I generally agree with that sentiment, but I'm convinced Hoovie 100% went into this with his eyes open just to see how bad it would be. In the best case scenario, he has content for a video about how all the naysayers are wrong. In the worst case scenario, he has content for a video that will likely sour even more people on Tesla. Not only that. Banning you from purchasing their products. This is why I will never understand people that love Teslas. Just on principle alone I wouldn’t buy one. Because the owner of the company sees his customers as a given and they can go scratch. Meanwhile, my Cadillac dealer does everything in their power to accommodate you and shows that they truly value their customers. You couldn’t even give me a Tesla for free and expect me not to sell it to buy something else.

Great video. I will never buy a car that only has a screen to control everything. I love the knobs. Also, that Cadillac looks awesome. By the way, when a Tesla is advertised as 340 miles of range, it is usually much worse in reality. The Cadillac probably has the same or better range. Also in the real world you will never notice the one second difference in 0 to 60. It is quite uncomfortable to do 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds, and it is also quite dangerous because it pins your head back so hard that it’s quite difficult to look to your left or your right, which sometimes is essential to avoid an accident. I prefer to have a maximum of 4.5 seconds because it is far safer, yet more than fast enough.
This was pretty cool to watch. The Cadillac does look good and picked it up for a great deal. I also could never get used to doing everything on the center screen. The sharp edges already cut him and people getting stitches from the door corner. Otherwise, I'm not a hater and the concept looks kinda cool, looked fun to drive, and Tesla is supposed to have good EV motors, but the whole thing just seems like a prototype with all kinds of deal breakers and design flaws.

Cybertruck is a meme, not a truck.
money fex thats all look how rich i am
Bat signal for assholes 😂
7:15 I am an automotive suspension engineer and the reason why the upper control arm (UCA) of the Cybertruck appears to be weak is because there are very low forces acting on the upper ball joint given both (1) how tall the knuckle is and (2) how close the axle centerline is to the lower ball joint of the lower control arm (LCA). In contrast to your Van @ 7:55 you can see just how much shorter the knuckle is on the Van which means the upper ball joint is far closer to the offset distance from axle centerline to the lower ball joint which means the UCA on the Van is sharing a much greater force distribution than compared to the UCA on the Cybertruck. If anything we would expect the Cybertruck to have more strength designed into the LCA and/or LCA frame mount and likewise the van more strength designed into the UCA and/or UCA frame mount. Cheers
Edit: As for the Ford Raptor UCA appearing so strong, I offer 3 points: (1) the Raptor knuckle isn’t as tall as the Cybertruck so the Raptor UCA sees a greater share of forces, (2) the Raptor uses a very wide IFS system designed for high speed desert driving (known in the aftermarket world as “Long Travel”), so I’d bet that the Raptor UCA is longer than the Cybertruck UCA which requires a stronger design, and (3) the aftermarket is flooded with over engineered Long Travel/Desert Race UCAs (such as ‘solid billet aluminum UCAs’ which is way more strength than needed) so Ford probably took this approach to appear “heavy duty” and robust like the aftermarket kits all the cool kids have = it’s stronger than necessary because “race truck”.
Thank you for you insight!

This is America...people have to have something ASAP or they will just die. Plus they have to be the first to flaunt it on Social media.
The saddest part is tesla effectively taught people this with the model 3. The earliest adopters had more problems and had parts that got redesigned and improved by the next year. You cannot really feel sorry for someone who jumped into cybertrucks knowing it had a lot of brand new engineering that hasn't been in other teslas before while happily signing a contract not to sell it for the first year. No one who took delivery can claim they did not know what they were getting into.
They always had the option not to take delivery and wait for other people to be the early adopters. Now that tesla is slowing down new charger installations because of musk's ego, buying a less efficient tesla is not worth it. I am holding off buying until musk is gone from the company, I am just sitting on the cash waiting and will drive my volt until the wheels fall off. (GM is not a spring chicken either, but they did just replace the defective battery controller, egr valve, and shifter switch under warranty last year so it should be good for another 50k miles at least).
