I bought mine around Black Friday 2020, and it's great. I'm just one person and I didn't want anything huge in my small kitchen. I use it almost everyday.
I have this exact air fryer. It does a great job. I've had it around 8 months now with daily use. No issues yet. If it's hot or steamy, I leave the door vented a minute after cooking to allow the unit to cool down. The Houdini collins ice cube maker from Target makes a good liner for this. Exact fit by the way. You can cook hotdogs, waffles, mini pizzas, or street tacos better than all the way in the basket. Also you don't have to wash the basket as often. Oils go down in the 7 slots on the silicone liner. Now this liner is not rated for oven use, but it's silicone and the logo hasn't baked off yet, nor has it distorted.
My daughters gave me one for father's day and I haven't used it yet. Your review is by far the very best product review I have watched on TH-cam. You explain everything clearly and you make it so easy to understand. On top of that, you have a wonderful voice.

I bought one today after wanting an air fryer for so long. I live alone so the perfect size for me. Glad I found this video because I'm a newbie to the air frying world so I'm completely lost on what to do!! lol
Went to walmart, bought one. Perfect for me . i cut my beacon in half then fold. Easily holds 9 pieces. Can and have put in more with no problem. They come out crispy without flipping but i flip anyway. I discovered that you can crowd in stuff like asparagus and french fries, with the power of the circulating air in such a small area , it does a great job. I use it more then my bigger one. I did some hard to find research on the preprogrammed buttons. And as in the instant pot these buttons allow a processor to control the heating element cycling, and the fan motor , how quickly or slowly it heats up, What temperature it heats up to? The duration it stays on. It may cycle between low , medium, high. Or even in the reverse order. These buttons are more sophisticated on the instant pot. Especially the rice button. These are truly smart Appliances . i really like my mini.

I was searching yesterday for a comparison between the Instant mini and the 4qt. Because I couldn't decide what would be best for me. Couldn't find any reviews comparing the two next to each other. So I finally opted for the mini. It should be arriving in 2 days. And today, seeing your video, I am so glad I did. the difference in footprint is huge. The best advice I ever got re purchasing an air fryer was "buy a bigger one than you think you'll need". Boy was that good advice. I originally ordered a Cosori that arrived damaged, so I returned it. My local Bed Bath & Beyond didn't have another unit for me to exchange, so I went next door to Walmart and bought the Vortex Plus and I've never looked back. I can cook two things together (in stages sometimes) instead of separately. There is never much oil when I air fry anyway, so I hold the grill plate down with tongs while I empty the contents of the basket.(some people complain that the grill plate falls out when they're trying to empty the contents of the basket.) Easy. I do not expect the silicone gripper thingies to last however, and the last time I checked, replacements were not available for purchase on the Instant website. The biggest failing with the entire line of Instant air fryer products, as far as I'm concerned, is the lack of any cooking guidance. This is a huge fail especially for a first-time air fryer purchaser. They can and should do better. And please don't anyone tell me to check their website, because their website doesn't differentiate the cooking times and temperatures from one of their air fryer devices to another. If their social media team paid any attention whatsoever to the comments from their purchasers they would realize this is a big issue. For example, no differentiation between a big air fryer oven model and a smaller unit. It's pretty useless. In fact, when I first purchased my Vortex Plus they didn't even list it on their website.🤷🏻♀️

I have the red Vortex Mini. The interior size is 6 5/8 inches X 6 5/8 inches X about 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 inches high. Love making food in it! ALSO - WARNING! Some commercial sprays, like PAM, have an ingredient in the propellant that causes non-stick coating to disintegrate over time. I now have a mist sprayer to put my Avocado Oil in.

Just got mine and this is my very first air fryer. I bought a 3.7qt and returned it without using it cuz it’s just too big. I have an aqua one and the built quality is probably the best among the small air fryers. Love it, tried the French fries earlier today and it exceeded my expectation. I didnt realize I have to do a test run before I placed my French fries. Hope I didn’t eat too much toxins :-(
@@sailormom5689 You can place the potatoes in the bowl and mixed with oil before placing them in the air fryer. Another option is place the potatoes in the air fryer and spread them with oil. If you buy the frozen fries from supermarket, you don’t need to add any oil as they already coated with it.
My toastmaster that I bought from Belk didn't say anything about breaking it in before cooking. Never tasted anything funny or got the plastic smell. The Instant was just bought today. I haven't used it yet. I did a major kitchen clean before setting it up. I'll try it out tomorrow.
A friend of mine bought me this for Christmas and I cannot wait to use it. I wish I had the bigger one but I really wanted one and didn’t want my friend to spend too much money on it. This was on sale for $35 at Walmart. I Think I am going to get rid of my toaster oven since it in the air fryer hold about the same amount, and possibly my microwave and just get a tea kettle to warm up water for coffee & tea. I love that this one has an LED screen and the knob looks easy to turn which is nice since my disability affects my hand strength. Within about six months of using my toaster oven all of the numbers wore off around the time dial so I have to assume I’m setting it for the right time.

I've been considering buying the oven. How long have you had it? What kind of cabinet clearance does it require from the unit to top of cabinets? Some air fryer oven units need 9" which I could never manage in my kitchen.
@@lisab.3091 my kitchen is no bigger than a Barbie dolls kitchen. I bring the air fryer oven away from the wall a wee bit. You only have to make sure there is enough space all around the oven so it's not bang up against anything so there is good even flow. I have mine on my counter on an angle when I'm using it then when finished it sits on a shelf till next time. I've air fried steak, whole chicken, fries, veggies, pork chops, wings, hamburgers etc. Tons of videos on the subject but once you are comfortable with it you'll never stop using it. Hope this helps you decide on getting one.

As a college student, this made my life so much easier and i've been using it for a year and still works perfect !!

You can cook them without oil but adding just a bit of oil (about a tablespoon) Makes the fries much better ☺️
