Pretty stoked you’re being legit about this. I can’t believe the cope around this game. And the shady shit happening around it is so obvious it’s making me mental that people don’t see it or are ignoring it.
@@TheHuggableEmpire There’s no way the people who made this game are stupid enough to not know how busted this game is. It seems like they dumped tons of money on making it look good but not play well. The same few animations are used over and over again just mixed and matched and I guarantee aren’t original. They’re purchased assets. Because all the money and time was pumped into what would make a good trailer. AND marketing. And what’s funny is that also means you have a bunch of huge souls streamers saying your product is good when it isn’t. I saw so many streamers play this game for the time they were paid saying they would get back to finish it and none of them actually did. And you could tell they knew how janky it was but would have these vague video titles like “is this the best new souls game?!” And then they played for the day they got paid and never touched it again. Then there was the game producers saying it was a 40 hour game to justify the $50-$60 price tag. But the game is actually 10-12 hours long. Maybe 15 if you’re new to souls. Which I guess they later claimed was supposed to include NG+ cycles in the total time which is ridiculous. But pretending like they didn’t know what people would think when they heard 40 hours is absurd. So it seems like this company was just jumping on the souls train to rip people off through a clever marketing campaign while selling them shit. This game should be $15. $20 tops. And they released it when they knew the horrible condition the game was in. And I’m not talking about performance issues. Fundamentally broken. So what did they do then? They released a road map to appease people that will fix nothing because they can’t patch out the bones of the game. It’s all just sneaky and sleazy and doesn’t add up. Anyway that’s what I think and it tracks. I started thinking something was off when I played the demo. It felt like an alpha or something. But the thing is it was already supposed to be released. It got delayed because of Elden Ring. But then they played it off like they released the demo to get feedback to fix issues which… no. It was supposed to release the same day as Shadow of the Erdtree and they made the wise decision to push it back. So they seem to just keep lying or being misleading about things. Then I started paying attention to everything else and it just stinks of something sketchy.
@@ikedogman1Damn that’s wild lol The video game industry in 2024 is so cooked. What sucks is we get maybe MAYBE 5 good games a year now. It really sucks dude

The gameplay and boss copy/paste feels like they wanted to push out a minimum viable product, but the gorgeous environments tell a different story. It's a real shame.
Honestly, I love the souls genre, but I’m a keyboard and mouse player. I wish they’d start adding an option to attack where you aim the camera so that we don’t have to use the clunky target lock system
Great vid, really like your take on souls analysis. Any chance we could get a re-review of Lords of the Fallen with all the patches? Watched your last one a few times. Not expecting a new score, just curious.
To top off this shot game. The final boss eliminated all builds. You basically have to respek just to fight the final boss. Never seen a souls game that makes all builds literally useless just to make it " difficult"
I wanted to like this game so bad that I ended up buying full version despite not liking the demo. Stupid, I know. I hate the combat system and... the game is all combat. I've played A LOT of 2024 releases and this is a bottom 3 game for me out of all of them.
Yes, the game is garbage, all ennemies and bosses are reskins, the animations in general are abysmal and the bosses are awful. The environnements, character design and like the only 2 osts that were in the game were pretty good
I've played a LOT of DS1 recently, and I'd say I never felt a feeling of "relief" after a boss, even when playing the game for the first time recently, a couple months ago. But everyone's gonna feel different about boss fights in general. What I *did* feel that way with was Elden Ring DLC bosses. Which IMO is a very bad feeling to have when playing a video game.
The feeling i got beating the dancer of yhe boreal vally was the exact feeling i felt the first time i took a hit of crack cocaine, 100% same high, lasted the same amount of time too about 3 min
I can't play this game because it looks like it was made in Unreal. No clue if it is or isn't, but it has such a generic look to it with nothing distinctive. If lies of p had mid bosses I could have lived with it because the style was consistent and unique, but this just looks like store assets and extremely simplistic enemies that happen to hit really hard.

@@ikedogman1 So basically what they did for shadow of the erdtree 😂😂
Lies of P was a once in a generation GREAT soulslike. Everything else is decent at best
Nioh 2 is way fkn better, although I don’t really consider it a soulslike more so a spiritual successor to the NG games.
Yeah Nioh is the best. All fromsoft is overrated. They have good aesthetics but not gameplay, the thing that matters most. Nioh has both.
@@normalguycap kinda true, Nioh 1/2 have much better gameplay than any FS game.

Is there actual dlc coming for Lies of P? Anyone know?
This game takes the title for bosses who are just dudes is armour 😂
Has J of J uploaded any videos about SEKIRO?
Best souls game reviewer on TH-cam. I think you're going to enjoy The First Beserker: Khazan.
Pleease review salt and sanctuary you'll love it
I still think the surge 2 was the best souls like, direction blocing was sooooo addictive
I'm quite surprised with how beautiful the game is
Yeah, having sunlight helps a lot.

Stellar blade is the best 2024 souls
The Nioh games and Lies of P remain the best Soulslike games out there.
Every other soulslike feels like a cheap attempt at chasing the trendy thing.
I feel Nioh surpasses them too. The combat is unparalleled and spoiled me on the boring gameplay of fromsoft titles.
Yes, the game is garbage, all ennemies and bosses are reskins, the animations in general are abysmal and the bosses are awful. The environnements, character design and like the only 2 osts that were in the game were pretty good
Do you usually run past enemies in Soulslikes?
who doesn’t😭
Looks great but do I have to look like discount robin hood?
nvm looks like you can change hats yayyy. What? I'm talking about super important stuff here!

Shadow of the erdtree was disappointing but this game was great 🤡
He says it's 'great' for a crappy knock off soulslike game, I imagine the standard is a bit different.
