However, this Crash Guard is the 'Second Edition' and will be compatible with the 'Second Edition' Skid Plate...something to keep in mind. And you do have to first remove the skid plate to install the crash guard. So here we are, Crash Guard install on my 2023 Suzuki DR650.
We are not certified technicians but we ended up having a successful install!

Just a word to the wise. Always undo the bolts at the nut end. Much easier.🙂
It's super nice having a wife helping you work on the bike. Nice work, I would unscrew the nuts always first. Trying from the bolt part is harder.
Haha your a beast! Best thing you can do is start moving, tell your body we still got ship to do! Jen is a gem to help you out, gd to see you still making videos🤙
Good install video for sure. Hate to hear about the broken ribs. Been there... It sucked !!!!
Dude you guys have all the coolest bikes, I am jealous!
Says the man with the T7 and Rally! Those bikes are unobtainium where I live. Would love a T7 and I searched the entire SWest for a Rally to no avail. Stay safe out there amigo!
@@precipiceofgrind yes bikes are getting harder and harder to get here why were the United States of America glad I got my DR bought it in December and went and got it yesterday no skid plate ? did yours come with one ? thanks
@@kevincraig8257 No, mine did not come with a skid plate.
@Precipice Of Grind Thanks thought maybe they just forgot to install it. The piece is essential for offroad.
I installed guards on my Rally. I didn't really notice the extra weight because it's low on the bike. They are scratched up after many falls so well worth the investment. The CRF300 Rally has lots of plastic so you almost need them if you're going off road.
A worthy investment! I wish there were guards for the 300L, maybe there are now and I just haven't looked hard enough.
I put my DR on a diet, one of the items I removed were the rear passenger foot pegs
Couldn’t believe how heavy those little suckers are
You might want to do the same to offset the extras you are adding to the bike
After market exhaust will save a few pounds also
Makes sense to me! Appreciate you watching!
without rear pegs, remove the grab bar also.
always wear your safety sandals when working on the bike (I have same ones lol)
You know it!
Just a question friend, in which store did you buy the bumper or where can I get it?
