Robovan at Giga Semi?
มุมมอง 6K21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Is the robovan the 'one other thing' that Tesla will be building in the Giga Semi factory. Take a look at the entrance to the building that is taking shape and the uncanny resemblance to the Robovan outline. We know Tesla is known to include Easter eggs in many of it's past renderings. What do you think? Can a viewer find the specific quote where Tesla said that this new, separate factory would...

Tesla Semi Easter Egg Hunt, American Flag, & a Tree
มุมมอง 2.3K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
This is five minutes of flying around the Tesla semi pulling overwatch duty to see if there happens to be another Easter egg. I notice a tree, which for the high-desert of Nevada is something. It is not unusual to see Cottonwoods, but they are usually near a water-source like the Truckee or canals and ditches. At the end, we see the American flag flying in the brisk zephyr.
Final Giga Semi Drone Video 4 2024
มุมมอง 9K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Excellent detail of the stamping pit at the end of the video. I would love to be a fly on the wall inside the building to see what progress is being made there. If anyone at Tesla can authorize a tour I am sure it would break the internet. For 2025, we can follow the progress of the stamping building and see production equipment being delivered and brought into the building.

Are they going to be stamping frame rails?
Thanks you for video, fantastic, from Malaga Spain.
Roofing seems bumpy. 🤔
I wonder if the guard semi is on Sentry Mode.
Cheers Zanegler, much appreciated as always mate! If the Stamping foundations are anything like GigaTexas, then the foundations have concrete "ceilings" (you can see the right-angle rebar and wooden forms for the concrete pour) and the presses are installed on top. The scrap from the stamping process is removed from the stamping machines and does not fall below the presses. Interesting idea about using existing suppliers while bringing the new plant online. But (and it's possibly a big one), that idea is predicated on the new Semi, being the same as the current version. My guess would be that won't be the case, Tesla do not seem wedded to whatever has gone before. We Know Elon has a clean sheet design philosophy, so with a new custom factory and the opportunity to keep innovating, I'm expecting further changes/optimisations.
No skylights: paint booth?
THANKS ZANEGLER 🤗 FOR THE UPDATE ⚡️⚡️⚡️
How many speed transmission? :)
Good to see. Thanks
Hopefully, we'll see the east wall next time. And the roofing. Good job!
🤗THX ZANEGLER FOR THE UPDATE 💚💚💚
6:07. As mentioned in a previous video by @ZachGrady, part of the 'stamping press' footings extend past the west boundary of the already constructed factory. Clearly visible in the render also. Above at 6:07 a line of 3 column locations visible on the same alignment as the west boundary. This covered chamber would be for scrap removal conveyors, maintenance access, utilities etc. The open section of roof would be some sort of elevator/conveyor to bring the scrap to the surface. 2 small structures are visible in the render above this chamber. The stamping press location likely the area under construction to the right, currently without walls. Watch the Munro Cybertruck factory tour video to see how a stamping press system works. Video title 'Tesla Manufacturing: See how the Cybertruck HFS Panels are Blanked, Bent, and Built!' The video starts with the scrap removal system. Shows a hot stamping line, as well as a regular stamping line. Shows how the dies are moved in and out of the presses at ground level on trolleys known as bolsters.
Good show and reasonable assumptions.
as an aside, I notice in a July Google Maps street view shot, Tesla Semi unloading into a contracted space at Novo Logistics www.google.com/maps/@39.5468877,-119.4520733,3a,15y,306.87h,87.34t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1shyySJAtJL37ejwtnJHaqoA!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D2.6580421104628584%26panoid%3DhyySJAtJL37ejwtnJHaqoA%26yaw%3D306.87187745867516!7i16384!8i8192?authuser=0&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDExMC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
COUPLE MORE MONTHS AND IT WILL BE HAMMER TIME!
😊
Amazing video I am wondering because of the size of the stamping machines will they install them before they put a roof on the building and if so will we be getting to watch a video of that process?
After construction is complete would be likely.
Thank you for the much improved videos!! Much appreciate.
I'm glad you are enjoying them. I aim to improve production quality as the audience grows.
@ Im happy the massage music is kept to a minimum 😅😘
Zangler. I worked for Wichita State University. I ran the shock and vibration. Yes this pit system is called a "reaction mass". We had a sled that tested airplane seat designs. Every time we used it the guys in the labs hot a bit out of shape do to the vibrstions effecting the electron microscopes.
Thank you for this. I really think the input from viewers is one of the best things about these videos.
😎👍
Zengler, they are ptobably compensating for the ground leveling. They had to dig to the original (stable) ground level
I agree.
