Went to the airfield with two buddies yesterday. Thinking of taking out a Boss Tank. Found out that there gathered three tanks and roundabout 8 hunters. As we went down to the Boss as only remaining, suddenly two harvesters found it funny to join the battle. That was a lot of blood! Love this game :D
@@TenebrisInfinite It took us some time, but was hell of a funride :D Anyway the overall XP and loot was woth it, even though this boss dropped only some chunks of ammo.
My brother and I went to the Airfield soon after making it to the Farmlands, and it took us a moment to realize that we were indeed in the wrong neighborhood.
This just happened to my team yesterday. So happy we aren't the only ones that experienced this lol. Went from 1 death to like 14 cuz we didn't realize what was goin on

you have infinite amount of re spawns. My friend took down 2 tanks, and 2 harvesters + a lot of hunters. We probably died 40 times together, at least it's calm outside the bunker now.

Ah fightings tanks always gets way more complicated the more there are in the fight, hopefully you managed to finish them off still! Hope these tips can further your tank smashing ability my dude :D

I was with my friend and we had 4 tanks and kept trying and trying. After an hour or so we killed for 4 one by one and took some amazing loot, but we lost our kits and ammo and somewhat explosives. I'm happy I saw this video since we can do it in only 30 mins.
Great video helping the players out a lot especially the new players who haven't got into the whole mechanic a whole bunch, I just hope they at new robots like Giants as they called it would like to see the 3 leg monster from " War of the worlds" that would be awesome seeing it in the distance.
I totally agree dude! and honestly if they can keep up this mechanic of finding weak points on the robots and make it even crazier for the giant enemies that'd be the best! imagine ripping one of those legs off and the giant comes tumbling down or something.. thanks for watching man :D
@@TenebrisInfinite Haha that would be one of these scary but totally worth it moments, btw if you do one for the hunters if you haven't already and I mist it, you can actually kill them really quickly if you have the aim for it, first kill the gun and then shoot them in the "Mouth" as I call it, it's basically under the red glowing eyes it's like a little fuse box 1 or 2 shots should be enough for a 50 cal to take them down instantly, works for all versions I think.

I got the green bike skin off of a Tank or a Harvester in Ostervik. I don't remember the mission name but it said to kill the machine in the center area there. I'm assuming it's random though and I just got lucky. Haven't found the other one yet. I don't see any difference between the color of bikes except in the description. Something about green being the color of the first bike produced and blue being the classic color? Maybe I have them swapped but it's something like that. Keep up the great videos.
I love tanks with a passion... That until we meet up with the apocalypse class, omg their terrifying especially with their strange sounds and it's even worse when their auto cannons removed! I don't know if you've thought about it, but it says RESEN at the legs of the Tanks? It's Swedish for an RPG monster (think Dungeons and dragon) which is something similar to an ogre, troll monster. All monsters have a Swedish name too them. At least the military ones. Robot - SWE - ENG. Ticks - Myran - The Ant. Seeker - Korpen - The Crow, Probably an association to the crows of north mythology, Hugin (thought/mind) and Munin (memory). Runners - Järven - Wolverine. Hunters - Ulven - Wolf. Harvesters - Oxen - The ox. Tanks - RESEN - Ogre/troll-like creature.
Almost right. Korpen should be translated to Raven. A crow is a smaller bird and Hugin and Mumin was Odens two ravens. Resen is ancient swedish/northern language for giant.
Can't wait for Apocalypse tank tactics from you dude. :) I fought one and it can be damaged by its own mines if you can manage it to lead over there. EMP is also a good stuff to make it inactive for a short time, poisonous armored stick pods are dangerous..
Sometimes I wish the robots were a bit smarter and didn't just stand there like lemons as I hammer them with long distance shots. But most of the time, I'm kind of grateful.

My friend and I are just off the start archipelago and took down a rival tank, we both had 2 star weapons and between a couple of fight he got the 6* experimental machine gun and I got the 6* shotgun and bazooka! I feel a lot better approaching the main land now.

