The reason CM does not offer Wifi is because the antenna on the top of the fuselage would create too much drag and can cause fuel problems on long flights like Montevideo or San Francisco. Before the MAX, the -800 sometimes needed to stop for fuel in Cancun or other places to continue the journey to SFO. As for the IFE, I have no idea why they got rid of it, I personally only use it for the map and flight details, but even having it there and not doing anything just makes me feel more comfortable. I flew Copa Airlines in Premier Access Business Class in June 2024 from AUS-PTY-LIM on their 737-800 aircraft.
I would assume the pilot would have activated the strobing light on the wingtips. .
