Great video! What is not understood is why they did not announce it as early access with the number of things that, beforehand, had to be improved. Despite that, I had a good time with the game, I recommend it, but I share the difficulty in the transition between animations, they need to be polished a lot. Something to highlight are the compendiums, which on the one hand order the lore, if it is something that may interest some, and on the other hand, order the quests, making them much easier to complete.
This video weirdly made me want to play Enotria even more, shot it way up my wish list. Looks absolutely beautiful, and I can deal with the jank and the overly complicated nature of the mechanics. It seems like a mess worth investing in, if that makes any sense.
Never thought much about this game but by seeing your vid it looks kinda interesting i love games with depth and complex builds and mechanics going to wishlist this for now and wait for it to be bug free and fixed thanks
Great video! I know this game has a lot of shortcomings compared to others, but I'm having so much fun and sense of wonder I don't care about them. And it introduced me to the genre!
I too agree with a lot you said specially the loadout system being useless, but there are some things that I would like to put emphasis on: 1. This game fails terribly at telling me that things are wrong and I need to change this world. Other than some blood on the floor here and there the tone that this game has is very happening which I ironically liked but I would have liked it even more if I did provide more occasions where I see "yeah, this world needs to change". What I was doing for the most part was well, just progress. Also, this game fails to remind you of "who you are and what you are destined to do" compared to say "lies of P". 2. Parry. However satisfying it maybe I find that its utility is heavily reduced when your normal attacks also build stagger meter and quite good at that. Personally, for the most part I didn't even find parrying that satisfying, it just didn't felt very natural to me, I believe the part reason might be as you stated bad(not that smooth) animations, and for the love of god I still don't understand all those "parry stones". 3. Its pretty clear from your video as well when you point to various landscapes, the draw distance is really really low in this game. First this game doesn't have many "landscapes" and for where it has those it suffers from poor draw distance. Most of the time the textures just wouldn't load and you would see highly pixelated version, specifically speaking - Just before the Melted ruler boss fight the view can be sooooo good but the draw distance breaks everything. 4. I am pretty sure but you can't store your Memoria aka souls. So basically you can't buy something that would give you more or less same souls so that you don't lose it upon dying if you don't got to retrieve it. Thanks
Here's hoping they can at least No-Man's-Sky this. Still a bad thing to have impression breaking issues on release, but it feels like they can do it if they try.
It's funny, I didn't even know this game existed, and yet I insist on watching the video hahaha Your videos are getting better and better, keep it up. A hail from Brazil
nice video you articulated your opinions well. personally I agree with almost everything you said both negative and positive sides. I'm still having fun playing it and I hope we can talk about the game again in the future, If I had to rate it I would give it a 7 right now. Maybe because I'm a little biased? I don't know but I really appreciate all the references and inspiration to my culture that they put into the game. I didn't find it completely disappointing but it's obvious to everyone that they could do better so the only thing I can to do is to hope for the best for the game in the near future (personally I'm bombarding them with general feedback, both technical and personal😂)
Yah it was a lot of fun, but looking at the roadmap they are basically admitting to criminally pushing an early access title as a finished product. Some of the passives also didn't even seem to work properly. The lines also you basically had to test each one since the descriptions were weak, and there was no info on damage ( and of course how do you compare an unupgraded skill to your already upgraded ones...). Much shame.
I agree with all the criticism. The game does have flaws and animations are some of the bigger ones. However I liked the style and setting so much I still feel like the game worth having a fandom and being cherished. It certainly went quite big on its trailers and underdelivered, but how much style it oozes is so wonderful that it needs to be talked about. Too bad that most likely it will disappear in abscurity, just how Grime, There is no Light, Vigil and several other games did.
man as an italian this game hurt to see , im sad cause if they had like 1 year of extra development they could have made the next lies of p but now we have just another souls like massively limited and cut down 😢
