- The Green New Deal is a framework for imagining a better world, and Loving the Bronx in partnership with local activists in the South Bronx have been imagining solutions for their community through an initiative to cap the Cross-Bronx Expressway.
With the support of Alexandria and other local elected officials and funding from the federal infrastructure bill, organizers are collaborating on a multi-agency effort to reconnect communities, bring new green space and reverse the effects of environmental racism in the borough.

The fact that landlords don't simply raise all rents to ten thousand dollars per month means they know we can't afford more, that the limit they know is set we can't afford much more, flipped over for our last coins. If they can be priced so high, that means the rent prices are flexible, therefore can go down. For those who make minimum wage, it has become not at all possible to afford these rates. The landlords are literally competing with each other for who can price it more, they admit seeing their neighbors charge more then they follow greedily suite. Rent maximum across the nation, otherwise where does it stop? Again, house rentals mostly affect low income because rich dont need to rent. Rent maximum, maybe base it off the federal minimum wage, makes sense? Pricing out families from their homes also damages local business, tourism, anything involved with the general public. Rent maximum price.

The Bronx has a lot of Hispanic, black and Latino neighborhoods. Why did Robert Moses make the Cross Bronx Expressway? Was Robert Moses planning to give people in those ghetto neighborhoods asthma? This whole video raises a lot of unanswered questions. Somethings just don't appear to be kosher. We need to investigate the matter and start this capping the cross bronx expressway right and left.