I kind of hope ford clones tesla as much as they can with their lfp "mustang" and ends up having dealers with service centers that can do all maintenance on site like a normal car. VW pretty much failed and backed off EVs and GM was never serious about EVs. Toyota refuses to make a good EV and is too obsessed with hydrogen which has zero chance of ever working due to no one being willing to fund billions of dollars for hydrogen fueling stations. Hydrogen is currently made from natural gas, so it will never be cheap.
Most of these Cybertrucks were sold to TH-camrs for media content. Now they're going to lose their asses on them. Yawn..., so predictable.
I didn't know a giant fridge on wheels could cost that much.😁
I personally can’t believe that I designed the cyber truck in cub scouts…pretty sure it’s styling is based on a pine wood derby car with minimal work, just painted the wood block and slapped wheels on it….didn’t even sand down the edges
First thing that popped into my mind exactly. First of anything do not buy especially ev’s that have no track record. The king has no clothes syndrome. The lots are filled with those glorified fridges.
🤣🤣🤣
"What use is the Cybertruck if it can't off-road?
That's like a sex doll with no holes, It just seems weird having it on my couch." ~Lewis Black
Better than an imaginary friend!
Lmao😂
Fabulous
"What use is a semi truck if it cant off road?"
It does well off road go look at the videos
I also refuse to buy your Cybertruck
The FIRST EXCUSE for EV was environmental. Now we know that this is WORSE for the long run than it is than gas, and now I have to ask WHY EV for a truck??
Surveillance and control.
@@Zodroo_Tint for sure. You can transport gas, but you need to be plugged in for EV,, and all the cameras, and remote control....Amazing how people dont see it. But people think for the moment, not for their children's future. As if electrical prices wont sky rocket once its 10-20 or so %. Have fun charging the car for 8 hours with solar.
EVs are cleaner in the long run. Not sure where you are getting your information. Also my buddy has a gas GMC that has a built in dash cam that he can access remotely like my Tesla has. My reason for buying an EV is the cost savings.
@@That-Guy_ That is short term thinking. The mining of resources for batteries is far worse than use of gas. Besides, you know what owers those chargers and super chargers? GAS FUEL. its a scam. The world now is about 4-5% EV, if the US was to get close to even 10-20% the price of electricity will hit the roof, AND you will be on full lockdown control. Its not just the cameras, its the control of the energy. You can transport fuel, you CANNOT transport electricy. You need a bunch of solar panels to just charge a car, 8hrs or more. You also have blackouts and brown out just from AC use in hotter states.
Tesla: "You must take mudguards off when you go offroad, in the mud"
There's the WinterSports Snowflake package. A sled with snow bunny suit. Just about fits in the back.
@@catnaplappdx5001does the snow bunny suit go over or under the Elon simp gimp suit?
Wtf are you talking about? What are "mudguards"? Are you talking about the aerodynamic trim, that reduces wind resistance when driving on the freeway?
@@roberts316 Yes. Because putting aerodynamic trim over an inch of exposed wheel on a TRUCK THAT WEIGHS 3000KG (6600lb) makes about as much practical sense as putting a screw cap over the end of the cannon of an M1 Abrams to save MPG.
@@alkaholic4848 If that's how you feel, why wouldn't you just take them off?
"You buy a truck to haul things"
Really? Someone should tell that to truck owners.
That's why I bought my truck... But when I drove down to the city all I see are shiny F150 platinums and high country Chevy's.
SUVs are for women and gays. 🛻
Excellent point. If I had a dollar for every pickup I see with an immaculately clean bed and no cargo, I'd be retired!
@@john_toss umm, how many single cab turbo Silverados are running around?
Every time I spot a single cab modern truck I call it out, and it's usually weeks between spotting them.
Rusted ahhh mf
The fact that Tesla even thinks about suing anyone who wants to sell, tells you everything you need to know.
the fact that you have to put that disclaimer tells you everything you need to know about Tesla.
It's against the law to have a television that can distract the driver but, instead, we are now having screens that have to be viewed and touched several times just to do what we used to with the flick of a switch.