I've watched a few of your videos and it looks like you are either playing on "Adventure" mode, or your game is/was broken. None of the Hunters, Harvesters and Tanks just sat there and let us shoot them. They are all super-agro and launch many projectiles at us as well as physical attacks with the Hunters running and jumping and shooting and throwing ticks, bombs, poison gas canisters, etc at us. Some tanks lob proximity cluster bombs and all of them launch mortars. Harvesters shoot multi- stream firebombs and stuff like that. This looks like a way different experience than we are having. And, super-easy. We can't get within 3 hundred yards of a Tank/Harvester/Hunter without them going off and raining fire down on us. We need to use stealth and avoid them like the plague if we don't want a big, tough fight.
I’m well aware that this was 8 months ago but I thought it would be worth mentioning. It’s no longer safe to disarm the tanks, at least the prototype class, as soon as they are disarmed they will constantly charge at you so be aware.
Yeah man back when i put this video out that charging rush attack wasn't in the game! But I feel it still has a lot of beneficial info for newer players so I left it up. Since then i've put up stuff for more veteran players in my "new tips and tricks" video and my video on controlling machines! :D cheers though, definitely words to the wise!
I wondered if there were any way to take out tanks easier than just pumping them full of lead so I found this video and it did help, except the part where it let off a loud horn that startled me and straight up trampled me which I was NOT prepared for, I found out it was easier to take off just the fastest weapon like the auto turret because I found the barrage or mortar more easier to dodge. Still though, this video is still helpful friend :).

Thank you so much Tiago! At level 8 without the salvage skill tanks can be pretty resource intensive and only offer the benefit of dropping weapons in which you probably have a reliable load out where you're at. So i'd say go for salvage first then tanks become loot pinata's so to speak :D great sources of ammo when you get that skill maxed out. For now they're best served as EXP grinding when you've finished a big farming sesh in the bunkers and military installations. :)

Tenebris Infinite I thought rivals always dropped an experimental weapon so I had to experimental guns from a harvester rival and a hunter rival. I had found i tank rival so I spent like 20 minutes trying to kill and when I did it dropped a crappy weapon and like 300 handgun ammo :/
I think you can emp the tanks, and then drop an explosive canister under its body, afterwards it’s as simple as shooting the canister, and he dies just like that. Unless the devs have changed that...
I've been playing this with my brother and we've found the Tanks to be very annoying to deal with. We can blow up some of the components, but we've never managed to take off their weapons. From these videos they look like the most resilient components though, so we probably just haven't tried hard enough. There are also a lot more components that we eve know about. I assumed their legs would have been completely pointless to attack. Their rockets are especially annoying to deal with. Hopefully we can focus a bit more on their weapons next time and find them a bit easier to deal with.
Me and my cousin went to the airbase and ended up getting pinned in the hangars from 2 tanks. It was fun, scary, and a horrible idea. The worst part was that we ran out of rockets and explosives (at the time, the only way we knew to defeat them)
Me and my friend had to fight about 4 of these, as well as about 10 dogs and about 30 walkers, it was a pain in the ass, we lost all our meds, but we ended up with over 1k ammo for most weapons
On skirmish difficulty solo i found that using recoiless rifle, assault rifle and smg were my go to loadouts on base no dlc ps4. That initially lets you battle hunters and runners but also let me tackle harvesters and tanks early. By usingbterrain like buildings i was able to chip out superior fnix units at the airports. That got me a 5 crown 556 assault rifle. That enabled me to eventually get the 4 crown Rocket and from there it was AR and Recoiless all the way with HEDP and AP 556 rounds. Even my first encounter with firebirds fighting fnix tanks near the crater (got serious terminator vibes) was simple if you keep moving.

Can you please update this for the Apocalypse Class tanks? Me and my friend have been struggling with them, even shooting over 10 rockets at them with a 6 star launcher they don't even start sparking...
@@king9noah657 This is not entirely true. Using the Experimental Rocket Launcher helps very much when taking out FNIX and Apoc type tanks. Ten shots is enough to take down an Apoc, or at least that was an approx. Best weapon to use against Apoc and FNIX type tanks are still the Experimental PVG 90.
I would just love it if you could disable the robots movement or targeting systems by destroying joints or limbs and if you shoot the eyes and face or sensors they start freaking out and spam shockwave or something.

