by Copyright (all the others were blocked).
Some of his solos are quite messy and you only realize it after listening to Pual Gilbert solos etc, I imagine that if Alexi wasn't a heavy drinker he could've been one of the best guitar players of all time. But hey. touring is hard and that's the reality of it.
Alexi Laiho to me is the definition of what can happen when talent works hard. Really fucking hard. I've read his biography and seen almost all of his interviews on youtube because I am a massive fanboy and what he has always said is that when he was young he basically played guitar 8h daily. Sometimes more, of course sometimes he might not play that much or maybe he even missed some days. But the point is that he worked extremely hard to achieve the skill level he got to.
I remember I was 13 when I first listen to Children Of Bodom, I really like Alexi Laiho back then because I think he is the most handsome guy I've ever seen. I am 30 years old know I still think young Alexi Laiho is the most handsome guy I've ever seen
When i was 13 and I was learning to play guitar I listened to so much Bodom hoping that one day I'd be able to play like Alexi. 20 years later, I'm pretty good, but still nowhere near what he was able to do at 21. He was so underrated even in the metal scene. I still cant believe that he died. Not many artists can put out 4 albums back to back that are amazing. They had so many decent songs and so many of them were so complicated to play, even by today's standards.
When i was young and started to listen to metal i heard some of cob songs but i just listened to them once. When alexi died i started again and i dont know how i didnt realize his genius guitar work then but he was one of very small group that no one will mimick. Even to this day im thinking how he created those riffs and this is beyond my mind. Masterpiece
Nobody could have written that bodom beach terror solo. Like nobody alive or dead. In fact, most of his solos probably. Just such a unique way of thinking about music. Fucking legend, rest in peace!
EXACTLY! The solo from Bodom Beach Terror has a straight up "80s" influence to it, that hits you right in the gut. Fits that song so well, and I think it's the best solo on that album.
Why am I just now hearing about his death two years later... God, 2020 was such a shit year. This was one of my guitar idols when I first started out. Blooddrunk was one of the first songs that made want to pick it up.
What a terrible waste of a beautiful and entertaining talent. I saw them years back on Megadeths GIGANTOUR and he was so fucked up his hindrance of play was noticeable. Sad. He was so exciting to listen to.

one of the last guitar legends.
One of the only . No one will ever come close

@@Gigatless He has mentioned before that the messiness is sort of intended given the heavy influence punk had on him and CoB
@@Gigatless studio versions are clean
True. Succesor of Randy Rhoads indeed
his talent was infinite
True this
And ....hard working!

All for nothing solo just hits me.. So much unspoken words and he took them with him to the grave. Its the way i see/hear that solo.
The best guitarist ever..i listened to CoB since 2003 and nobody can replace Alexi.. rest in power, legend!
His work with Sinergy is my favorite,
That Alexi sound is so special

Alexi is the greatest guitarist I ever saw live and I saw Eddie Van Halen in the 80's!!

He was one of the best. He is one of the best! And he will be one of the best!
Like them or not, no one can deny the creative genius of Alexi and his solos, Truly some of the best ever sections of music ever written and played.

He had a very intense classical feel, but not the same as neoclassical metal, he was in a league of his own, Rest in Peace to a true legend 🙏
One of a kind!
Today I learned Everytime I Die solo. It's like the best thing I've done with my guitar
Randy , dimebag , Eddie , Alexi rip

Покойся с миром легенда, ты был лучшим из лучших 😢💔
он все еще живет в наших сердцах 🙏❤️
The fact that trashed lost and strungout is not on here is a crime. One of his best
Only Dimebag and Laiho...had the soul for what they were doing man...those guitars were more than Guns for them...
Very well said
RIP legend..another badass guitarist gone too soon
アレキシライホのリフの合間のハーモニクスの時なんかに
顔まで歪ませながら強烈ビブラートがカッコイイんだよなぁ

Love you
tilutilu.
Mon dieu quel grateux quelle perte quand j'ai su qu'il etait parti....
Damn I miss Alexi
Why did you choose that live for kissing the shadows ?
Copyright...
All for nothing is criminally underated, i think its due to the album wasn't very good overally, truely a diamond in the rough
cutting off the kissing the shadows solo after the first solo, man, what a sin
Seen ministry life on their last tour supposedly
why did you include Kissing the shadows, the best solo ever, from a show where he totally fucked up ? ::D:D
1:50-1:59
He would eventually evolve to some master like Petrucci, were he still alive
This sound
piriririririiririririri riiii riririririiririirii ruiiiiiii ruiririuririririiri
