I want to thank you for flying Delta and everyone else for their positive comments. I've been an aircraft mechanic at Delta for over 35 years. Delta has provided me and my family with a great life all of these years. So I deeply appreciate your comments! And concerning us Aircraft mechanics that work on the planes everyone flies. Our motto is, would we put our family on that aircraft when we sign off the Airworthiness release? Trust me on this, we work and live by that motto everyday and everytime we touch an aircraft to repair anything on it!!! And we have as aircraft mechanics the power of God when it comes to that plane leaving the gate. We can ground that aircraft without any consequences from management. Management is behind us all the way. That's why I love working at Delta! Safety is job #1 and is never questioned.
Delta recently blew me away, the flight was priced the same as a spirit flight( once u add in that delta lets u have 2 bags for free and spirit charges for all bags) and the headrest movies and tv in the general cabin for free with the new earbuds everytime.. they Lee definitely leading the back currently
@@liftoffandtravel Me and everyone else at Delta really appreciates that. The new aircraft are being delivered quite often, hopefully we will retire the older ones soon.
@@JetTech1966 was also really impressed with how well Delta coped during the pandemic. Your balance sheets seem to be a lot healthier than Americans. Should be a better experience for customers
Jeb, to be fair and transparent, you may want to consider building an itinerary that has you going from JFK to LAX or Vice-versa leaving in the morning on three different days with those three different airlines. By doing this, you give yourself and these three airlines comparable comparisons. JFK-LAX on Delta day one, LAX-JFK on AA, day two, and EWR-LAX on United day three. Now you will really get a true comparison of the three airlines and the service level’s. Well done video!
Came here to write/suggest the same. Can’t compare food objectively when comparing breakfast vs lunch vs dinner. Also, can’t compare a 20 yr old plane to a new one, etc. All that said, you did it in a day and the editing and jovial nature of your reviews is great!
Just NOT on a NEO. If he's going to compare lay flats, that has to be a different (completely different) review. Stick to basic 737-8/900 or anything else in similarity.
Exactly! For those of us that fly often this really isn’t a good broad comparison over all . All of these airlines have certain premium domestic flights , different planes and all of those factors can effect the service.
@Martti Niskanen it seems its generally the norm for domestic 1st class in the US and a few other developed countries (1st world 2nd or 3rd world mmm am not sure as phrases that are generally used anymore). The irony is that some developing countries do have a better product offering.
Pffft, Singapore offered this in business class when flying from NA to SE Asia on their 747s for a long time before this video came out. Domestic first class is basically business class on some airlines in western Europe!
This is what I call reporting, a great comparison between all three major legacy airlines. I wonder how they will stack up internationally, I personally never flown American business class, but I have to say United Polaris is amazing! Great work Jeb, keep it coming!
Nah, they are worse when compared to other international companies. People outside consider American Flight companies as sprint/Ryanair quality level flights.
Because I live near a small Delta hub, I fly Delta almost exclusively. Seeing you do these comparisons helps me realize I'm not missing out on anything. I can fly from SLC to almost anywhere with one or two stops - so I don't see me switching,. It would be an interesting VLOG for you to compare the different FF programs for Alaska, Southwest, American, Delta, and United. I am a loyal Delta person and will hit 2M miles on my next flight - the Delta loyalty program is definitely another factor in choosing who to fly.
@@jakehowie442 then by all means fly Southwest and JetBlue. This video was about American, United, and Delta. My comment was about how being near a hub impacts the airline you fly and loyalty to that airline. Time is also money and I can get most anywhere from SLC on Delta with a single flight or two.
You should do it again....with each airline for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would bet the food and services would be different for the time and date of the flights too. That would be the best comparison.
My first flight was Delta on a Md-88 from DTW-MSY in first class with a friend. Both of us where on standby and got upgraded before departure. And recently I flew Delta again from DTW-LAS. I’m a Delta guy throughly, each time I’ve flown with them it’s been a great experience.
I always fly Delta First Class and use the Delta Sky Lounge with my platinum card. But for domestic travel, some of the First Class seats on Delta from smaller cities feel coach-y. Great point about under the seat storage. I thought it was just me.
It's just cheap of United to want TWENTY first class seats but they won't give a single one of them free soda or coffee. That's why I don't fly first class with US carriers. They demand so much money and give so little in return. I was surprised they still refuse lounge access if you fly first class. I'd laugh if they had the nerve to send me a survey asking why I don't fly first or business class...
