Yes, I filmed this video before I got my haircut! 😆💇♀️ One more thing I've noticed since filming this video is how exceptionally quiet this model is... Even quieter than our old 6qt Vortex. Sometimes I have to go check if I actually turned it on because it's so quiet. 👍🏼
@Indigo Nili love that you showed how to turn off beeps, are all beeping sounds silenced , my little dog is terrified over any beeping sounds , hoping all sounds can be silenced ?
I purchased the exact same 4qt air fryer and I love it. I removed that unsighty front sticker by heating it with a hair dryer and gently peeling it off. I then cleaned any residual adhesive with Goo Gone.
Such an amazing review.. this is the first time that I don’t skip a minute of any review videos ive watched .. i just bought this air fryer and was wondering if it was worth it.. thank you sooooo much
Your review is super helpful! Great size comparison at this end. Seeing that the 4 qt one has nearly the same dimensions as the 2 qt, I decided to buy the 4 qt. Thank you!
The most useful review I have seen so far. Size comparison at the end was perfect. Loving your use of quarts as a volume measurement and fractions instead of percentages, takes me back to the good old days. Hugs from England :)
Thank you i’m glad to share this and buying an air fryer A 4 quart is perfect for me and you know what in the big ones sometimes you have to wait a little longer for those wings to get crispy
Great review. Thank you for showing the different sizes. I'm debating whether to get the 4 or 6 quart. While I like the bigger capacity of the 6, I don't like that it'll take up that much more counter space. It's just for one person, so I think the 4 quart would do.
Your video was totaly perfect. I couldn’t decide what size to go with. After viewing your video I’m totaly convinced now which size to get in this brand. Your awesome
I briefly looked at the specifications on the different sizes and a couple of different brands. I was given an instant pot a few years ago and enjoy its ease of use, so is one. Then I read the reviews and started watching videos….all of which reinforced the option as the best choice for me. We are a family of 6, but the kids are in college and high school, so we eat at different times. Also we have several food issues, so we usually only cook for 2-3 at a time. Looks like this will suit. Also we use a countertop oven, so have a larger convection oven for larger amounts. It just irritates me when the kids cook one serving of nuggets and fries, then the next kid does the same….it’s a waste of energy. This should help. Thank you for such a nice review. Ok, a bit of honesty…I actually bought it because I use fried tofu and paneer cheese in my cooking. It splutters when fried in a pan. I’m tired of getting popped with hot ghee! The kids reason is the justification to buy it. Who could justify such an item to fry paneer cheese to add into Indian vegetable dishes😂😉
I am glad I read your review. I got this only today and hasn’t gotten around to use it. So I was frying paneer on the stovetop and like you said the oil spluttered all over the stove. Now thanks to you I know I can fry tofu and paneer in this. Thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks to my instant pot ultra mini and vortex 4qt air fryer, haven’t needed to use oven at all during this heat wave. We have just 1 window air conditioner & usually have takeout, cook outside, or just eat cold food during hot weather. This has been amazing!
Great review… I bought (4qt) on prime day… I love the size and that it’s so quiet! Just two of us now and have never cooked prepared foods. So far sweet potato chunks with some seasonings have been our favorites….
I have the mini and ❤ it. Got it for $29 one day on Amazon. I got it for my tiny RV but use it in the house. We’re only two so it’s a decent size. I’m thinking of getting a larger one at some point though.
Thank you for the video. It was very informative and useful. My wife and I were researching on which air fryer to buy as our first air fryer after moving the US a few months back, and your video was timely. We really liked the in-depth review of the insta brand. After seeing your video we came to a conclusion that the 4 quart would be ideal for us. Your video helped us decide what we wanted and placed an order on Amazon. Thank you for the Great video.
My 4 quart arrived this afternoon. Air fried French fries, Brussels sprouts and squash and 4 sausages. Everything was delicious! Thanks for the great video. Great explanation with clear voice!😄
I found the same issue with the rubber feet on my 6qt vortex. I contacted the company and was told the rubber feet aren’t actually meant for cooking, only stability during shipping and that they intend for people to remove them for cooking. Just thought I would share.
I adopted a 4qt air fryer and know nothing about them. Thank you for the tips. I was looking for a square basket or the silicone muffin pan for eggs for this small fryer. Now I’m going to make your chicken too.
Excellent review. Thanks for making sense of the various cooking modes. I was very close to ordering the 2-quart mini to save counter space, but seeing that there is little difference in size, I will be ordering the 4-quart.
This brand and model - Vortex Plus - is the top recommended air fryer by America’s test kitchen - and they really put thing through lots of tests! I want one but I have 2 others that work well.
Your video is super helpful but I'm still not sure between the 4 qt. and 6 qt. size. I like the smaller footprint of the 4 qt. but it looks like it might be too small to bake a whole chicken in it. Does anyone have personal experience they can share?
