- Ive chucked a throttle controller into the Y62 Patrol to dumb the throttle down a bit when offroad in lumpy low range stuff, so far pretty impressed.

Put it through the paces today in all road modes but not low range yet, certainly livens the throttle up
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and adventures, keep it coming. Just 1 question that may sound silly but when you are driving the y62 on sand what mode do you find best
Actually heading back in the sand this weekend , straddie, i generally drive hi4 on reasonable hard sand, and if i go to Lo4 for soft sand i leave in road or rock mode, sand mode seems to drop power and you sink. Not quite sure what they were thinking when they set that up. Ill have a fiddle on the weekend,

Nice vid Chris, will be getting one of these too, curious, you mentioned you have the Y62 manual on a USB, just wondering where you got that from ? Is it just the drivers manual or the workshop manual ?

It was shared on a 62 forum, i wouldnt call it a full workshop manual but pretty close, not just the factory manual

Yeah, the one i found is in between factory workshop manual and glove box one. Pretty sure you can buy a electronic copy online
Just googled, the one i have googles up on www.nissanpatrol.com.au forum with a link. The forst one that comes up doesnt work but kept scrolling, the next link down worked, zip file. Has a fair bit of info. I had to download again anyway on my new phone so thatnks for the reminder.

Hey Chris, would it enhance the towing experience ?
Not sure mate, the standard throttle is ok for me towing the big wobbly box , it was only low range that ot annoyed me.