The law is against what they call "Video in motion". But it seems that not everything interactive on a HUGE video screen in the middle of the dash requiring scrolling through menus to access basic as well as advanced features while in motion is not video? Oh I smell the lawsuits coming.
@@whichgodofthousandsmeansno5306 drive a tesla for a week and you'll change your mind. Way easier than 50 buttons on your dash. There is a reason they are all over the place.
@@Eli-lb1lc What could possibly be easier than being able to adjust everything inside the vehicle by touch without taking my eyes off the road?
Tesla saves thousands by using this design. It's cheaper to design , implement and install than buttons. and Tesla fans, modern consumers are fooled so easily
Over here in the UK you can't touch a mobile phone (cell phone) whilst driving. If you are seen to do so the police will stop you and I think its an automatic 6 points on your licence plus a few hundred quid fine. 12 points and you lose your licence , not sure how long for
People need to understand: A car with a stainless steel body lacks crucial crumple zones. In an accident, more crash energy transfers to the occupants inside the Cybertruck instead of absorbing it. Essentially, it’s a battering ram on wheels, which raises serious safety concerns for everyone involved. I wouldn’t accept this car for free.
IMO a truck has to have a minimum bed length of 6.5 ft, anything less is worthless for hauling (can’t dump a load of mulch/dirt into it, can’t haul 4x8 sheeting, etc).
GOOD THING I COULD NOT BUY ONE, MY WIFE SAID NOOOO !!! , SO I HAVE TO CONTINUE DRIVING MY FORESTER TOURING 2021 FOR MORE YEARS, SUBARUS ❤LAST MANY YEARS 🎉 🎉🍾👏🏻
This may be your worst purchase yet
Got all his money back, and then some.
why, he came out even
@@robertbeirne9813 yes, because he realized it was a terrible purchase and got out while he could even if it meant breaking a contract.
@@ayedee6681 he came out even because he realized it was a dumpsterfire and bailed before it was too late.
How many other car purchases have sent him running screaming this fast?
Well they DESERVE taking a loss when everyone bought JUST for the 'ATTENTION'!
buying a car as an investment must be super smart in the first place. like buying NFT's or meme coins for "Investing"
Well, a new car.
Seriously how many other car manufacturers would deliver vehicles without all of the equipment already intact? Having to wait for hubcaps and lights to be added at some other unspecified date is rediculous.
Considering how thoughtful some tesla options are, the mistakes like hard mud flaps, laughable control arms, and sharp edges are mindbogglingly stupid. What a POS.
I remember going into an arguement with a tesla fan saying this wont depreciate, well well well.
Technically it hasn't as they're bringing MSRP.
Must be the same people who claim EV's can last a million miles with no issues.
"But Elon said it wouldn't. He's a genius."
How can something depreciate when its not worth anything anyhow?
Someone is going to take a hit for a $100K car that's worth $50K. The question is who.
maybe not $50K, $35K or less

Whoever I buy mine from in a few years. 🤣
It is the game of musical chairs in reverse. The winner gets stuck with massive losses.
I think who was the original owner of the Cadillac.
That truck is the ugliest thing my eyes have ever seen. Never thought anything could top the Aztek...but here it is.
It looks terrible, Every time I see one passing by I cant help my self but to point my index finger at it and laugh at the driver.
The pleas to Tesla in Star Wars credits make me chuckle 😂
i really dont understand why people say the cybertruck looks futuristic, it just doesnt look like anything because there is no design. the caddy actually looks futuristic
Yeah it's not exactly what I would call futuristic design, more alternative design. Like a bad alternative that most people know better than to embrace.
shaped like a cat turd
I have said it looks like something out of Spectre...which, if you aren't old enough to remember, is a vector-graphics game for the Macintosh published thirty-three years ago (and not noted for great graphics back then).
The caddy just looks like a crossover/station wagon to me...
I agree. It looks like a prop from a cheesy sci fi movie in the eighties.
why would you buy one in the first place? we knew they were stupid before they even came out.