To be fair, your AA flight is the only flight that represents AA's direction. United will start refurbishing their narrowbodies with IFEs once the chip shortage is over and as for Delta, their 737-800s are the only ones with that old seat design that causes problems for storage. All of their other fleets have a different seat design.
Someone who went delta on a trifecta of equipment a year ago 1st class (Airbus to Atlanta...737 to atl baby jet direct home) i can vouch for this the new airbusses are night and day from the 737s The baby jets are junk but I was flying on an all nighter to get home early so o could do soccer in the afternoon
I knew Delta was going to come up on top. It's the best domestic airline and can compete with any other airline in the world. As an Atlanta native and resident, Delta makes me proud every time. I can't appreciate the two of you enough. This idea was a real challenge considering the problems plaguing the airline industry post pandemic but you guys executed it beautifully. Kudos! Can't wait for your next vlog🤗.

@@jakehowie442 Having flown with Lufthansa many times it isn’t anything that special and after the rudeness I received during my last trip I will never fly with them again! Delta is every bit as good as they are where most people will be sitting!
I really was looking forward to this video comparison. I’ve flown 5 first class delta flights and 2 AA first class flights in two months. While I did like the IFE on Delta, I found American to be the best. I love your videos!
I've only flown first class once, on Delta from Minneapolis to Milwaukee. Seat 1A. My ticket was an upgrade because the previous day a severe storm shutdown the airport. Was a great experience
United has a total of over 700 planes on order and will start putting one into service every 4 days in 2023. They are also in the process of retrofitting the entire fleet with a new all interior and top of the line IFE. Major upgrades paired with historic aircraft orders is going to push United ahead. Will be interesting to see the comparison between Delta and United once this is all completed.
As a Delta loyalist, I do really like the gigantic IFE screens. But Jeb is right. The under-seat storage is compromised because of it. My backpack has to contort itself to fit due to the big controller box for the IFE.
Another Delta loyalist here, the 737-800 has mediocre seats and tired cabins. I love the seats on the newer aircraft like the A220. I generally avoid Delta 737s.
Another Delta loyalist here as well. It seems Jeb did not have the experience of the person seated in front of him reclining their seat at a rapid rate shortly after takeoff. I have this happen to me quite a bit. This really cuts down on the space in front of you unless you also recline fully.
Delta loyalist here, yes shoving the bag under the seat is not a comfortable thing. In my opinion, that’s the only downside, I’ve never had any other complaints about delta.
Of those three airlines I have only flown 1st class on AA. They have a direct flight from where I live to back home. The flight attendants have always been so nice. I don’t mind there not being a screen on the seat back because I prefer my iPad. The case I have has a stand that fits nicely in the slots on the seat in front of me. I like the warm mixed nuts and it’s even better when they have the cheese and grapes. It was very interesting to see what the other airlines were like. I enjoyed the video very much.
Jeb's videos are the best! The highest, most professional quality. And the most variety, too. He covers it all. This one was another pleasure to watch.
It is inconceivable to me on United to see how little they offer first class. A big seat and extra room is all you’re paying for. No entertainment…no screen…just a magazine? It must be 1999.
Luckily you guys got to have an updated 737-800 on Delta. I flew LGA-FLL-LGA on Oct 5-6th and both times the 800 was the old school IFE that you can barely view anything. They outfitted both of these planes with the new Wifi system so I was able to stream, but that cost is now $25 for the fastest service.
Im suprised they were on a 23 y/o 738 with the new cabin. I was on a 10 y/o delta 738 and it had the old cabin, and it wasnt a well maintained cabin either
A very well crafted video! As cheesy as this may sound, I LOVE seeing you guys traveling together. Also, United is saying all their aircrafts will have up to date IFE by 2025 I believe. Maybe we’ll have to do this video again by the end of the decade 🤔 Side note: Can you make a wide body transcon comparison!? That’d be awesome!
I absolutely love watching your videos Mr. Brooks. As a traveling physician (and budding aviation enthusiast 😬!), each time I board a flight I think about your videos. They are very calming and informative. I want to thank both you and your wife for such amazing content. Please keep up the great work! 😊
@The-Bible-IS-our-salvation Your son is a pilot not a FA. I worked for United for 18 years. I just retired. Io know what is used and what is not used. I never said we use the toilet water. We use the water from the lav . Do you read the signs that say "do not drink this water" mmhmm. You have no clue. Tell me, have you worked as a Flight attendant? You do not know what happens behind the senses. Just word of advice. Do not drink the coffee. Why do you think the crew always has Starbucks?