I have a question about the Hacker Skill, not sure if you know how it works. I realize you need all 18 Blueprints and this teaches you how to hack them. So on a Tick it gives me 100%, Runners are between 75% & 90%, Tanks are between 40% & 50%, and Harvesters are 10%. Even with all Blueprints acquired. My question is, why does it only work sometimes? I thought distance mattered at first but I changed a Runner from a long distance and it started attacking others but other times I can be right next to it and it seems like nothing happens. It has something to do with the blue burst that comes off of it when you hack it. Plus I don't think you can hack a Tank or Harvester because it does nothing and they still attack you. Maybe the percentage is just the probability of you making it fight for you. Not sure though. I wish they explained little things like that. Also it doesn't seem to allow me to change abilities, if I want to collect ticks it seems to stay stuck on hacker. Great content as always. Sorry for the long post.
No worries for the long post man! always happy to hear ya out so dont sweat it :D So sadly i havent messed with hacker much i used my friends build a few times and found the same results as you, just kinda confirmed to me to hold off on a hacker build myself until they tweak specializations more. So i would assume that the percentage is not increasing due to it not being a factor, even if it says it is... these mechanics do need explaining though, like we all went a month without knowing what the health upgrade did in game.. One thing i know for sure that is a big bummer to tell you though man, there is no multi spec'ing, i do think they wanted it in game so you could unlock two trees and use them, but it doesn't seem to work quite right. I really hope we'll see a skill overhaul in the near future, and respecing points too, all things that we'll just have to wait and see happen! :D
Well I learned of a Save Wizard the other day. For $60 USD, you can upload your PS4 save files through their server and mod in game files. It works for pretty much every game that isn't multiplayer. I never knew it existed till I saw another GZ TH-camr using it. They had all skills unlocked and explained it. While it may be cheating I play solo and there is no PVP advantage so I don't see the harm. Plus this one works and doesn't require you to mod your hardware. Not sure what other people's thoughts on these are but I'm willing to test it out.
Hacking is done by percentages as you mentioned however different grades of robot have different percentages. Most tanks I see have 10% chance. Dogs can be hacked most of the time but even though it’s around 85% sometimes it’s not gonna work. Usually when successful you see blue sparks, however many time I have not seen any sign and then the start shooting at their own, so this could be a slight bug
Just fought my first two of these at the same time. Had building for cover. Went through a mountain of ammo, and health packs. Had to put difficulty to adventurer, to make sure I didn't run out of resources.

I usually just destroy the machine gun then pick them off with my .44, and I destroy the concussion blast emitter or gas emitter, the missiles are easy to dodge but if you take both guns off it starts to charge move closer to you making it hard to be precise
so i just got this game, and i went into a building near the farmlands which is prime tank territory. and a couple days ago i got a rival that showed up and it was a tank. i forgot about it but at this area, i tried killing a harvester. didn't work. and then i hear stomping. i looked down the street and saw the rival tank, coming my way. that was already horrifying. somehow i killed it with crappy weapons.
You currently cannot turn it off sadly, but what it is is when you aim down your sights at an enemy the target will slightly shift to target an effective component. you can notice it most when trying to target seekers as they move faster/more consistently than the snap so it will leave you lagging behind them if aiming down sights. its pretty irritating sometimes!
I'm currently in the Southwest region of the map. Still fairly new in the solo campaign. The last few times I have loaded my save, there are always 2 Phoenix tanks that spawn directly outside of my safehouse. It's happening every time I load a game
Guess the game has evolved. The tanks charge now, like a bull and it one shots you mostly, they have poison gas aoe, the have a harder Apocalypse class. Lots seems different.
Just started playing last week, only lvl9. I have the engineer skill, if I kill the tick pod first in these & the harvester can I still loot some ticks to use as minions??
What about the backs of the legs? I'm sure when I looked up tank weakspots online it said that the canisters on their legs were the weakspots to go for.
I play this game on the hardest level, its not this easy and the robots come from all over the map to reinforce each other. I die so many times lol but, in the end, there is a pile of robots on the ground. Fast travel to another location start over.

