I looked into void glides for TNT map09 pacifist some time ago, if it was possible to get out of bounds somewhere by the red key switch one could run across the void to the other side of the map in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction and reach the exit switch! Unfortunately the only geometry that could allow for the player to get into the void has issues with height differences making it impossible. So a "normal" playthrough seems to be the only way, where the pinky before blue key is the biggest problem. If a reliable way past the pinky could be found then maybe the rest could be done with enough infighting and patience, but overall that seems unlikely. I also made some more progress on the E4M3 second torch secret, I managed to void glide using similar geometry that could give access to it, but it doesn't work because of different blockmap position as far as I know. Looks like it's impossible to actually leave if one could get there, so a single player demo is impossible. No useful void glide geometry exist at all for E4M7 so that secret cannot be triggered from the void. I'd be extremely surprised if any of them were one day completed (ignoring the master levels, still haven't played them, heh), but there might be a tiny bit of hope for one of them, who knows :)

This all makes sense to me now, I’ve been playing the original doom, and doom 2, on doom eternal, on his old pc in his room, it’s actually more fun than I expected.
Same, because I didn't have access to all of Doom 1, just the shareware version
Defeat the Icon of Sin with a chainsaw...
This is the inspiration I need to get back to finishing the Super Gore Nest master level on Nightmare. Some of the fights in it are deliciously sadistic.
"Doom challenges that remain impossible"
Doom community: Finally a worthy opponent!
Our battle will be legendary!
Another great video. It makes me happy there are still challenges left out there. Gives you guys something to strive for.
They say when all challenges are met, Doom Guy can be reunited with Daisy.
12:52 He had one fucking job.
Can we all agree decino's analysis videos are the best? Always extremely exhaustive and extremely well done.
The biggest Doom challenge is trying to get an uber purist to play NuDoom
Love your content decino, I'll be waiting for the next part of this challenges series!
Greetings Decino, Are their any challenges in Sigil that are impossible?(technically it is commercially released by Romero...) Also can you do series on Scythe, and maybe Scythe 2. Personally I think Scythe has some of the best maps ever made. And lastly will you ever cover Weapon/Monster/etc mechanics for doom 64
I asked for Scythe maybe a year back and I think he said the .wad as a whole wasn't considered challenging enough or something like that. I'd definitely like to see something though, the last ten or so maps get pretty crazy.
I did Scythe MAP30 as an April Fools' video last year. The only challenging map in the entire WAD pretty much.
@@decino Scythe 2 was definitely harder than Scythe for me. The overall design of the majority of the maps is what made them both outstanding. Finishing up Hell Revealed right now, which except a few of the last levels isnt too hard.
@@decino Sigil was somewhat challenging on UV because you are starved for ammo
I was never able to play DOOM in my life but this is very entertaining to watch, keep going decino!
2:35 Dream should try it because he is very lucky apparently
"Huge Respect. Congratulations. You did what many couldn't even imagine. At least, I couldn't. Waiting for a Decino video on this." - I commented exactly this on Pleymo's Plutonia Map 30 pacifist run video a month ago.
I'm doom god
I think some developers have to review their levels, so 100% kills and secrets are possible, I think in E4M3, you can reach these inaccessible secrets by destroying the torches using Brutal Doom, in Brutal Doom, you can destroy some or all decorative environments.
Just use cheats lol
Decino's technical Doom breakdowns are my favorite videos on TH-cam by far!!!
Thank you for these videos! They explain so much about a game franchise I thought I knew but had no idea. These impossible videos I especially like because it vindicates angry 13 year old me wondering why I couldn't get 100% in some levels.
4:50 fucking lmao at that shotgunner just obliterating himself shooting those barrels point blank, gonna be chuckling about that all night
i think JCD deserves a shoutout too for being the first person to do a plutonia run on nightmare with 100% secrets. great video as always
This makes me think of what kinda other challenges could exist. It would be cool to find out.
Great video! I encourage you to keep telling people they can’t do it because it’s great to see these get accomplished!
6:48 Fella literally pulled "You know, i had to do it to 'em" on my man Decino
The Doom God's take Decino's challenge videos personally, and more often than not come out on top. Great video, and great work to the community as well!!
Minutes after making my way through this video (love your work - class A entertainment, very inspiring, even if I won’t be able to master such patience😅) I stumbled upon Kotaku article with a shoutout to your efforts! I guess tonight I’ll be replaying DOOM on my Switch (the only gaming system I have😁)
