I have a co worker who is working on their private pilot license who wants to fly for Delta . Are the programs they offer really good for aspiring pilots?
I’ve flown the 75S a few times now. Once between Boston and Atlanta, then back in December, I flew on it between Seattle and Minneapolis. I then tried it between New York and Seattle for 26,000 miles. Such a nice plane.
I love Delta. They hold true to the “premium airline” business model, and it works. I’ll pay more for a delta flight over any other because I know they will treat me right.
I just started flying on Delta last year, so have now flown with them a few times. But last fall I booked a June trip from Seattle to JFK in Delta One--I'll be in seat 2A on the 757-200. I also heard that Delta will be phasing out the 757, and since I'd never flown on it before, I thought I'd better hurry up! Also, I've never even flown in First Class before--I just didn't see the need on my typical 2-3 hour flights. But Seattle to JFK is 5-5-1/2 hours, so I'll have lots and lots of time to enjoy Delta One, and Delta's marvelous seatback screens. Looks like I definitely won't starve either! Yum! :D One and a half months to go until my flight, and I can hardly wait...fingers crossed that everything goes okay! Thanks for the great review, and you're the SECOND TH-camr whose video I've watched recently who got a personal note from Delta! They probably won't give me one, even though I joined SkyMiles, as I still haven't been flying with them for a year yet.... :)
That thank you letter is fully warranted. On our honeymoon in the "before times" to Greece they came with a personal note thanking us for choosing them to take us there. Very nice touch!
We were in the sky at the same time! I was flying to Denver same time you were flying to JFK! We enjoyed the return of Delta catering at the exact same time, amazing.
Great review, and it looked like a great flight all around. Nice to see Delta bringing back the full service (and then some) on their first class product. Love the 757 too, still going super strong. 25 second takeoff - wow! I’m dating myself, but I’ve flown on that exact plane, N703TW, several times on TWA. The first time it was only a few months old and had that new plane smell, which is almost as great as new car smell. I remembered how futuristic and modern it looked with TWA one of the first to deploy the Recaro slimline seats in coach. Most people hated those seats because the cushions were thinner, but I actually found them comfortable with more legroom. Anyway, N703TW is still looking good - nice to see Delta taking good care of her.
Totally gotta go with the RR for the mighty 757! I tell you what Emiliano, I have some anxiety issues and nothing cools me down more than watching one of your trip reports! Especially when they turn those cabin lights off after pushback on a night flight! keep it up homie, you're keeping all of our blood pressures down, and our spirits up! Ill be on Delta domestic first in about 3 weeks!
Paid first class for a 2 hour flight coming up in May on what was supposed to be a regular 200. The aircraft changed to a 75s after my purchase and I’ll be in a Delta One seat for no extra cost! I’m sure it’s normal to not charge for D1 for such a short flight but I’m excited nonetheless.
A couple weeks ago I flew Delta One from JFK to SFO. The service and the FA’s were fantastic and the food was outstanding. The seats were generally comfortable and a lie flat seat overnight was worth its weight in gold. The only lousy aspect to the flight is that i had an aisle seat and the person in the window seat has to literally crawl over you to get to the aisle if the seat is flat. Come on Delta, you got everything else right, get rid of this configuration and give everybody aisle access so strangers don’t have to get intimate with you in the middle of the night. If you fix this you will have a REAL premium cabin!
Yes I did I flew on delta on April 3, 2022 from Philadelphia to Louisville Kentucky and that flight was incredibly amazing smooth flight all they way and the FAs were very friendly and helpful I would recommend anyone to fly with delta airlines
Thank you for the video. I fly Delta on a nearly weekly basis from ATL to various cities along the east coast. As a result, I rarely get upgraded due to the number of medallion members based out of ATL. The Delta Agent in the SkyClub the other day told me that there were over 1 Million Diamond members in the Atlanta area alone. I am not sure of the validity of that figure but As a Platinum member (Soon to be Diamond, Thank you Delta for Rolling over all of my MQMs from last year), I occasionally get upgraded to Comfort plus much less First. However, with that being said I can not say enough good things about the service I have received from Delta Air Lines overall. Even throughout the Pandemic. I never stopped traveling. The service I received was always top-notch. Several years ago I had the opportunity to experience Delta One on the 757 on a flight ATL-BOS when I was making a Northeast run nearly weekly. It was great. That aircraft was doing BOS-CDG routing later that day. Delta was using the 757 to make Trans-Atlantic runs to cities from the northeast that were smaller markets than New York and say London.
I flew on the 75S once from KJFK back home to KSEA. I remember my dad really wanted to pounce one the opportunity for the extra legroom in row 35. I, unfortunately had to sit ahead of him in row 33 but that was ok since I am shorter than him. My only complaint about the whole experience was that, because of the 757's age, one of the wall panels was slightly dislodged and the insulation was visible. Other than that, I had no issues with it and it was a rather pleasant experience. I will always love Delta (even if I have only flown with them twice) and I hope to fly for them someday if I manage to become a commercial pilot.
I live through you guys who post these trips. Haven't flown since 2019, on United a pacific international trip in Polaris and a Delta semi-transcon SLC-JFK in Delta+. The Palm Beach airport reminded me of the old Salt Lake City Int'l concourses. On a personal note: I like that the unibrow is gone

Great review. These birds used to do lots of western Europe routes (think BOS-LIS, JFK-EDI, etc) in addition to the transcontinental routes. I'm scheduled to fly one KEF-MSP next year after a cruise, in D1 of course.
I didn't plan it this way, but when I stepped aboard my BOS-ATL flight a few days ago, I discovered it was a 75S!. What an unexpected and nice surprise to have a lie flat seat when I was expecting the regular old domestic first seat. The meal (breakfast) was excellent and Delta accommodated my wife with a really good gluten free meal. UA and AA don't even come close to offering the level of service that Delta does.
Just to correct the video title, this is first class on this route it is not Delta One. While it’s the same cabin/aircraft it’s not sold as the Delta One product and does not include the same service level it’s just domestic First Class with a lay flat seat.
Flying SFO to JFK w/Comfort+ seating on 757-200 75s. Have to select seats tomorrow and can't find much info about best seats except don't sit in rows 18-19 for various reasons-access, chilly, etc. Need to have leg room & easy to get in/out to stretch once an hour. Any suggestions? Thanks! Nice vid!

Oh wow... oh yeah I'd be equally disappointed, did they not even give you the option to switch to another SEA-JFK with D1? Or did they just outright downgrade all the SEA-JFKs to 737s?
On a similar note I had my 752 out of hawaii next month downgraded to a 900ER.
@@ITripReport There is another flight leaving the same day over three hours later still showing the 757, but it doesn't arrive at JFK until about 11:50 p.m. ET. Just too late! My current flight is supposed to arrive at approximately 8:30 p.m. Other dates were also showing the 757, but I can't change my travel dates due to family obligations. So unless Delta switches BACK to the 757, I'm stuck on the 737. On the bright side, I've never flown in First Class, so after this trip, I'll have flown in every single cabin section on a 737!
Personally I prefer United new transcon business class on their 757 and my favourite engine for the 75 is the RR
Their service has been really good, meanwhile American blew it up with project oasis
