Man this made me realize just how little we got to see Tom Holland's Spidey swinging throughout the trilogy. This was absolutely flawless. Props to whoever made this.
I think they're trying to go for realism but I realised the other day, if you could put an electric current through the Web (like how batman uses it to glide with his Cape) you could probably swing like raimis spiderman but it'd be more like swinging on a pole than a a rope. You just can't swing on a floppy rope like that down the streets without hitting buildings or youd have to only swing around buildings rather than forward. Electric current raimi swinging!
Sam Raimi was the best director for Spiderman and in my opinion if he becomes the new director of the Tom Holland trilogy it will be more amazing than the first 😎👍
Colour grading gives this entire sequence so much life and if the creators behind all MCU related movies would consider to apply colour graded shots then I think the MCU would stand a chance of being favoured by auteurs of the academy awards! But who cares, the MCU is probably the best for its storylines but a little bit of improvement in cinematic storytelling and editing here and there wouldn’t hurt.
You really think color grading would actually have that much of an impact? Interesting, care to explain why you think so? I can kinda get a sense, but I’m not exactly sure why.
@@michaelamponsah4352 imo opinion colour grading would do an enormous service to these films, enhancing the storytelling and visuals. It would also give each MCU film its own unique style and feel and prevent every film from looking so ‘same-y’. Just look at The Batman; it genuinely looks fantastic from a visual standpoint because of its unique stylistic flair. Many stills from the film look like literal art. However, the same cannot be said for the MCU Spider-Man films as the cinematography is lacklustre and forgettable.
This looks like as if Peter actually revealed the true identity of Mysterio to the world and now he's finally ready to move on into another adventure of finding out villains lurking within the shadows, maybe that villain could be Kraven!

Like it feels more like what I’d do ya know being a young cocky teen I’d probably go in my phone and yeah overall it didn’t look as fancy as raimi but it looked like a young kid enjoying himself which is awesome especially once he’s defeated the baddy and has a triumphant win and it’s even better when that triumph is shattered when mysterio reveals his identity and in NWH the opening swing is less fun and more like he’s scared etx
One thing that makes Sam Raimi different is the color grading. Tobey Maguire version of Spiderman is warmer and more yellowish. Andrew Garfield version more blueish. And the Tom Holland version, both. :) And music style like Tobey Maguire version is more collosal and choir. And classic. :)
I just realized how much a movie's soundtrack can make a difference. Remember this the same swinging sequence from Far From Home. Nothing got changed in the swinging aspect. But the music made this 100 times better. And for that I see how much potential MCU's spiderman could've had with it's swinging if they just had better music.

Would you say that Maguire had his suit given to him by Thomas Saint just because he invented the sewing machine? No? Then how does it make any more sense to credit Tony Stark for the suit Peter built?
Pretty good. I’ll be glad when we don’t have a final swing where Peter has a phone in his hand the whole time. I love Spider-Man, but my goodness, we haven’t had a decent swing sequence since tasm 2. And a decent final swing since tasm 1 considering tasm 2 didn’t have one. I saw the final swing for nwh and it wasn’t anything to write home about, but I haven’t seen the sequences from the movie yet. Only clips. I’ll make a final judgement when I see it, but marvel needs to step it up in that department.

It’s amazing what Tobey and Sam Raimi have created, just digesting how exquisite that cut, the color grading and everything else in between used on this clip from Far From Home which to me was the better Home trilogy in my opinion regardless. HOW DID YOU DO YOUR COLOR GRADING?!?! This was impeccable! Most of the time if it's not the raw file it damages the quality to color grade and you can't be as precise with how the tones are, if you can make a video on how you do it that would be awesome!