I took Delta on a round trip from JFK to LAX. I found the first class on that trip included access to their lounges in both airports -- where I was very pleased with the breakfast offerings, as well as the lie flat seats. Although at LAX getting from the lounge to the gate involved a long walk, and a bus ride, and then more walking. The folks who checked me into the lounge told me to allow 20 minutes, and it took me a minute or two longer than that.
@@rayando8086 Yes, Delta One is the only class with lounge access now and I believe only LAX/JFK flights are the only domestic flights that offer it. I remember they sent out an email on that a few years ago.
In my experience, Delta has started using more and more glassware which definitely adds a nice touch to first class, especially on shorter flights where you might not get a chance to experience more of the "premium feel" in first class
Great video! Would love to also see a comparison of the big 3’s “premium transcon”first class offerings. Taking United’s this January to LAX, should be a great time
It was fun to watch this video. I only fly on United. Miles and perks for international travels is good and, as a difference from your experience, I have always found service be very good -attentive. Many years ago I did American international several times which provided a poor experience- never again. I did Delta international twice- it was the worst-never again. Thank you for taking us on your trips.
Can you try coast to coast first class please? I was upgraded on a Delta flight from jfk to sfo once and had a lay flat bed “seat”. It was an amazing experience. And lounge access was included for that length of a trip.
It wasn't really so much about the "length" of the trip. It's a specialized market specific perk in the highly competitive premium JFK/EWR market to LAX/SFO.
One thing to consider.. I recently was on a United flight (economy plus seat) which was delayed and my seat did not have In-Flight Entertainment. We moved onto a different United plane at another gate which DID have IFE and again, I was in Economy Plus. It really all depends on the plane you get.
For my travels, I typically prefer Delta's service and American's planes. In my experience, United's service seemed to deteriorate under Oscar's watch but, maybe with the new CEO, it will improve. Great video!
This was a very satisfying summary. Your cheerfulness through a very long day was refreshing. My wife (ever the planner, and not afraid to pamper herself) switched us to first class flying a few years ago when she turned 70, and I was glad to go along with that. She never steered me wrong! With her passing earlier this year, I don't know how much I'll be traveling in the future, but I think flying first class will stick with me.
Transfers at ORD between UA and AA are a breeze as Terminals 1, 2, 3 are all connected behind security. Delta just moved to T5 so it now involves moving on the light rail and leaving the secure area.
This was a nice trip report to view on the comparison of the Big 3. Today I just flew United today from CHA-SFO via ORD. The first leg on Air Wisconsin I just dozed off in the sardine can of a CRJ200...but The second leg Was on a 787 in Polaris and I too had the same breakfast as you did. I’m in love with that Polaris product. The FAs truly went out their way this morning..including the drink refills.
Is it wild of me to think that not even first class has entertainment systems on these plays but delta has it for every single seat in the whole plane DELTA FOR LIFE 💪💪✅✅
Gotta wonder if United was the dinner flight instead of the breakfast flight if they would have pulled out the win in the Food category and then the overall win/tie. skipping the lounge access, i think what this video showcases is service can be spotty depending on the crew, route, plane type and length of flight. But when you put it all together, they all pretty much offer similar experiences. Great video - enjoyed this!
I’ve never flown domestic first class on United but did on a trip last year with AA and Delta. AA definitely has a cleaner looking product than Delta, but I (just like you) found the in-flight entertainment on Delta a nice touch. Service definitely better on AA for the same reasons you gave.
Another great video. Delta is always my go to airline. Their combination of service, flight availability, clubs, and in-flight meals are generally the best among domestic carriers.
As others have said the proper comparison would be the same route at the same time of day. You would also give us the price of each flight made on the same day and time.
I just flew on United last week from IAD to SFO and back in United Economy Plus. The plane was a 737MAX, and I must say those flight attendants were busy on both flights, they did an excellent job with full cabins both ways. Thanks for the look at all three, and I look forward to more videos!
Great video Jeb and Suzanne. This is a great way to give a true comparison of domestic first class. Love these marathon day videos you produce. Travel safe and see you in the sky😊
9:03: I see you ATL I guess there's reason why Delta is priced a bit higher out of USA's "Big 3." I have flown cross country in their 737-800s and they did a great job modernizing their interior, plus topping it off with the seatback IFE to pass the time.
I fly first class all the time. This is a very useful video. Thanks! I always fly Delta and the flight attendants are usually pretty good. Glad I'm making the right choice. Thanks again for all the videos.