👋👍
The stamping facility will use relativerly little wiring compared tho the rest of the line where machienery is much smaller and needs higher density of wiring, and many machines fit on to a small footprint. It's my guess that all will come online within a relatively short time span.
In Austin the stamping section foundations construction went on for months if not years. It's fascinating work. Any word on the tonnage of the presses going in?
Interesting to compare the progress here with the footage Jeff Roberts took at Giga Texas… from about this video, onwards th-cam.com/video/nLYXWNph22A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=asKhXamfRsbChm_h
Really appreciate your hard work. Thanks
Appreciate that!
What is your guess at start of production? Sometime in the next 6 months or more end of the year? Thanks.
9 month gestation period. 😂😎
I just filmed a Tesla semi out here in San Diego on the freeway!! Check it out 🔥🔥🔥🔥
There was a Tesla semi in San Diego this morning I filmed a short on it check it out!!
Post the link. I can’t find it. What color? Tesla white or SAIA branded?
@ White not sure what company but it is branded DOT we can look it up
You should start the timeline when Tesla revealed the Semi in 2017... and also include all Elon's timelines about it for the full picture. This has sadly been a back burner project at Tesla when it clearly does more to "accelerate the transition to sustainable energy" than 10,000 mile leases of their passenger vehicles.
I don’t disagree that it took seemingly forever for the pilot line to produce and test the design and for the go-ahead on the Giga Semi design. Once they started though it’s going at plaid speed
What a timeline of progress! Thank you!
You are welcome. Thank you for watching.
Dang Aug 26 to now and they got most of the outershell of the building down, besides over the stamping press area.
Fasr Track, thy name be Tesla
That is the way they work!
Show essa retrospectiva gostei muito nos detalhes es incrível
Glad you liked it.
What is the musical piece, please?
Hello Zanegler, Do you know if the glass panels have been installed in the windows or if they are still totally open?
Totally open. I will keep an eye out for this and do a 9X zoom on my next flight
@ZaneglerTeslaSemiStalker-vt3or thank you 😊
Nice vid.
I've worked on various projects of this type of building in the UK, that is very quick compared to what I've seen personally...
Wild Guess how many months before it's finished?
Do their roofs leak? Do their bathrooms stop functioning weekly? Do their AC units drip condensation on the equipment inside? Yes, Tesla is fast at making things "look" complete. They then spend years fighting the problems they created.
@@TheLastMoccasin I get what you're saying about the cars but these are contractors doing their job
Thanks so much - fantastic work and appreciated much!🌿
👋👍
The stamping foundation had to be placed upon bedrock which is why they dug a pit. I am guessing they will now pour layer upon layer of concrete to bring the floor up to ground level. Otherwise the employees will have to venture down into the pit to work each day. Would that be safe during a fire? People having to climb out? !
The stamping presses are located at ground level. The dies are shifted in and out of the presses at grade. The chambers below grade/ground level are for scrap removal conveyors, utilities, maintenance, and the press isolation system. Check out the Munro Cybertruck factory tour video to see how the system works. Video title 'Tesla Manufacturing: See how the Cybertruck HFS Panels are Blanked, Bent, and Built!' The stamping presses at GT are constructed on compacted fill in an old sand and gravel mine, beefed up with compacted gravel geo-piers.
Have you noticed the simi overlord truck is wearing California tags? Most trucking co will register their trucks where it is advantageous. Is California advantageous over Nevada? Or Texas? Perhaps there is a ZERO emissions credit Ca offers. !
Actually it looks like a lot of the grid and other electrical substructure is underground. This substation does have one transformer, but apparently no backup. Here, this small megapack may just be supporting the MV power side to the factories. Is there another obvious feed from this substation to the Giga-Nevada factory? I would think that the Giga-Semi factory would at the very least double power requirements at the site (maybe even add much more than that). There is a whole lot more to know about to understand the power supply requirements and, consequentially, the electrical infrastructure here. Maybe there are permits available on line that describe these things. Perhaps this is just a beginning and the power utilities in the area have more work to do. Nevertheless, thank you, Zanegler, for exploring the utility sides of the factories there! These give viewers a much better understanding of what is going on.
Love to see it. Thank you.
Found you from Brian's channel! Thanks for all the work! Love the drone progress shots of factories! =-)
Great analysis, thank you! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Typical power line in cities carries 5 to 30 kV, which can deliver tens to hundreds of megawatts. I'm no expert but seems likely there is plenty of capacity in the lines coming into the factory and for charging infrastructure they will need for all those new semi's. Especially since it's right next to substation likely those lines could be on the high end of capacity.
the problem with this scenario is that when silver is 100$ burgers will cost 33$
🤗THANKS ZANEGLER FOR THE UPDATE ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Will they be using solar on their facilities? Power needs may be increased once they do possibly.
