- Pro chef Saúl Montiel from Cantina Rooftop and home cook Gina are swapping recipes and hitting the kitchen to make tacos. We provided Gina with all the ingredients necessary to make chef Saúl’s gourmet $396 quesadilla recipe, sending only $20 worth of your typical, store-bought stuff back the other way. Will Saúl elevate Gina's modest materials into a fancy feast? Can Gina keep up with the demands of Saúl’s recipe? Which taco looks better to you?

Chef Saul is such a chill kind of guy, I could listen to him talk about cooking for hours.
Gina makes such adorable noises when she's transferring things while cooking. lol
I agree, but $396 tacos is… insane
@@Sniperboy5551 TBF most of these videos count all the ingredients. Like they get a $100 bottle of wine for a recipe that only needs a cup - so really the wine cost is $33.
😮@@Sniperboy5551
@@Sniperboy5551 The whole point is for them to be ridiculously expensive vs ridiculously cheap
@@Sniperboy5551you didn't se the chicken Alfredo one didn't you
Price spoil
13$vs1425$
I'm going to keep requesting this. Get Saul and Frank to switch expensive ingredients!
Yesssssss
Please do this!
Yes!
THIS
I like this new chef! She's knowledgeable but unafraid to say she doesn't know something, I find that quite humble 😊
And she’s adorable, that doesn’t hurt.
And she tastes as she goes!
@@Sniperboy5551Jesus loves you ❤️ please turn to him and repent before it's too late. The end times described in the Bible are already happening in the world.

She's absolutely annoying. Her voice is cringey and makes me think of nails on a chalkboard. To each their own.
Love it. More cross-culture cuisine meals, please!
X2 !!!
I love cross-culture cuisine meals.
Yes! Without cross-culture influences we wouldn’t have Tacos Al Pastor.
@eddietorres5655 I moved to Mexico 2 years ago and just taught myself how to make al pastor! I don't have a trompo though, so I just slow cooked a pork tenderloin in the marinade. I think that made it a little more like cochinita pibil, but not half bad for a gringa! Haha
Please bring Gina back! She has such cute and can-do personality 😊 I love the combo of her with Saul!
Saúl is always a legend here, Gina was awesome and made it look easy without any complaints - more Gina and Saúl please!
Gina worked so hard, she deserved that shot! Cheers!
05:01 - "Gracias Korea"
Please do not eat the toothpicks
That’s like a tv ad 😭😭😭
Amé
meme worthy for sure
Me the first time I had Korean BBQ
As a Korean, I love to see the culture mash up because both cuisines have such flavor in their foods!
That combo sounds like it would rip a hole in the matrix. Delicious!
Honestly for Gina to do something very elaborate she went above and beyond! And of course Saul’s chaotic energy and talent was really satisfying. I’ll love to see more of Saul and Gina in the future.
This is an adorable pairing omg
Saul and his spoon drop...LOL!
I would buy Saul Spoon Drop merch if Epicurious came out with it!!
More Gina please. She is absolutely adorable and talented!
That was so fun, Gina is a great addition and of course Chef Saul is phenomenal as always😁
Saúl and Gina are both so wholesome, we love you.
i saw saul and got excited for this episode
I'm a simple person. I see Saúl, I click.
I love that this was Chef Saul's first experience with kimchi! He is such a joy to watch.
Chef Saul is by far my favorite chef to watch.
Chef Saul is my favorite because he reminds me of my dad so much and is just as smart and funny as him like having exactly the same humor 😂 (I really miss my dad 😢)
I see Saul, I click.
Me tooo😂❤
Absolutely!
"I just created something" - drops spoon -
Is impossible not to love Saul and his humor
The best part of the video was how Chef Saul said yay it's Christmas
Gina could be a voice actor for Disney, enjoyed the vid
So pleased to meet you Gina!
🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🖤🤍🤎
Love Gina personality on video. Also loves that she brought tacos with a korean twist instead of just basic mexican or texmex tacos ☺️
Wouldn’t it be cool if pro chefs swapped ingredients
Omg I love Gina. Her voice is so soothing and she’s absolutely adorable!!
This was super fun!! I loved the cross-cultural swap. Gina and Saul are both wonderful!
"you should come to my moms's house"...... TAKE THE HINT SAUL !!!!!!
Was thinking the same thing 😂🤣
Rizzed her up with his cooking alone 😏
You want him to do your mom
He is married with kids!!😅
Saul not only professional and comical, but inspirational. Thank you!
I see Saul I click, but now every time I see Gina, I'll click too
I love korean people they are literally artists when it comes to flavour
I love the way Saul drops the spoon as an expression of amazement.
As a Mexican living outside of mexico I’m so depressed tacos de canasta de barbacoa cost 396 dollars when in Mexico I could get that for like 60dollars at a fancy restaurant 😭😭💔 also I adore him so much
Rich white people need to make money off of exploiting the actual talent :/
396 is the cost to purchase every single one of the ingredients in bulk for a super high end version, the price for a single portion is probably closer to 60
@@skyem5250 yeah but for 60 I would get like 30 tacos ahhha
Saul is hands down my favorite chef that you guys feature on here.
Saul is literally the best chef
I have updated the billboard to say “0 days have passed since last time Chef Saul dropped a spoon”
I love this segment of epicuriouos. It's like let's see what a pro chef can make and oh yeah, what else can a pro chef make? Lol
I like this Gina, she adds a lotta fun to these videos!
So who do we blame for chef Saul not having his own cooking show yet?
I love Saúl ❤
Such a great chef and the exchange of ingredients makes these videos fun! She did a great job!
I love Saúl's attitude here. Surprised by Korean ingredients he isn't used to cooking with, but he doesn't complain. He creates a delicious sounding Mexican-Korean combo
YES! Chef Saul is back!!!
Both of these chefs are adorable - can I please just have them move in with me and I will provide all the ingredients they want?!💚💚💚
As an ethnic Korean with an undying love of Méxican food... this is beyond epic ❤❤❤❤
Si Saúl está en un video, sabemos que va a valer la pena.
They both have such cute personalities 🥰
It’s Christmas! Oh Saul.
I can't believe we haven't done one of these with tacos yet!
gained a bunch of respect fot Gina as the video ended!
Let's go, Gina's getting more screentime!!
I see Saul, I click