I flew Spirit twice last week from IND -> MCO on their big front seat. I had 6 extra inches of legroom from my feet to the seat in front. The seats were very comfy and the windows were plenty big to look at. Our plane was also very new as it was a 3 year old A320. Wi-Fi was only $6 and the flight attendants were helpful and cheerful. I say all of this because my experience flying Spirit wasn’t much if at all different than the 3 major airlines first class offerings. And the big kicker, I only paid $70 each way. Either the narrative needs to change about Spirit or the major carriers need to up their game with first class. Especially if they are going to continue to charge what they do.
If you want short first class flights, go for United and American first class. For 4+ hour flights, go for Delta first class. It has IFE screens and keeps you entertained. I don’t recommend economy on American for 4+ hour flights and I recommend United for 4 hour flights on Economy. I recommend Delta Economy and First Class for 5+ hour flights on the 737.
I’ve only flew first class on United to jfk and I personally enjoyed it! I was on a much larger plane than the one shown in this video and received amazing service. I’ve always had positive experiences with American, but my only experience I’ve ever had with Delta was despicable! I chose them because of their high ratings but my one and only experience with them left such a bad taste in my mouth, I don’t see myself ever flying with them again.
I had a last-minute work trip, and because it was tourist season at my local airport, work paid for the last seat in first class on American. The flight was delayed coming to my airport, so I got stuck in Dallas. We didn't get dinner on the late flight because it was supposed to be an afternoon flight. My early morning flight from DFW to CLT ended up having breakfast, and I wasn't expecting it. The omelet was really good and I was glad I didn't skip it. Then I ran to the opposite side of the airport like always in CLT, and took a short, small first class to my destination. The same small first class with no real extra service wasn't good. And finally, the flight to my home airport was packed with 30+ people on the first-class waitlist. Jeb and Suzanne do a good job with these videos with a more common person's perspective but a splash of class.
good to hear about Delta. I find their economy product lacking (tight seats, lack of service due to number of seats v staff). Makes sense that as the largest network and most flights, they’d prioritize continued customers like those in premium cabins.
I REALLY miss in flight magazines. As a frequent flier it was nice to have this new touch every month, and was an easy alternative to screens. I hope more airlines bring this back.
Yes, the rumors of lounge access to first class tickets for domestic flights got me. We bought first class domestic seats for the first time. So excited to finally get to see our first lounge at the airport. Nope! You do not get lounge access with a domestic first class ticket. That sucks, cause there is no way we would ever be able to afford international first class tickets. Lol Oh well.
I always fly Delta, they seem to be the most dependable. What bothers me is Delta won't let you use the lounge when you fly first class (domestic) plus I have a Delta card. They want you to get the card that costs $250 a year and then on top of that they want you to pay $39 to get into the lounge!
The price premium between economy and domestic first has significantly declined over the years. As the price difference has come down, costs such as lounge access or deluxe catering got removed.
Great job and idea. I'm a AA flyer and use their Admirals club when traveling. What I like the most is choosing my seats. Suggestion, maybe adding some of that info. I got buddies who prefer Delta so in our group it's either AA or Delta.
Here it is! (watching now) Half way through and already glad Im with Delta. Yup, Delta kills it, big tv, drinks before you even hit the tarmac & those short ribs are still on the menu and still AMAZING.
I guess it depends on the flight. In September, (my first flight since before covid), I flew first class United (DEN to IAH), was on a 777-200 with flat bed seats, pitch 78, sparkling white wine served before take-off. Pre-ordered lunch, which was hot and good, (not great). The video screens were big but had to be because they were far away. I didn't see the flight attendants too often, but enough that I didn't lack for anything. I especially liked the app that followed my checked luggage from check-in through unloading and loading at connections and told me when it got to the carousel, (and its #), where I could pick it up. That was new to me, and with a tight connection I was glad to know the luggage made the plane.
Great video. This is a good comparison of long haul domestic but to rank the three airlines accurately, you’d need to see how the first class experience scales down on the regional flights. There’s a much wider difference when you look at how consistent and premium the experience is from a regional flight all the way up to international.
thank you so so much for taking us through the first class flight of US domestic flight. this is specially so interesting for people who are outside of US to really stay updated with what is happening in US, specially after COVID. Thank you for the detail info, and your video has always been so engaging. Love the positivity ~
I have thought about doing this very same thing. Delta! I’ve been a Delta Fan since I started to fly on there L1011s back in the 80s. Delta Delta ❤️ I do admire Americans device holder and knee room.
