I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.
Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.
I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock. Nothing I say constitutes as investment or financial advice.

I worked for Solar City in 2013 and when I was recruited to work there I spent an entire day researching Elon Musk. Solar City was being run by Elon's cousin but the mission and vision has been the same. I will give you one important example of how Elon Musk is great and different than Warren Buffett. When Warren Buffet bought Nevada Power In Las Vegas the first thing he did was increase the KW price per hour and the reason was for transmission of power. Instead of try to work and convert every house into solar his company Nevada Power made it difficult for the customers to get the net metering set up on their house so they couldn't start generating their own power. Elon's focus seems to also be for the better of the world and environment and society as a whole versus only about making the most money. He's the Greatest Man in USA and the world History.

I like to listen to Elon, he has good opions on many subjects, yet e cars are a Desaster both for ppl who drive them (e-smog) and Environment. He shld have developed cars which runs with free energy or water. All is already there. But well....be may not be alive than.

Hahaha your not thinking deeply enough yes it will....in the future all building will be prefabricated by machines and assembled by machines with little human oversight....have you seen the new lay out bots ? And as a handyman home improvement carpenter....people won't spend the money on that in the future new housing will eventually be so cheap that people won't waste lots and lots of money fixing up old homes. It might not be in your lifetime depending on how old you are but they will take your job 100% prefabricated buildings are coming

A good test for Optimus will be to give the robot an item from IKEA and have the robot complete the assembly using the IKEA “picture book” instructions. The challenge will be to see how fast it can do it.

Ruth, as a 70 yo soon I applaud your 10 share. I have equally meager shares at 23 with a buy order in when the price drops to 167 for one more. My shares are for my grandsons retirement. I looked up KO shares since IPO and one share would be over 9000 now. And I am optimistic that TSLA will be significantly higher share count by that time in their life. Yay! A good meeting. I almost felt like it was 2014 again - things were very optimistic for Tesla and Elon back then. And thank god Shareholders (including me) voted in favor of Elon’s previously approved stock payment plan. If anyone deserves it, it’s Elon Musk.

I have now owned a Tesla with 13.6 for a week. I’ve used it every day and had three scary disengagement moments. They have all been lane split or merge situation where the car was getting scary close to a car in the other lane and still moving in the direction of the other car, closing the gap, rapidly. In two of those instances the “proximity alert” was going off and the car was still moving towards the other car. I love Elon and have been a big TSLA investor for 6 years, but I am very disheartened that my first hand opinion is that while FSD 13.6 is pretty amazing, it is not close to being ready.
Thank you for the information, I believe everyone should know about your experience. As an investor, which I am not, it is your responsibility to make sure this is common knowledge. My mother I sold timeshare together in Vail. It was our responsibility to make sure we informed our customers of how much timeshare had changed. We made sure people were never to have to worry about the old timeshare experience, and we changed the way people vacationed.
As a shareholder why not be a representative of what is really gping, or change what he is doing by demanding shareholder meetings, insyead of having a totalitarian company where there are no checks and balances.
Those that can, should, ypu are to be the speaker for those that can not speak fpr this company, you should as a shareholder, you are owners of this company, if you allow this than you will regret losing not just your money but ypur pride, and you have made the first brave comment I have seen, the world is watching us all countries of the world are watching us, as Americans we are known for breaking the mold, it is now in the shareholders hands to step up to plate and take care of your business. This is why he says at the beginnen he's the biggest optimist out there. His vision will come true probably. Just add a couple of years on any statement he makes and it will give you a better time schedule. Same as the numbers he's giving, they are off. While he is working on multiple things at the same time, other companies are not sitting still, and in the timespans we are talking here, they can innovate too and take over marketshare just like he's planning to do in the future.
I take all these predictions with a grain of salt ;)
But i do think (and hope) it's possible for him to reach most of his goals.

@@thePlum lol thats why id send them, no threat to humans. At least we could map out alot of it, find safe areas, observe undiscovered animals (no human smell or noise to scare them off, infrared and gps to locate them). The possiblities are endless imo.

His processes not only guide further industrious growth, they provide financial benefits and outcomes that render service in the now. This separates him from other elite entrepreneurs.
the tesla fleet being able to be opted into is actually a major selling point, your car can now become an asset with you still having full useage of it. I work night shift so having it be in fleet during the day would be a great way too make money while I sleep

You bet the investor audience was speechless - but not like you probably think. Does anyone understand what Elon is talking about when he said FSD improvement has gotten difficult because Tesla can't find find interventions for training the FSD. Come-on, I can't drive much more than 5 miles in San Antonio without a serious intervention. Whole Mars had a major issue less than an hour into a recent SF drive with 12.4, aside from his FSD making multiple illegal maneuvers, and Black Tesla had a bunch of issues with 12.4. Is it because Elon is on 12.5 or maybe 13 already, or is he just feeding the shareholders B.S. Coming from an IT guy....sure FSD is freakin impressive for what it can do, and I do see FSD getting better over the years, and recently its improving quickly. However, when I hear these insane remarks from Elon about almost non-existent interventions, I start loosing confidence in Elon's truthfulness. So i totally get why the stock isn't moving on Elon's hype.
It's like looking at Dalle 1 and Dalle 2, the difference is staggering in only 1 year, from cartoony images to photorealistic.
Same with FSD, you gotta remember that they are working today on things that will be released in 1-2-3 years.

