Hi, congratulations to your coll setup. I also own the Thork/Carpe Iter Controller you use, and like it a lot. I just wanted to mention, that you can configure your Android Phone (--> Settings --> App --> Default Apps --> Start-App) to use the "DMD2" Dashboard App as the default Start App. By doing so, you can easily go back to the Dashboard. Just use the "LongPress" on the upper button, enable the HUD (overlay dialogue coming up, if the controller has been setup properly) and select the "Home" button as explained in the overlay. I do not know, if you know this, but as it is not part of the video I wanted to mention. Other cool features like skip ti previous or next title, volume up and down, ... can also be used via the HUD.

Actually it doesn't need service at all. The app I use downloads all the maps in the area, so it works exactly like a regular GPS, just with way more options. 😁👍🏻
Great idea! If you allow me, I will copy it to install in my Himalayan! I already use an OBDII app to read the oil temperature and consumption and it would be great to consolidate the info in a modern dashboard.

Its a 3" black ABS pipe with the rubber sealing plugs. Got it all at Home depot. I think its 17" long and I made the clamps myself out of 3/4' x 1/8" thick steel strap. 👍🏻
@@southerndualsport3827 is the 3" big enough? as I had a problem with mine that my hands are to big to get inside the tube to get my tools out. now I use a extra bag to put my tools and stuff in, before it goes into the tube. And I can't open the backside of the tube without tools.
@@stefansweerts3825 that's basically what I did, I wrap my tool kit in a rag before I put it into the tube. Yeah my XL+ glove hands don't fit either haha! I was going to build an aluminum box 3"×4" but it was going to take too long and didn't want to spend the money on the raw tubing for it haha. Maybe some day.
Do you have a video about the tool tube?, I dreamed about adding a fake muffler for that purpose, that would look awesome haha, but I guess that would cost a lot of extra weight, maybe
I don't actually, but I am planning on doing a tool kit video very soon. I recently had to use my kit for the first time and found a few weaknesses to my kit I was carrying. I added a few things that I think are pretty handy, and wanted to share them with everyone. Stay tuned for that! I'll go over the tube build for you too 👍🏻😁
Woow good jop

@@southerndualsport3827 what model phone?
@@zero2sixty420 Its a UleFone on Amazon, about $150 depending on what model you choose. They seem to be good quality.
@@southerndualsport3827 And you use it as your primary instrument?
@@zero2sixty420 Yes, I have all the same apps and maps loaded on my personal cell as well so I have that as a backup. The chances of both failing are pretty slim. If I go anywhere REALLY far out, ill also toss a paper map in my bags just in case.
Berapa harganya?
The app is $3 USD. The cell phone I bought on eBay, hope that helps! 😁