As much as I was trying to not be bias, I found myself almost rooting tmfor there to be problems with the other 2 lol. Alas my delta won 😆 although I was disappointed with lack of space under the seats. As a ramp agent for delta, I'm glad we won lol
I recently flew United for the first time and flew Delta for the first time in a long time earlier this year, and I definitely have to give Delta the nod for Economy. The cabin felt nicer they offered a choice of a few different snacks on all flights on Delta. United only offered a small bag of pretzels on one of the three flights (BZN-DEN) and it was the shortest one. The boarding process was also much smoother on Delta. I will definitely give the nod to United in that the Embraer 175 we flew from BZN to DEN was much nicer than the 717s we flew from MSP to CLT and CLT to ATL with Delta. We have three different flights home from Costa Rica with United in a couple days so we’ll see if they do any better… I would appreciate even a small breakfast on our four hour flight from SJO to IAH that leaves at midnight…
I flew AA First Class back in September of this year from BWI to Nassau via Miami (I was expecting via Charlotte, so Murphy rewarded me 😅) and while the food offerings weren’t really breakfast material for me, they were still delicious. Meal service on that route is on the BWI-MIA leg because it’s a 3 hour flight down the East Coast. My mom thought the bread on her Turkey & Cheese sandwich was damp. I thought it was fine. My dad got a fruit plate and wished he’d gone for the Turkey Sandwich. I would rate that BWI-MIA part a solid 17/25 stars on the JebScore (Lounge:0 Seat:4 IFE:5 Food:3 Service:5). If the food options were more like what was offered by United, that would be a solid 5 stars on the food category. If the route was BWI-CLT, then the score would be 15/25 stars (Food -2) based on my personal history. HOWEVER, the rare times we get a meal service on the CLT-NAS leg receive 19/25 stars (Food +2) because they’re such a treat and I love well-concealed surprises. This goes back to when I went First Class for the first time ever back in 2015 on US Airway’s. That was such a surprise and I am so sad US Airways is gone. I wish I could be a customer of them again just to experience their product more.
I think United's is in an interesting position. If you get on a MAX the experience is a bit nicer, great seatback entertainment, bigger windows, and more comfy seats. Also pre-departure beverage is a mixed experience. It is supposed to be back in full force, but I've had some flights with none, some with just water, and some with OJ, Champagne, and water. The other thing when flying United is you don't have to fly with the cabin you had! 757 and 777 are common on the same route with full layflats. The 757 without the layflats is actually incredibly uncommon.
Yes, the UA 757 without lie flats is the norm for the 300 series. They are for busy domestic routes. The 757 with lay flights I believe were from Continental days.
Any plane with seat screens is an automatic winner for me. The amount of kickass movies I watched for my 10 hour flights from London to LA and back last year was great.
I'm surprised you had trouble fitting your bag under the seat with Delta. Normally it's more than enough space for my large backpack.. There's also usually room overhead to put both of your bags.
That's becaude they flew on a 737-800. All of their other narrowbodies, such as their 737-900s, 757s, and Airbuses, will have better storage since they're all newer (refurbished in the case of 757s)
I just flew Delta first class STL to FLL (stopover in ATL) and my wifi was free on all 4 planes. I found the service, comfortableness and timeliness to be great. But you’re very correct about the under seat storage. It wasn’t tall enough. Just short by few inches. The first plane from STL was older as when I got on the second one which was larger, a 757-200 and it flew like butter. It was clearly newer and updated. I could tell just by the tv screens. I’d fly that 757-200 anytime. Compared to the other planes I had to fly there and back, it was very different and way better.
Great video! One thing I love about Delta is that their aircraft cabins have a warm and inviting appearance overall. United and AA's cabins look dour, by contrast.
Hi Jeb and Suzanne! Thank you for uploading this video. This video was very informative! Great to know how the airlines work and the impressions about it! Keep up the great! Best Regards from Florida!
You never disappoint! A truly well made, informative video. Im still at a loss as to why there is no lounge service for domestic first class flights. I've never flown first class, but it is unlikely I will, as a function of value V, cost shown here; at least domestically. But you guys are awesome!
So one big thing you should do when rating the cost of each airline, is that DISTANCE is NOT always directly correlated to the price. When buying a ticket for one leg, you should see what every other airline would be that EXACT leg. I just got a roundtrip, nonstop ticket from LAX to Palm Beach (2,400 miles) on JetBlue for $75 LESS than a roundtrip on Southwest from LAX to SFO (330 miles). I was curious, so I checked them for the exact same days for both locations.
