Great video! I can’t wait to try out Delta’s A321neo. Apparently, there will be a 2nd aircraft configuration with lie-flat seats in the front cabin.
Lol 4:12 definitely sounds like the pilot is excited for the new a321neo. Like a kid in a candy store haha
That Airspace cabin does look amazing btw! The mood lighting is a major Plus
American Airlines should watch this to see how a real first class breakfast meal is....

11:03 LoL, first world problems. DUDE....it's nothing to be shaking your head at. First people complain that the IFE screen doesn't tilt, AND THEN now that it does, people complain it gets in the way of the tray table. Easy fix - un-tilt the screen, put the tray table down, tilt screen back....voila! Not a problem in the least ;-)
I'm not a frequent flyer,certainly not on Delta--last flights I had with them was well before the pandemic, TUS-ATL-IAH,flown in Dec of '14 on an MD-90 and MD-88 respectively. This A321 is seemingly galaxies technology-wise, removed from the MD's!

I haven't flown Delta in a long time, memory serves me it would have been in the late 1970s. But I have flown a lot of other airlines and have been enjoying your trip reports for a very long time. At first I noticed that you were a U of M student, that convinced me to become a regular subscriber as I graduated from there back in 1967. I live in Nova Scotia.

Love the NEO of Delta! XFW seem to have a bunch awaiting tests and delivery, 5004, 5005, 5006 and 5008 seem to be the ones. maybe 5007 will soon be pop up on AIB family flights

Overall how would you rate the chia pudding on a scale of 1-10? It looked pretty good.
The only thing I don’t like are those PW GTF engines. I wish they’re CFM LEAPs (given their A321ceos have CFMs & newer-built A330s have GE CF6s). CFMs do sound *WAY* better than PW GTFs imho
Otherwise, I think Delta is the best overall when it comes to domestic flights. Asian viewer here

Weird, I thought I was already subscribed to u. Love ATL. Lived there from 2001 to 2011. Airport was way too far from my house and too much traffic but overall awesome.

Nope, no leg or foot rest unfortunately
I plan to fly their A321 NEO from Boston -> San Francisco at the end of August in Economy, so I'm really excited to try out the new product myself! Thanks for the amazing Trip Report as always!
It won’t disappoint you. I flew the inaugural flight from bos-sfo too in regular economy and it had a good amount of legroom in it

flying a HA A321 Neo to Hawaii next week and super nervous and anxious! Any tips and is this plane very smooth and comfortable first class are they the same delta and HA?
I know that DTW also has DO&CO catering as well as BOS, I think the third airport might be either ATL or LAX

Really liked your review. United and Delta are the only airlines I will fly. Not a big airbus fan but that is a nice looking plane and the service seemed great. Also they greased the landing! Lol

Legacy carrier's are clearly dividing the haves and the have not's! The new seats airlines are putting in the front of the planes look very unwelcoming. The time is coming where not everyone will be able to afford to fly on legacy carriers. Thanks, but no thanks I'll stick with the avelo's of industry!

Yes that’s the plan I believe.

Hello! When was the last time you booked with delta airline ?
I love the Delta lets you order whatever you want as your PDB rather than limiting you to 1 or 2 options.
The need to adjust your screen to access or stow away your tray table is not a design flaw lol. Do you also consider it a design flaw when you have to stow away your tray table before exiting your seat ? There is only so much room on an airplane and you have to optimize every inch.
Is it just me or does this new sidewall look like it was copied from Boeing’s newer 737 sidewall?
I wish someone could show the bulkhead in first class on the A321 neo

I'm flying first class in 6 days from Las Vegas to Atlanta but my ticket just says A321. Should it say NEO?
No, unless it says A321neo, you’ll be on one of their A321s which aren’t as modern as the NEO, but still offer a rather good product!

Probably to match their A220s, which the A220 is only available with PW.

New overhead bins like I saw on JetBlue's A321neo. The new bins are much bigger and allow vertical stacking of luggages
I wish that Delta would operate in Europe - I think that they would crush the miserable service that we receive in Europe, with planes with no leg space and the possibility to recline the seats, besides bad food or no food at all!...all that compared with Delta excelent food it turns the thing even more desapointing regarding European companies

Those croissants are so buttery and good! LOL I had one last year on my SEA trip.
I can think of a better way to enjoy sitting in first class yes I understand it cost a lot of money to sit in that area but it's going to be me sitting there someday

Yeah you need to ask the FA, no option to request it on screens. Delta is very good at walking around doing refills though

I flew the inaugural flight from BOS-SFO in regular economy. Needless to say, it was a very good experience and I love the new A321 neo and hope I can try the new first class too

Flew on American Airlines A321Neo last week from Miami to Lima. Would have traded my "business" seat for any of these Delta economy seats...

@@brandondesean not really... We had to go back after leaving the gate because they forgot to load the wheelchair of a disabled person (obviously it's super important, but how did they forget that...).
And when it was loaded, well let's wait again because they forgot some people luggage
Food on-board was really bad, customer service horrendous. boarding itself also was catastrophic (they waited to start the onboarding to call some of us for passport checks, when the employee was there for the past 40 minutes)
I made it to Lima at least...
It was only my 2nd time with a US airline (1st with Delta, 2nd here)
I was complaining all the time about some of our European companies... I guess you guys have the same issues !

That would never happen in the near future, 737-900ER are mostly Caribbean and Latin America routes

Beautiful new product, everything seems outstanding The 1 thing is the terrible leg space. I think it’s common among the big 3 Airlines, but domestic first class has abysmal leg space. It still looks cramped like economy to me, at least provide 3” for First* class passengers.

Were the flawed lavatories designed by a 3rd party like the MAX lavatories (the MAX lavatories were designed by Collins, not Boeing) or were they na Airbus in-house design?

Yesterday I flew from SJD to LAX on a 23-year-old United 737-800 and it had the original IFE screens. They were old and outdated but at least it had them. Pay attention AA!❤️✈️
You can sometimes, but rarely get them along with retrofitted seats, like I got in 2019 IAH-ORD
AA doesn’t care about us customers

Do you think Delta would be able to fit these seats 2+2 in narrower fuselages like 737 and A220 without altering anything?
The A220 definitively no, the 737… I’m not sure actually. My guess is they’ll end up reducing the width of the central armrest? I just don’t see this fitting on an A220 though
@@ITripReport it could fit if they go 1-2 or 2-1, maybe even 1-1. Less weight longer range

I've only had the chance to see the airspace cabin on the JetBlue London plane I got a media tour of. It looks amazing, and I can't wait to fly Delta's version of them! Always great to have you reviewing something up here in Boston!

I love how the tray hitting the tv is advertised as a design flaw when you can just easily push the screen forward. 🫠