I was hoping you have found out which way to kill tanks has the best loot afterward. As killing it faster by removing their guns and stuffs will become less to loot afterward because you have damaged it to the point when you kill it. At least that's how I feel with this update. Am I right ?
Well that's straight forward my dude, just aim for the legs and body and dont damage any components, it just becomes a slog to do that though lol as there's actually no way to do it without risking damaging components. if you need all the best loot etc you should consider building yourself a engineer, i have a video on it on my channel you can check out if you want.
Right but I put like 20 rockets into its face and it’s only down to 45% health…. Then save for the night. Come back next day and it’s full health again.

Almost right. Korpen should be translated to Raven. A crow is a smaller bird and Hugin and Mumin was Odens two ravens. Resen is ancient swedish/northern language for giant.
Can't wait for Apocalypse tank tactics from you dude. :) I fought one and it can be damaged by its own mines if you can manage it to lead over there. EMP is also a good stuff to make it inactive for a short time, poisonous armored stick pods are dangerous..
Sometimes I wish the robots were a bit smarter and didn't just stand there like lemons as I hammer them with long distance shots.
But most of the time, I'm kind of grateful.

First tank i ever fought was a rival. Wow that took a lot of ammo.
My friend and I are just off the start archipelago and took down a rival tank, we both had 2 star weapons and between a couple of fight he got the 6* experimental machine gun and I got the 6* shotgun and bazooka! I feel a lot better approaching the main land now.

@@TenebrisInfinite my shotty glitched so I can't use it😭, basically it doesn't show in inventory anymore but if I try equip a shotty mod it shows up as if I can attach it still but still doesn't appear!
On the up side I have the exp bazooka, handgun and sub machine gun though.
I've watched a few of your videos and it looks like you are either playing on "Adventure" mode, or your game is/was broken. None of the Hunters, Harvesters and Tanks just sat there and let us shoot them. They are all super-agro and launch many projectiles at us as well as physical attacks with the Hunters running and jumping and shooting and throwing ticks, bombs, poison gas canisters, etc at us. Some tanks lob proximity cluster bombs and all of them launch mortars. Harvesters shoot multi- stream firebombs and stuff like that. This looks like a way different experience than we are having. And, super-easy.
We can't get within 3 hundred yards of a Tank/Harvester/Hunter without them going off and raining fire down on us. We need to use stealth and avoid them like the plague if we don't want a big, tough fight.

I’m well aware that this was 8 months ago but I thought it would be worth mentioning. It’s no longer safe to disarm the tanks, at least the prototype class, as soon as they are disarmed they will constantly charge at you so be aware.
Yeah man back when i put this video out that charging rush attack wasn't in the game! But I feel it still has a lot of beneficial info for newer players so I left it up. Since then i've put up stuff for more veteran players in my "new tips and tricks" video and my video on controlling machines! :D cheers though, definitely words to the wise!
I wondered if there were any way to take out tanks easier than just pumping them full of lead so I found this video and it did help, except the part where it let off a loud horn that startled me and straight up trampled me which I was NOT prepared for, I found out it was easier to take off just the fastest weapon like the auto turret because I found the barrage or mortar more easier to dodge. Still though, this video is still helpful friend :).

Thank you so much Tiago! At level 8 without the salvage skill tanks can be pretty resource intensive and only offer the benefit of dropping weapons in which you probably have a reliable load out where you're at. So i'd say go for salvage first then tanks become loot pinata's so to speak :D great sources of ammo when you get that skill maxed out. For now they're best served as EXP grinding when you've finished a big farming sesh in the bunkers and military installations. :)

Tenebris Infinite I thought rivals always dropped an experimental weapon so I had to experimental guns from a harvester rival and a hunter rival. I had found i tank rival so I spent like 20 minutes trying to kill and when I did it dropped a crappy weapon and like 300 handgun ammo :/
I think you can emp the tanks, and then drop an explosive canister under its body, afterwards it’s as simple as shooting the canister, and he dies just like that. Unless the devs have changed that...