As always Jeb a great vlog Sadly first class in North America is actually just business class The unfriendly skies of United first up Between American and Delta it is a toss up Only problem I find with Delta out of canada is the insane pricing these days Jeb you of all people should know to leave plenty of time between connections That is one think that ticks me off considering what one pays for “ first class” with all 3 airlines you should get lounge access
Hey, a few comments: the use of the term "first class" for domestic premium travel is merely the way the airlines choose to label the product. It is not intended to be better than business class. For example, with United, "first class" refers to any seat in the front of the plane for most domestic flights. "Business class" refers to their shorter-haul international flights (such as flights to Canada and Central America) and then "Polaris Business class" refers to long-haul international flights (to Europe, Asia, Middle East, Oceania and South America). As far as lounge access: the big 3 airlines here consider their lounges to be paid membership lounges rather than a perk for premium class flyers. The lounges are already way too crowded and would be worse if everyone who bought a domestic first class ticket could enter. The only exception to this policy is if you are flying on one of their premium class transcontinental flights (such as between NY and LA). For all three airlines, these flights get more of an international level of service that includes lounge access. Of course if you are flying international business class, or have a certain level of elite status and on an international flight, you also get lounge access.
I think this also depends on having the same length flight. When I traveled from Chicago to Orlando last year, our seats were individual seats like international flights that could lay down. It was amazing service.
Great video as always Jeb & Suzanne! I was surprised to see this comparison coming so close I expected more of a clear winner but I guess it shows that all 3 major US 🇺🇸 Carriers are GREAT!😂😊 Can’t wait to try United someday I’ve still not flown them… 🙄 Happy Halloween 🎃 Cheers 🥂 -Caleb
I have never flown Delta on international flights before. Back then in 2005, when I flown internationally via Detroit, it was Northwest Airlines that I flown on, and it was before Northwest was absorbed into Delta
To truly experience them all I would check out the clubs at the lines' major hubs. Chicago has a ton of United Clubs, Atlanta has good Sky Clubs, etc. It's crucial for business travel. The club food + wifi + good seating really help with frequent travel. I live by those club perks.
My partner recently flew from Montego Bay to JFK. Not the newest of planes but to be fair he was really impressed with the plane and the service 👍✈️
Delta recently blew me away, the flight was priced the same as a spirit flight( once u add in that delta lets u have 2 bags for free and spirit charges for all bags) and the headrest movies and tv in the general cabin for free with the new earbuds everytime.. they Lee definitely leading the back currently

Jeb, to be fair and transparent, you may want to consider building an itinerary that has you going from JFK to LAX or Vice-versa leaving in the morning on three different days with those three different airlines. Yes! My thoughts exactly... this video does not compare correctly
I was going to suggest that too.
Not having in-flight entertainment is just unbelievable. Especially in first class. You get that in coach in 1st world countries.
I was thinking the same! Insane!
@Martti Niskanen it seems its generally the norm for domestic 1st class in the US and a few other developed countries (1st world 2nd or 3rd world mmm am not sure as phrases that are generally used anymore). The irony is that some developing countries do have a better product offering.
In some planes. First class are the first few seats. Nothing like planes in movies where first class is separate from economy.
They had it via the app though
I stayed in China for a long time and i noticed that they have similar flight systems to the US, generally 5hr+flights have in flight entertainment
The hot towel is really an underrated offering for first class
Pffft, Singapore offered this in business class when flying from NA to SE Asia on their 747s for a long time before this video came out. Domestic first class is basically business class on some airlines in western Europe!

This is what I call reporting, a great comparison between all three major legacy airlines. I wonder how they will stack up internationally, I personally never flown American business class, but I have to say United Polaris is amazing! Great work Jeb, keep it coming!
We all know that Jeb Brooks is already finding an itinerary of international flights between the airlines now that you said that!
They don't stack up well internationally...no lounge access...try singapore airlines
Not like sam chui who is getting paid to says good things about airlines product !
Nah, they are worse when compared to other international companies. People outside consider American Flight companies as sprint/Ryanair quality level flights.
@@kkit8629 not in Australia we don't...compared to who...
Do you have the delta credit card?
@@1990Ravens I do, further seals my commitment to Delta. Of course, if I lived someplace else with a different hub airline, I would have that card.
Delta award miles are next to worthless though unfortunately
Delta bum boy, JetBlue and Southwest are better, and a lot cheaper
@@jakehowie442 then by all means fly Southwest and JetBlue. This video was about American, United, and Delta. My comment was about how being near a hub impacts the airline you fly and loyalty to that airline. Time is also money and I can get most anywhere from SLC on Delta with a single flight or two.
I appreciate how fair and thoughtful your reviews are. Also, you and your wife are so pleasant and warm, it's always a treat to see your videos.