But he still doesn't have a fn working product that he was selling 4 years ago, and he was selling it the same way. The problem is that FSD isn't autonomous, and there's a few problems with Telsa Vision.

Now when he said they get no interventions in a week, he is clearly not telling the truth. All videos online shows FSD is much worse than that. Almost every drive has interventions. So, if he is lying about this, is he lying about anything else that can not be easily verified? Very disappointed.

It’s hard to get excited when a massive amount of people will have no way to earn money - what happens when everything is robotic? Robotic means traceable, trackable and controlled by a few ppl who do not have anyone’s best interest in mind except their own. Thats the world we are looking at.
If robots could do all the work, there would be no need for money. But a world like that is science fiction. Won't be happening in our lifetime.
Unless we regulate and control it's expansion!
Invest in robotics and live from your investment or make sure your kids are engineers
Automation is inevitable. It's coming whether you like it or not. People need to stop creating babies they can't afford. If you are poor and are struggling financially, why bring an innocent child into the world only for that child to suffer and struggle just to get the basics in life?

So, my question is, what about the colder climate areas? Because I’ve heard some Teslas stopped working in snowy areas? And also what about the extreme fire hazard once crashed or if there’s a problem with the battery?
There is some range loss at low temperatures. I have experienced about 30% loss at 10 degrees F. However, car has always started in cold weather. Statistically less fire hazard than ICE cars in crashes or otherwise, and they do not tend to explode.

If Tesla is valued higher than other car companies because it’s it NOT a car company, but rather a data company, or an AI company, or a robot company, or whatever kind of company you want to call it… and yet they make absolutely zero dollars from any of those non-car company things… then all of those non- car company things have already been priced into the stock. Otherwise it would be priced as a car company.

Sometimes, it takes a while to do something extraordinary. If it only takes 8 years, it's still 10 times as fast as other companies who've tried and tried and failed. Elon has an excellent track record of accomplishments. FSD will happen despite your feeble attempts to undermine and discount all he's done... but then you'll just complain about what took so long. Complaints are remarkably easy to raise and pretty worthless (definitely not Lord-like) when compared to doing concrete work to improve circumstances instead of repeatedly whining. Elon sets a good example to emmulate.
I worked in a steel mill we had approximately 360 FT rotating employees and about 120 or so contractors in and out of the plant on a regular basis..shut down turn around work major improvements etc ... Our out put was outstanding production wise the plant never lost a dime or laud off a simple person in over 40 years. Today that same plant has around 175 FT employees and about 50 contractors in and out and the plants production is over 200 % higher on average then our daily averages. My point is. . less workers less employees.... Higher production wages compared to cost of living about 39% less today then in 2001 . Corporation more profit. Employees .. more work less pay and higher tax liabilities due to a lower tax base in town and county and state.

The human factor is the problem with traffic. People going 55 in the far left lane. Other people going 85 in the right thing. The roads are insane. Autonomous vehicles will make traffic better and more efficient. I am excited about it.
Or you increase the demands for being allowed to drive to the same level as for instance, Germany. Driving a car is not a human right. Traffic is not a competition or a fight, it is a type of cooperation.
The word Autonomous will mean no autonomy for people and full autonomy for the government or corporations who run the “autonomous road systems”. We will be more and more under the control of a tyrannical system. People will have no choice and no say because they will be forced.
Yes there are crazy drivers everywhere. However, I don't see self driving cars or semis where I live in Colorado. You can't navigate roads with snow or hail on them with a self driver! No lines to see!

With respect Elon, that cyber truck is not bulletproof it’s bullet resistant. It’s definitely handgun proof. The problem is if you shoot a rifle cartridge at it, even .223, a weak rifle cartridge, it isn’t gonna hold up. Speed is what defeats steel. Handgun rounds are just going to dent it, they don’t concentrate enough energy into a small enough point to punch through.

Mars will be a horrible posting. The dust is highly abrasive as toxic to humans. Water is a non- renewable resource and of course there’s only enough “air” to create dust storms. Finally a year or two on Mars will cripple your bones and muscles. Return to Earth after 2 years will leave you permanently damaged.

I drove version 12 and in the first week I had 3 serious interventions….i am all for Tesla but not FSD give it more time and focus on convincing the general masses to drive an EV first and foremost full stop! That is the biggest challenge.
