I gots me my glass of wine poured and I'm just gonna sit back and soak this up. Salude to all involved, but particularly the lady in charge, Jocelyn Gould. BTW, I'm digging your latest CD. God bless!!
1)Wes Montgomery - Full House 2) Joe Pass - Virtuoso 3) George Benson Quartet - It's Uptown 4) Johnny Smith Quintet - Moonlight in Vermont 5) Ted Greene - Solo Guitar (1977)
As someone who with friends in tow would catch wonderful local and international Jazz and Fusion, as well as Blues artists/bands at many of Montréal's wonderful, yet have long gone, Jazz bars, this was a jot to listen to. Brought back a lot of memories of the excitement and the playfulness of a live performance. Thank you to Jocelyn and to the equally as wonderful artists who surround her for sharing your artistry. 🌺
I'm in love with your playing, it is actually the most genuine thing I have ever seen. So much love and care in each note. I aspire to play like you. Much love, from Japan
Real music, regardless of genre is always my special joy in life, and you have all shown transparent authenticity and artistry lacking in so many fields of popular music,as always! Thank you Jocelyn and band for this offering of pure gold.
all musicians are top notch!! there is a warmth to the music, like I can feel the stress just melt off my body when I watch. Perfect for evening to surf my couch and relax! I love the banter and Jocelyn's bubbly personality is awesome! subbed.
Brilliant. Thanks again for Posting.Best hour spent along with your session with Frank Vignola! (I Think I had Better continue Transcribing those awesome lines)👌
Finally someone who plays music and not that boring accademia's licks, this is fresh, moving and beautiful... and in the first song you're channeling Wes. How great are you?
Loved Change of Plans, so went to listen on Spotify and Addison Frei plays on it. Random story, I studied music in South Africa and he performed at our school. Weird connections to magical music. Its an awesome tune. Keep making the magic please and thanks 😁😁
Jocelyn, on behalf of my good friend and 2nd father ;) the late Kees Bakker, thank you very much for the beautiful tune: Someone to Watch over Me !! WOW ♥
I heard Wes three times in person, in small clubs in Indianapolis, and went to his funeral. I sent an email to your info email. GREAT sounds ... especially the one's obviously from Wes influence. Arnie, guitar player ... Arnie Soul Brothers 1959-1964
Another fun hang with Gould Notes😉. Relaxed, loose… and, the music - tight👏😁! Good to have a built in “top 3” support network😂. Maybe a future question could explore your vocal roots… such a sweet tone. Keep ‘em coming, Jocelyn.
Aloha from Hawaii!!! Great & awesome show!!! Also awesome band!!! Any chance in the future coming to Hawaii and perform here, perhaps at the Blue Note in Honolulu? Looking forward to any future evdeavors coming to the Islands here in Hawaii!!! Any thoughts of improvising when you play with your band or with others? Any thoughts also with your band mates? Keep up the Good work with your future shows!!! Mahalo (thank you - in Hawaiian)!!! 🌴🍍☀
Aloha, thank you so much for watching! I would love to play in Hawaii. I can address those questions on a future show if you submit them on my social media!
Thank you so much for this show, we love it! My girlfriend and I had the chance to catch your set in Rimouski in September and we quickly talked with Caity and you outside the venue (I'm the dude with the 7 string archtop). It was amazing! Keep them coming, you have fans for life here in Eastern Québec!
Ok, I'm watching your second show and I like being here.I also like Kenny Burrell , Midnight Blue. I had that on my cd player for 3 years when I went to bed at night. Btw, I will always note how I love your 16b guitar. That is just the best archtop you could have chosen ,,now back to the show...
A wonderful show, Jocelyn. What a cool bunch of musicians you're playing with, everyone is in the music yet very chilled. I am not knowledgable regarding jazz piano, but I love Will's playing here. I'm here for your playing obviously, and I've been a fan for probably four years now. Next time you're in the UK I'll make sure i get tickets! I missed out on your recent visit. I did have one question. Before you got the Benedetto, which archtop were you using and did you hold on to it? Much love.
Absolutely love this! Fantastic band, great audio and video quality and awesome vibes all around! Where could I submit a question for a future episode?
Some one watch over me, a nice song, but just my opinion it should be a little more upbeat. I enjoy your shows Thanks. Question , what kind and how thick of pick do you use?

And Ravi Shankar, Budhaditya Mukherjee, Ustad Vilayat, Donovan, THE BEATLES, Miles Davis, Victor Wooten… Music
I think you're fantastic! I was reading that you name Wes, Grant G., Joe P., and Jim Hall as influences. However, I hear a lot of Metheny, especially in your melodies. Would you please comment on that observation? Thank you. (Also, do you offer private lessons? Thank you.)
I love Pat Metheny, I wouldn't be surprised if some of that had found its way into my playing! I do some private lessons on a limited basis during the year, I can add you to my waiting list if you send an email through my website!
The tunes you write are the kind of jazz that I would love to play. I'm 81 and have been playing since I was 14, jazz since 18. Do you have any PDF's or sheeys of your son available?
Great show and musicianship by all! Curious as to why bassist is visually separated from drummer, As a bassist myself I would find that unnerving in a live situation. Thanks!
We are doing that to isolate the bass mic from the drums a little bit, otherwise there is too much sound bleed. We'd definitely prefer if they could see each other better! But we have to make some compromises in a recording situation like this
I gots me my glass of wine poured and I'm just gonna sit back and soak this up. Salude to all involved, but particularly the lady in charge, Jocelyn Gould. BTW, I'm digging your latest CD. God bless!!
Thanks so much! Sounds like a great way to take in the show!