My only issue with the Vortex rubber attachments is they get loose after awhile and food stuff gets stuck in them. So you have to take them off and clean that area, then get them back on. So that wears them out. I can see the 4 qt for 1 person. I am able to get 12-14 wings in the 6 qt and 4 large baking potatoes in it as well.
Take a minute to warm up the sticker with a blow dryer, most stickers come off alot easier after the adhesive is warmed yp. Thank you for the review - I still haven't added one to our small kitchen and I appreciate all your helpful info before I do. 🤗
I like your new air fryer. I also dropped the drawer too and the handle came off, but I reattached it with some duct tape and hope it holds up for now. Not ready to shell out more money for a new one just yet. I have the six quart and it is still going strong, even with me dropping the drawer. I discovered that WD-40 is great for removing stickers. It doesn't take much and it will come right off. I then just washed it in some Dawn and Hot water and no smell of the WD-40. I used to have a Nuwave and the Instant Pot air fryer is much better.
Just bought one it arrives July 29 ( tomorrow) small kitchen and just two of us eating less these days on keto / carnivore so hope it’s perfect thanks . Also ordered a couple of silicone bowls to cook in in it can’t wait .
Excellent video!! You have answered practically every question I had. I was leaning towards the 4 quart But I saw in a Facebook group that many people are having many problems with it.
I have the Ninja air fryer and grill.. I love it and use it daily. It does great with bacon and sausage.. Next time I might get an Instant brand just to try.
Good review! Exactly what I would want to know, if I was on the market for one of those. I got the Ninja Air Fryer Foodie Grill a couple months ago, because I was impressed with how high the temperature goes in that one. 265C/509F. Turns out, I still like my steaks better panfried though, lol. So I could just have gotten a regular one for half the price. I don't like the way the huge, heavy lid has to be opened up and that you don't have a removable basket. Plus, the beeping is very loud and annoying. And yes...they should totally tell you, that the presettings are just a way to save time and don't actually do different things. I live in an apartment and basically don't dare to use it at night, because I'm afraid, my neighbors will hear it. It's that loud.
I bought the smaller one. I'm very happy with it. But I think I might have bought the 4 quart if I had known that both take up about the same amount of counter space.
Thanks for explaining the different settings. That always confused me! Do you make toast with the egg bread in fryer? I still can’t figure that out. Lol.. TIA
I've been reading all these reviews. Because I'm interested in this air fryer. She's fine a great review of this product. But some questions asked are good too. I wish she would answer some.
I’ve been pondering for a while whether to buy an air fryer. I just have so many appliances such as soup makers etc and they all end up just sitting around collecting dust. Are you cooking a lot of your keto stuff in it? Is it essentially like a normal oven?
Thanks for the video! I've been comparing the Instant Pot Vortex to the Cosori Pro. Do you prefer the Instant Pot to the Cosori? Looking on your channel for compartison videos but didn't find any. Thanks!!
i have the small vortex and was wanting a bigger size but not too big, was going to get the cosori 3.7 but the thing I liked about the vortex is the roast, bake and broil feature but you are saying there is no difference in those functions they all do the same thing?
My microwave and toaster oven are wearing out. I’ve been on the fence but think this is good. We only use microwave for reheating. Glad there’s a reheat option. I can just teach my son to press that button and be patient. 6 of these would fill that footprint, by the way. I also watched a review on America’s Test Kitchen. They also preferred this model. If you recommend it, I’m sold. I just ordered it. P. S. ATK also made toast on the broil setting. Have you tried that?
Congratulations on the new air fryer, I have a 10 quart NuWave Brio and I really don’t like it. I don’t think the food gets really crispy at all. I have been looking at and researching a new one that is smaller and a basket-type. The one i have right now is more of an oven type, but without shelves in it. It is just one big basket, like the one you have but it opens from the top, not with a handle. I can fit a lot in it but it does not crisp well. It does cook well and we do like what comes out of it. I am definitely wanting a basket-type so I can flip food. So much easier to turn things, My favorite was my first air fryer, a Farberware 3.5 quart basket. It made really crispy food but I had to make many batches to get a lot of food out of it. It broke about 4 months after I got it. The basket dropped and it got misshapen. The basket fell out and the outside got bashed a bit and the basket wouldn’t fit in anymore. Such a shame because it was terrific. I went from that to a Power XL 6 quart with the stainless shelves. It was also a dehydrated. The handle on the door broke and they wouldn’t replace it. I also had trouble opening it but it still worked well. It was great for about 4 years and then the motor died. So sad. So I decided to go up in size. Sorry I did. Not happy with the 10 quart at all. Anyway congrats on the new machine. I hope you all love it,
I'm sure that the girls have outgrown making a train out of the boxes of this one! I don't know if Levi pretends like the girls did! Those wings looked incredible! I may try some uncooked chicken breast tenders in my drawer-type air fryer. I can only hope they turn out as well as your wings with bones did! I'll try my Trader Joe's EBTB seasoning on them! As always my absolute very very best to all of you including your pets and the stars of Chicken TV! Take care, all!