You should do it again....with each airline for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would bet the food and services would be different for the time and date of the flights too. That would be the best comparison.

Hello! When was the last time you booked with them ?
My first flight was Delta on a Md-88 from DTW-MSY in first class with a friend. Both of us where on standby and got upgraded before departure. And recently I flew Delta again from DTW-LAS. I’m a Delta guy throughly, each time I’ve flown with them it’s been a great experience.
Delta is by far my favorite! Their lounges are also great if you ever get the chance!

I think Delta Airlines is the best US carrier too.
Great video as always.
Keep it up.
I used to think that too until my just recent experience.
I been flighting united for few years. All there planes are outdated and there is no entertainment on any planes.
Now I’m curious if the fleet is mostly updated by now??
As a Delta loyalist, I do really like the gigantic IFE screens. But Jeb is right. The under-seat storage is compromised because of it. My backpack has to contort itself to fit due to the big controller box for the IFE.
Another Delta loyalist here, the 737-800 has mediocre seats and tired cabins. I love the seats on the newer aircraft like the A220. I generally avoid Delta 737s.
Delta loyalist here also... and Delta won every category in my opinion.
@@sketchyAnalogies 100% agree. The a220s are a game changer.

Delta definitely looks the most inviting I'll use them if I ever find myself traveling domestic in the states, great review Jeb :)
AA flights are always delayed
It is inconceivable to me on United to see how little they offer first class. A big seat and extra room is all you’re paying for. No entertainment…no screen…just a magazine? It must be 1999.
With an iPad, you can download movies and play them on the plane.
I am SO annoyed that we have these crappy old 737’s on LGA-FLL now. I fly this route all the time and it used to be all A321’s!
How big the old IFE screen?
Why do you need wifi? I pre download music, books, movies and even shows
A very well crafted video! As cheesy as this may sound, I LOVE seeing you guys traveling together. Also, United is saying all their aircrafts will have up to date IFE by 2025 I believe. Maybe we’ll have to do this video again by the end of the decade 🤔
Side note: Can you make a wide body transcon comparison!? That’d be awesome!
I absolutely love watching your videos Mr. Brooks. As a traveling physician (and budding aviation enthusiast 😬!), each time I board a flight I think about your videos. The United 757-300 has been my favorite ever since the merger. Just flew SFO-ORD on Monday. Excellent crew and service.
As a former flight attendant for UAL (18 years). NEVER DRINK THE COFFEE. We use the water from the LAV, it's ick.
Are you serious?! Ugh!
@The-Bible-IS-our-salvation Your son is a pilot not a FA. I worked for United for 18

Flew out of LAX in delta and we hat to shuttle bus on the tarmac to our planes at another terminal
You were probably on Delta One instead of First Class since I believe D1 provides lounge access (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
@@rayando8086 Yes, Delta One is the only class with lounge access now and I believe only LAX/JFK flights are the only domestic flights that offer it. I remember they sent out an email on that a few years ago.
LAX is a mess because of on-going construction for the olympics... in a decade? Itll be a mess for a long while
In my experience, Delta has started using more and more glassware which definitely adds a nice touch to first class, especially on shorter flights where you might not get a chance to experience more of the "premium feel" in first class

It's not a question of trip length. JFK-SFO is a domestic Delta One route. Just because a flight has a lie-flat doesn't make it Delta One.
Former United Employee. New CEO sucks.
Great flight report as always!!! I've flown lots of times but never three planes in one day!!! Outstanding!!! Hello from Argentina....
Is it wild of me to think that not even first class has entertainment systems on these plays but delta has it for every single seat in the whole plane DELTA FOR LIFE 💪💪✅✅
I find it strange that this United flight didn’t every United flight I’ve ever been on bar maybe 2 have had that
Gotta wonder if United was the dinner flight instead of the breakfast flight if they would have pulled out the win in the Food category and then the overall win/tie. skipping the lounge access, i think what this video showcases is service can be spotty depending on the crew, route, plane type and length of flight.

I guess there's reason why Delta is priced a bit higher out of USA's "Big 3." I have flown cross country in their 737-800s and they did a great job modernizing their interior, plus topping it off with the seatback IFE to pass the time.
Thank You Mr. Jeb, You are Now My New go to before I travel. I really appreciate You taking your time to make this video. I also subscribed.
Great job Jeb and Suzanne, this is a very well made video and has good information on each airline.
I knew Delta would win! I love them because even coach is comfy and well serviced.
