Interestingly enough, it's explained in the movie.
Captain Stacy says in the dinner scene that Spider-Man interrupted the police sting operation. This guy was supposed to lead them to the car ring, so all of the cops that chase him here were probably already there for the car thief.

This clip really shows something that isn't often shown in other spider-man movies and that is his pure reflexes and speed. When the cop starts shooting at him, you can see him dodge the bullets and move out of the path of bullets in extremely fast movements -- not quite at the level of a speedster but definitely far faster than an ordinary man. That is something I really like about this scene because we never really get a chance to see just how fast Spider-man's reflexes are in other movies. Again, he's got nothing on Barry Allen but he's far, far faster than any other typical superhero. He's up there slowly approaching superman in terms of reflexes and speeds.

His normal strength is closer to 50,000 kilograms (which he normally reigns in to normal human olympic athelete strength range unless facing foes who have superhuman durability.)
Superman has held up 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kg for more than a day. His "feat" of strength 1 shot would be higher.

I found that Toby really captured Peter Parker perfectly, but had room to improve as Spider-man. Andrew was great as Spider-man, but needed a bit of work as Peter Parker. Tom Holland did good as both, making him the most well-rounded.
The best of the 3 is subjective, because they all delivered a level of performance that well exceeded the minimum needed for the role. Garfield just needed a great movie to shine in... Hell, Holland did too, come to think of it, because the Spider-man movies he was in were only okay.

He was funny and energetic, but you can still sense some darkness in him, which is boosted by those lens. And it's not really a bad thing since it's relateable and, like Toby, gives J. Honestly, my favorite is the 90s Animated Series one so I always compare all versions of Spider-Man to him both in wit and personality. But it IS cool they expanded on the searching for the killer part in Amazing, and the wrestling part in Raimi's Trilogy. I'd say MCU has focused more on his feeling of powerlessness so far, at least at times, but I haven't seen the new one yet and I'm not sure what the future of MCU Spider-Man is.

I think one of the most under appreciated parts of this film is how the suit, the lighting and the performance all play into this being a genuinely scary version of Spiderman. The suit looks terrifying, especially in low lighting and the way he casually and playfully taunts the car thief like it's no big deal for him, all the while being one step ahead of him almost makes it seem as he isn't human, and the car thief is powerless against him. If u were a criminal in now york city and u encountered this version of Spiderman, u would be terrified.
Also the fear factor and slender, almost inhuman appearance of this Spiderman remind me a lot of Steve Ditko's depiction of Spiderman in Amazing Fantasy 15, which was meant to be scary for the reader, taking most of it's inspiration from horror comics.

Spidey probably didn't break anything to get into the car.

The car is empty when the valet locks the door. He got in the car same time as the thief because his gadget unlocked all doors. It's meant to show how slick Spider-Man.

He didn't attack him for being a car thief though. He was looking for Uncle Ben's killer.

We need more of smart ass Spiderman. He reminds me of watching the animated series. Animated series Spiderman was sassy as hell.

And that's why you always check the back seat before you get in your car at night.

What I really loved about this scene was the look that he gave after webbing the thief. Totally believable as a menace.

I think people now started to realize that Garfield’s version of spider truly captured the original comics. Best adaptation in my opinion. A shame that when The amazing spider man came out it wasn’t well received as opposed to Toby’s version.

I'd say that's just because the Raimi films got the first impression, and Toby Maguire, even if not strictly following the comics, captured the nobility of Spider-Man's cause...
Oh and, there will never be another MJ like Kirsten Dunst. Some people were just born for a role

He does the superhero role very well. But not the Peter Parker part.

Cop literally followed zero protocol, didn't even get off his bike, and tried to murder a civilian who had done nothing wrong.
    Sounds about right.

My favorite parts of this movie is just seeing how Spidey interacts with average people and how the public views Him

The one thing I love about Andrew's spiderman is the First person perspectives. It just shows how much you need to pay attention to your surroundings.
