- Massive steel delivery at Giga Nevada for High-Volume Tesla semi factory.
It is finally kicking into gear!
This means I will increase frequency of flights. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
This is what we've been waiting for. Grading is all well and good, but actual building materials on sight is something else entirely.
I AGREE, great to see all that stuff. Getting time to lite the fuse - it will go up super fast, China mode!
Wow! Things are afoot. Nice to see. Thanks for the view brother. God bless and hope you had nice fourth.
Thank you too
Very exciting. Very much looking forward to your documentation of this. My guess is that Tesla will be very structured in the build approach to this project.
You and me both!
The semi will be a game changer. Especially if they can convoy with it.
Anyone who doesn't like the current range; remember this is the first version of the truck.
Great news! So glad to see the steel on site. Thanks for the update, Zane!
Just found you and yes now that pace is picking up, will look forward to see the progress with your drone flights. 👍👏
YES! Up the frequency please. Will thoroughly enjoy seeing this grow from this early stage.
Send in the drones! 😅
Additionally, who is keeping a watch on the "Megachargers" development? These are the Superchargers specifically designed for Tesla Semis.
I think once a week would be fine, until things get much busier.
WooHoo! Keen for your drone flying career to take off! Excited to follow along, Greatly appreciate the effort of keeping us up to date!
Cheers!
Let's get these trucks out there! 🚛💨
Let's hope they go into "Chinese mode" on the build.
Teratx took 14 months from July of 2020 during the height of the pandemic with insane site prep&grading required. To go from gravel traps to pumping out the world's first 4680 powered structural battery pack equipped dual casting model Y in Sep of 2021.
What's sucked is the continous building there with not much in the way of ramping up. And gigalin is just as damn bad!
It's insane to me the decades old much smaller gigamont legacy leftover ice plant does more volume right now, than teslas 2 newest largest most efficient automated ev only ground up factories SMDH.
Wtf happened to tesla speed Elon? Gigahai went from muddy farmers field to first pre prod model 3s in 9 damn months back in 2019. Elon handing the first keys off in 11 months from the ground breaking. And that plant alone has already made almost half of ALL teslas sold! 🙂
@@4literv6 Are you gigatarded?
Geotechnical Engineer here: expect concrete pad with strip foundations for most of this building. Perhaps more specialized foundation areas for unusual applications (extra high weight or vibrations).
Thanks!
Main Factory built for seismic loads. Would assume this building would be the same.
There's a paper detailing this available that is worth the read.
Hell yeah
Must be so fun to be part of Tesla turbo growth.
Thanks. Good news
Great stuff! I know you like Joe’s Gigatexas videos. The main difference between his and yours is that he edits his. He first edits the video to take out those abrupt camera movements, and then he adds narration in chunks, perhaps saying the same thing a few times to get rid of misstatements and memory pauses.
While that may be true the most important part is the existence of the narration itself. Even poor narration is orders of magnitude better than none. Reasonable narration not only identifies and describes what is being shown but also draws attention to things that might have been missed. I don't bother wasting my time, for example, on Jeff Robert's Giga Texas, Wu Wa's Shanghai or any of the German poster's videos. Without narration they are basically just relatively meaningless pretty pictures with no understanding of what anyone is seeing.
One sign of Joe's professionalism is that he plans his flyover route for a logical sequence that does not include a bunch of repeat footage. When the narration takes longer he hold the POV longer to match. Now, Joe has just upped the ante by posting short videos detailing specific subjects with historical clips of their development and change over time (narrated of course).
Shifting into 2nd gear soon.
Thanks for these videos. I am hopeful we get to constructing at old style rates and get this project producing.
Thank you so much for the video.
Excited to see groundbreaking on the structure!!
The factory is built in a desert area. How can supplies be transported cheaply and administrative costs significantly reduced?
I hope they build redesigned and significantly upgraded high-speed transportation networks and infrastructure (such as underground unmanned high-speed rail and drone corridors/underground unmanned power stations and substations/underground communication facilities and fully automated logistics transfer centers) and speed up construction, Otherwise, Musk's vision of significantly expanding production capacity will be difficult to realize in the next few years.