As always a great review! Love watching your videos; you have a knack for doing them. So does your wife. Both of you always smiling!
Delta has been my favorite for over 30 years!
Thank you. We are flying delta first class in a few weeks. Can’t wait!
I think it would be really cool if y’all did a first class comparison for dinner on all three of these airlines across 3 different days.
Just flew on united first class. Breakfast wasn't bad dinner was awful
good to hear about Delta. I find their economy product lacking (tight seats, lack of service due to number of seats v staff). Makes sense that as the largest network and most flights, they’d prioritize continued customers like those in premium cabins.
Like you Jeb I really miss the inflight magazine ‘SKY’ on Delta whom I fly regularly. The route maps and fleet info were the highlight.
I REALLY miss in flight magazines. As a frequent flier it was nice to have this new touch every month, and was an easy alternative to screens. I hope more airlines bring this back.
Hey Elise! When was the last time you booked with Delta First Class ?
Yes, I liked the inflight magazine on UA. A blast from the past.
Lol
Oh well.
We love Delta! Direct flights from MSP to Jamaica and Cancun can't be beat.
You are so lucky for seeing both a 747 and and A380 while leaving O'hare
agree
I'm here for Delta
Others may not notice, but Jeb, I love watching your videos to see what watch you are wearing each time and today did not disappoint. Love it!

My new favorite page on TH-cam looking forward to see what you and Suzanne do this year GOD BLESS YALL BOTH
I recently flew United for the first time and flew Delta for the first time in a long time earlier this year, and I definitely have to give Delta the nod for Economy.
Right, there's one bin for each pair of seats. When the bin allows bags on their side, I've had no problem storing 2 bags and 2 backpacks up there.
That's becaude they flew on a 737-800. All of their other narrowbodies, such as their 737-900s, 757s, and Airbuses, will have better storage since they're all newer (refurbished in the case of 757s)
Fake drama
I just flew Delta first class STL to FLL (stopover in ATL) and my wifi was free on all 4 planes. I found the service, comfortableness and timeliness to be great. But you’re very correct about the under seat storage. It wasn’t tall enough. Just short by few inches. The first plane from STL was older as when I got on the second one which was larger, a 757-200 and it flew like butter. It was clearly newer and updated. I could tell just by the tv screens. I’d fly that 757-200 anytime. Compared to the other planes I had to fly there and back, it was very different and way better.
Hello Captain! Please when was the last time you booked with First class on their airline ?
Great video! One thing I love about Delta is that their aircraft cabins have a warm and inviting appearance overall. United and AA's cabins look dour, by contrast.
To be fair, United's MAX cabins look very inviting too, and once the chip shortage is over, United will start retrofitting the rest with that cabin

You never disappoint! A truly well made, informative video. Im still at a loss as to why there is no lounge service for domestic first class flights. I've never flown first class, but it is unlikely I will, as a function of value V, cost shown here; at least domestically. But you guys are awesome!
Do 1st class for a bday trip...thats always worth it!
@@mikew.6488 I think you are right!
As always Jeb a great vlog
Sadly first class in North America is actually just business class
The unfriendly skies of United first up
Between American and Delta it is a toss up
Only problem I find with Delta out of canada is the insane pricing these days
Jeb you of all people should know to leave plenty of time between connections
That is one think that ticks me off considering what one pays for “ first class” with all 3 airlines you should get lounge access
Wow! I have never flown first class….but it’s on my bucket list! 😃
God I love these First Class Reviews, Keep Up The Hard Work.
Gin n tonic my favorite drink! Love the videos! I knew Delta would pull through!!
You know youve made it in life when you book first class on 3 airlines just to have meals ☠
I think this also depends on having the same length flight. When I traveled from Chicago to Orlando last year, our seats were individual seats like international flights that could lay down. It was amazing service.
Great video as always Jeb & Suzanne!
I was surprised to see this comparison coming so close I expected more of a clear winner but I guess it shows that all 3 major US 🇺🇸 Carriers are GREAT!😂😊
Can’t wait to try United someday I’ve still not flown them… 🙄 Happy Halloween 🎃
Cheers 🥂

I have never flown Delta on international flights before. Back then in 2005, when I flown internationally via Detroit, it was Northwest Airlines that I flown on, and it was before Northwest was absorbed into Delta
Delta is far better than any other major US airline!
Not really
To truly experience them all I would check out the clubs at the lines' major hubs. Chicago has a ton of United Clubs, Atlanta has good Sky Clubs, etc. It's crucial for business travel. The club food + wifi + good seating really help with frequent travel. I live by those club perks.