Gina my gosh she is awesome and what more can I say about Chef Saul he is always my favorite! Great job!
I love Chef Saúl
I love love chef Saul ❤ he gives me Tio vibes
I learn so much every time with these this is awesome
Chef Saul is kind'a becoming the "spoon bae" :x
9:38 that ‘onion-onion-onion-onion’ was so cute and adorable🥹
This is the most adorable woman I've ever seen in my life.
Gina is adorable.
"A new challenger has appeared!"
I've tried so hard with Kimchi. It's just far too funky for me.
I like Marmite, anchovy paste, fish sauce, Miso, yogurt, and every once in a blue moon, a little sauerkraut on a Reuben or a Hebrew National hot dog, but I just can't develop a taste for kimchi, and it seems to be going into everything these days.
It reminds me of Southern "Chow Chow," which I also don't like.
I can't figure out if I've tried the wrong kinds, or if it's one of those things my taste buds simply do not enjoy.
Wow, both dishes are awesome!
I'm kind of curious as to Gina's recipe for her $20 tacos. Looks pretty simple and easy.
I really like how the comments have little inside jokes that u have to watch multiple episodes to understand, like emily being ketchup girl etc...
Loved the episode!
Love the new chef.. she was great and saul of course is the best..
Saul's doesn't look so bad price-wise, I feel like you could make 200 tacos.
Saul is the goat
Chef Saul can come make me tacos anytime. 🌮 🌶️
The new Chef Gina is amazing. She could also do voice acting 😍
Saul the goat
Yay top 105 comments. Love this series. Thanks for making this content.
pls post more im running out of videos to watch while i eat
Welcome Gina!
Saúl Montiel is the greatest
Best duo chefs
Both did a great job! Looked incredible... deserved that shot hahaha
Wow amazing
Chef Saul is such a cap trying not to hurt her feelings!! Those do not loook like tacos de canasta😅😅😅😅
At 6:19, I thought Chef Saul said "That's what I f*ckin' want!" XD
This chef should consider a side career as a voice actor in addition to cooking.
If anyone has a quick carnita or al pastor taco recipe, please let me know! I doubt I have the ingredients and spices in my pantry, but whatever you think is a staple then I will get it! I have never made tacos before but would love to try a recipe that's more on the simple and easy side 🤗
Sous vide reecirculators are pretty cheap now. You can just throw some bacon in hot water over night and squeeze some oj over the bacon tortillas. ✌
Oh what a great pair
we need more Gina!
Chef Saul ❤❤❤❤❤
que ricos taquitos compa
19 dollars for coriander seeds and oregano alone sounds a bit too much.
Did she just Rick-Roll? Gonna lift you up
Is Gina new? I like her!
Gracias Korea!
Great segment.