It looks like Tesla has a number of job listings for various construction and construction management positions for the semi factory.
Good intel. Thanks for sharing
Show de documentário adorei seu trabalho sucesso no aguardo dos próximos ah amo e aprecio tudo que nosso milagre está fazendo em prol da preservação da humanidade isso não tem preço sem palavras
Probably spread footings as it is located on a mountain that provides a rock base.
Maybe Tesla will go with a tilt up method for the semi factory. If so, it should go pretty quick.
They will set a lot of the equipment during construction before closing the building.
My understanding is they can’t install production lines until final permits. I saw the prototype factory lines at the Pepsi delivery event. Most important component are the bridge cranes.
My guess for foundation style would be very similar to whatever was used on the other buildings on the site.
Maybe phased Cert of occupancy with separation walls like Starbase.
Cheers
Thank you sir for the update. Where is my favorite reggae music please?
I don’t like reggae, I love it. I will keep it but lower volume and figure out how to fade it.
You can go on Google Earth and measure the area that was formerly used for the warehouse on wheels and guesstimate that 1/3 to 1/2 of the total area will be the semi factory. You might be able to find plans and/or permits @ the local building department.
I’ve tried the latter. Building department is not sharing what should be public information. So far. Ill try again.
@@ZaneglerTeslaSemiStalker-vt3or Have you tried searching their online permit portal? I think you should be able to do a minimal search with a site address or parcel numbers if you can find that information. Some of the guys following the Giga Texas construction are finding permits online.
Nice work. What kind of Drone are you flying?
Yahoo !
Where is Redwood compared to all this? Thanks
Redwood Materials has a facility next to the airport in Carson City, about 25 miles away.
@@jameshoffman552 Oh or some reason I thought it was right next door. Thanks very much!
@@jameshoffman552 The Carson City Headquarters is closer to 50 miles away. But the Tahoe Recycling Campus is in McCarran, NV and only 9 miles away. Edit: Or rather, public access is 9 miles. Looks like there is a private road that is much shorter.
yes, GigaTexas is not 'stable ground'. Even Starbase in south Texas isn't, both need pillings due to teh strata. Do we know how GigaNavada was done for moundations? I don't remember.
Congrats. Finally you can do what you intended from the beginning. I bet Tesla will deliver big time, because when Elon has put the pedal to the metal on a project, things are moving superfast. Per in Denmark 😎🇩🇰 Wonder if you are allowed to fly over the site, or the flyover is a no go, and you only have to film from the distance and one angle only like this video?
What equipment is parked on the far side of the leveled area?
That loud noise when you flip slides is really annoying in headphones. I keep thinking something is happening around the house until I remember you add that. Ugg
If you want your drone recording series to work,
you'll have to work hard to improve the
recording plots.
As shown in this video, it's absolutely uninteresting.
The clever one is inspired by the wonderful Joe
Tegtmeyer with his Giga Tesla Update videos.
What’s the difference between bi-weekly and twice a week?🤔
I use bi-weekly as generally understood to be every other week. www.grammarly.com/blog/biweekly/
Y'know getting workers for Giga Nv must be REALLY easy because if you look at the map>>>
1-Nevade casinos nearby
2-9mi west is the Mustang Ranch.
!
wee. it begins. constructive criticism: the cut from the audio was a bit abrupt. can you fade the music out as your voice comes in?
I would guess about 18 months to Cert. of Occupancy and 24 months to production assuming they have the supply chain orders in place.
With regard to the size, there's no compulsion to build on the whole footprint.
They could construct 50%, get the first lines running, then complete the structure?
(Maybe they'll stick a smaller "Unboxed" line in for a "side project" like the Roadster?
(That's the next rumour planted 😉)
Why are they building a freestanding factory for the Semi truck instead of building out the gigafactory next door, which is only 30% complete ?
Wow Elon isn't back more than a couple weeks now this hmmmmm🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Nothing to do with it.
This is simply timing the pieces of the puzzle to be ready at the same time.
The same is happening in China with the "Megappactory" being constructed 1 km from the new CATL factory now ramping for Q1.
The MegaPactory is essentially a "Shed", so fast to build.... No money spend and sitting idle waiting.