I've been playing this with my brother and we've found the Tanks to be very annoying to deal with. We can blow up some of the components, but we've never managed to take off their weapons. From these videos they look like the most resilient components though, so we probably just haven't tried hard enough. There are also a lot more components that we eve know about. I assumed their legs would have been completely pointless to attack.
Their rockets are especially annoying to deal with. Hopefully we can focus a bit more on their weapons next time and find them a bit easier to deal with.
They buffed the enemies since then, a nerf is coming in a few weeks
Me and my cousin went to the airbase and ended up getting pinned in the hangars from 2 tanks. It was fun, scary, and a horrible idea. The worst part was that we ran out of rockets and explosives (at the time, the only way we knew to defeat them)
Me and my friend had to fight about 4 of these, as well as about 10 dogs and about 30 walkers, it was a pain in the ass, we lost all our meds, but we ended up with over 1k ammo for most weapons
On skirmish difficulty solo i found that using recoiless rifle, assault rifle and smg were my go to loadouts on base no dlc ps4.
That initially lets you battle hunters and runners but also let me tackle harvesters and tanks early.
By usingbterrain like buildings i was able to chip out superior fnix units at the airports. That got me a 5 crown 556 assault rifle. That enabled me to eventually get the 4 crown Rocket and from there it was AR and Recoiless all the way with HEDP and AP 556 rounds.
Even my first encounter with firebirds fighting fnix tanks near the crater (got serious terminator vibes) was simple if you keep moving.

I sneak from behind and use an EMP device to disable them, after i shoot in the main weapons . I have some videos on my channel.

Can you please update this for the Apocalypse Class tanks? Me and my friend have been struggling with them, even shooting over 10 rockets at them with a 6 star launcher they don't even start sparking...
Fnix and apocalypse robots are immune to rockets
@@king9noah657 This is not entirely true. Using the Experimental Rocket Launcher helps very much when taking out FNIX and Apoc type tanks. Ten shots is enough to take down an Apoc, or at least that was an approx.
Best weapon to use against Apoc and FNIX type tanks are still the Experimental PVG 90.

I would just love it if you could disable the robots movement or targeting systems by destroying joints or limbs and if you shoot the eyes and face or sensors they start freaking out and spam shockwave or something.

From my experience, the tank turns into a bull and charges you once it's weapons are lost. And I mean he full on sprints at me.
My dad doesn’t believe me that the military tanks have rail guns im like dude that fucker hit me with like a sniper and hes like it was probably a rocket launcher so now im waiting for him to find one too
Tell him to go to the field in front of a place called ostramark near the bunker in the farmlands, theres a field out front that spawns one in! but maybe dont tell him its there just that he needs to check the spot out :D Cheers!

I spent about 500 rounds trying to kill a rival and finally did it when I was able to get behind the thing
I have a question about the Hacker Skill, not sure if you know how it works. I realize you need all 18 Blueprints and this teaches you how to hack them. So on a Tick it gives me 100%, Runners are between 75% & 90%, Tanks are between 40% & 50%, and Harvesters are 10%. Even with all Blueprints acquired.
My question is, why does it only work sometimes? I thought distance mattered at first but I changed a Runner from a long distance and it started attacking others but other times I can be right next to it and it seems like nothing happens.
It has something to do with the blue burst that comes off of it when you hack it. Plus I don't think you can hack a Tank or Harvester because it does nothing and they still attack you. Maybe the percentage is just the probability of you making it fight for you. Not sure though. I wish they explained little things like that.
Also it doesn't seem to allow me to change abilities, if I want to collect ticks it seems to stay stuck on hacker.