It does take up some space but America’s Test Kitchen rated it #1 and I cooked salmon in it the first day I had it I thought it was pretty quiet. This is the best video about air fryers that I have seen.
That’s the best explanation of the cooking programs in these air fryers I’ve seen.
This is the best review I have seen. Thank-you for being so detailed and providing advantages and disadvantages.
Surprisingly hard to find a photo of the side by side size comparison between these. Thank you!
Your review is super helpful! Great size comparison at this end. Seeing that the 4 qt one has nearly the same dimensions as the 2 qt, I decided to buy the 4 qt. Thank you!
Thank you for always producing videos that are helpful, simple and short!
The most useful review I have seen so far. Size comparison at the end was perfect. Loving your use of quarts as a volume measurement and fractions instead of percentages, takes me back to the good old days. Hugs from England :)
Very helpful review! The size comparison was surprising and just what I needed to know. Thank you! 😊
You covered everything we needed to know in a very nice organized manner. Thank you for this. You made my decision easy.
The best review ever!!! Thank you!!!
I have the silver Vortex Plus 6 qt. I'm a full-time RVer and use this air fryer constantly. Love it!

finally an air fryer where the sound can be turned off! every other unit has the loudest most obnoxious beeping sounds. I’m sold.
Thanks to my instant pot ultra mini and vortex 4qt air fryer, haven’t needed to use oven at all during this heat wave.

My 4 quart arrived this afternoon. Air fried French fries, Brussels sprouts and squash and 4 sausages. Everything was delicious! Thanks for the great video. Great explanation with clear voice!😄
Thanks for the review! Was looking for a compact air fryer and was surprised the 4qt was smaller than the mini.
nice review ....just ordered the 4 qt .. this will be my first air frier ... excited to try a bunch of recipes
I wonder if the difference in the cooking types might have to do with fan speed. Fry, top speed. Bake, lower speed air flow.
I'm a college student and i live alone, so i bought the mini vortex air fryer, it really made my life easier, i use it everyday for everything lmao
Many thanks - this was super helpful, and very clear, and has started me off on my air fryer journey!
I found the same issue with the rubber feet on my 6qt vortex. I contacted the company and was told the rubber feet aren’t actually meant for cooking, only stability during shipping and that they intend for people to remove them for cooking. Just thought I would share.
I read that whole book. And I don't remember that. It's nice to know because it's hard to get that thing out of there.
That is 100% WRONG
@@laurahudson8210 She's wrong
I adopted a 4qt air fryer and know nothing about them. Thank you for the tips. I was looking for a square basket or the silicone muffin pan for eggs for this small fryer. Now I’m going to make your chicken too.
I used lemon essential oil to get the sticker off. Works like a charm.

The settings are so similar to their pressure cooker ❤️ I love it thanks for the review
Can you cook a whole chicken is the 4 qt? I like the idea of the smaller footprint but I would like to roast whole chickens in it.

Can we use casserole dishes in dis fryer? Foil can we line d basket wid it
Yes, but Only on the “Bake” setting

What are the exact dimensions (Length x Width) inside the basket? I'm more interested in the Area, rather than the Volume.

I have been thinking about getting a new air fryer- I have an air fryer oven- oven works great, air fryer, well not so great.
If you use rubbing alcohol on the sticker it will come off and all of the sticky stuff wil rub right off like it’s nothing
How do you turn off the constant beeping in these devils??
I really want to buy this brand but I am constantly coming across reviews mentioning a bad smell emanating while cooking. How strong is this bad smell n for how many runs does it last and haven't the makers corrected this yet? Will the smell enter my food as well?
i believe it’s mentioned in the manual, just clean it and run it once without food and the smell should be gone.
All new electronics have this smell… it’s not that bad and it will soon go away.
Instant should send you a new basket to replace 6 qt broken handle.
I don't recall you mentioning it but the 2qt mini is half the price of the 4qt vortex. I am a single guy and bought the 2qt mini, It is great but I wish I would have gotten something bigger.