So sadly i havent messed with hacker much i used my friends build a few times and found the same results as you, just kinda confirmed to me to hold off on a hacker build myself until they tweak specializations more.
So i would assume that the percentage is not increasing due to it not being a factor, even if it says it is... these mechanics do need explaining though, like we all went a month without knowing what the health upgrade did in game..
One thing i know for sure that is a big bummer to tell you though man, there is no multi spec'ing, i do think they wanted it in game so you could unlock two trees and use them, but it doesn't seem to work quite right.
I really hope we'll see a skill overhaul in the near future, and respecing points too, all things that we'll just have to wait and see happen! :D
Well I learned of a Save Wizard the other day. For $60 USD, you can upload your PS4 save files through their server and mod in game files. It works for pretty much every game that isn't multiplayer. I never knew it existed till I saw another GZ TH-camr using it. They had all skills unlocked and explained it.
While it may be cheating I play solo and there is no PVP advantage so I don't see the harm. Plus this one works and doesn't require you to mod your hardware.
Not sure what other people's thoughts on these are but I'm willing to test it out.
Hacking is done by percentages as you mentioned however different grades of robot have different percentages. Most tanks I see have 10% chance.
Dogs can be hacked most of the time but even though it’s around 85% sometimes it’s not gonna work. Usually when successful you see blue sparks, however many time I have not seen any sign and then the start shooting at their own, so this could be a slight bug
Just fought my first two of these at the same time. Had building for cover. Went through a mountain of ammo, and health packs. Had to put difficulty to adventurer, to make sure I didn't run out of resources.

I usually just destroy the machine gun then pick them off with my .44, and I destroy the concussion blast emitter or gas emitter, the missiles are easy to dodge but if you take both guns off it starts to charge move closer to you making it hard to be precise
Yeah i played solo, came here after the farmlands buttseks when there were 2 tanks and 10 hunters after me. Really discouraging.
Just killed a tank today with 300 7.62 bullets 60 shotgun shells and 100 9mm and all i got from it was a grenade and 300 9mm
so i just got this game, and i went into a building near the farmlands which is prime tank territory. and a couple days ago i got a rival that showed up and it was a tank. i forgot about it but at this area, i tried killing a harvester. didn't work. and then i hear stomping. i looked down the street and saw the rival tank, coming my way. that was already horrifying. somehow i killed it with crappy weapons.

If you go to the area he's in you can get the tank stuck like in the start of the vid but for some reason mine killed itself with its missiles

What is "sticky aim?" I've been playing for 160 hours and I wasn't aware of that. How do you turn it on/off?
You currently cannot turn it off sadly, but what it is is when you aim down your sights at an enemy the target will slightly shift to target an effective component. you can notice it most when trying to target seekers as they move faster/more consistently than the snap so it will leave you lagging behind them if aiming down sights. its pretty irritating sometimes!

I'm currently in the Southwest region of the map. Still fairly new in the solo campaign. The last few times I have loaded my save, there are always 2 Phoenix tanks that spawn directly outside of my safehouse. It's happening every time I load a game
Always go for the gas canister. and it's back. goes allot quiker.
Guess the game has evolved. The tanks charge now, like a bull and it one shots you mostly, they have poison gas aoe, the have a harder Apocalypse class. Lots seems different.

Just started playing last week, only lvl9. I have the engineer skill, if I kill the tick pod first in these & the harvester can I still loot some ticks to use as minions??
What about the backs of the legs? I'm sure when I looked up tank weakspots online it said that the canisters on their legs were the weakspots to go for.

yea i just shoot at it with everything i got, had to use the starting pistol which did kill a harvester, not a tank, but it works
I play this game on the hardest level, its not this easy and the robots come from all over the map to reinforce each other. I die so many times lol but, in the end, there is a pile of robots on the ground. Fast travel to another location start over.
How did you get it to not take damage from the gas?
If you destroy the eye will they not be able see you?...also i dont know why but hunters are as easy to kill as runners

It doesn't, its all just RNG for drops

I was hoping you have found out which way to kill tanks has the best loot afterward. As killing it faster by removing their guns and stuffs will become less to loot afterward because you have damaged it to the point when you kill it. At least that's how I feel with this update. Am I right ?
Well that's straight forward my dude, just aim for the legs and body and dont damage any components, it just becomes a slog to do that though lol as there's actually no way to do it without risking damaging components.
if you need all the best loot etc you should consider building yourself a engineer, i have a video on it on my channel you can check out if you want.
Right but I put like 20 rockets into its face and it’s only down to 45% health…. Then save for the night. Come back next day and it’s full health again.
