I want an ongoing Saul and Lorenzo Show. They make food, make jokes, eat the food, make more jokes. Same format for a Frank and Beth show, with the added element of spoiling the kids/grandkids. And Emily should be a regular guest on both, showing up with ketchup and Canadian beer.
Chef Frank and Beth just teamed up on a video on Frank's channel, and while they were at it, they announced Beth has her own channel, too! Go check them out :) Emily has teamed up for some of Frank's videos as well and I would NOT be surprised if she was a guest on one of Beth's videos some day. If you added Lorenzo and Saul, you'd have the kind of party the police show up to :)
I thought Lorenzo was the most charming man in Epicurious because of how he just oozes confidence in everything he does. But I was wrong, Saul just embodies confidence, everything he does just burst with confidence. If you look for the meaning of Confidence and Charming, Saul will probably be there as an example.
He should add some of his mom or grandmas recipes, but probably like my mexican grandma she wont tell you how to make it and you have to cook w her to get recipes.
It’s awesome to see how much more confident Lorenzo has become, when he saw that fish he was just,” hey fishy “🤣 where he would have been like oh my god what is this, FISH NACHOS
I had a huge freaking smile throughout the video. watching Saul makes me smile HAHAHA. I love "everytime I cook, I'm impressed" and "what's better than cheese? more cheese." I live by that now HAHAHA.
I think there's no more underrated combo than a Pinoy and a Mexican. We are brothers from another mother, but from the same father hahaha! I'm glad to see you two together! Such joy!
Everyone's talking about Saul's take on Mexican cheese, or impressing himself with his cooking. But nobody's talking about how he straight up just decided that it was Modelo time and handed Lorenzo a beer. Chad energy
Saul has so inspired me, now whenever I make ANYTHING, from salsa, to spaghetti, to meatloaf, I ALWAYS char my vegetables first!! So much flavor! Thank you chef!
Its amazing how much experience and technique can bring to a dish. Lorenzo’s refined cooking skills made the expensive dish shine as its supposed to taste. Then we have Chef Saul always adding that Chef’s kiss to a modest set of ingredients. Wonderful episode, Epicurious!
I enjoy that the home cook is good enough that he's having a good time and we're not frustrated with him, while the professional is creative enough that he makes something new. Delightful energy between these 2.
In here Indonesia, specially in my hometown. We have some kind of Tamales like dish we called Lepet, instead using meat in this dish, we used sweet corn and shredded coconut. Its sweet and delicious.
Hey bro, I have been in the food service industry for about 20 years with experience ranging from prep/line cook to kitchen manager for boh. I have never seen nachos made like you did in that skillet. My recipes for all Mexican dishes came directly from the 'horses mouth' so to speak learning from my fellow cooking homies from Mexico. I just plain love Mexican dishes they taste great, are fun to make, I cannot wait to make nachos like what you just showcased. Thanks for taking the time to make this and other videos.
I looooove Saúl’s energy and also the contrast between his original elevated (and more faithful to mexican cuisine) nachos vs fully embracing the american loaded nacho ingredients. Truly excellent ep.
Lorenzo , I'm impressed! You make it look so easy(even when it's not) fileting a fish takes practice and different fish means different techniques.. this one i haven't tried. Thanks!!
Both sides of this video were amazing! Lorenzo doing a decent job putting together a pro chef's dish, and chef Saul taking basically nothing and making something great blew my mind!
That Maza Harina brand was always in the kitchen growing up. My grandma & my mom would always make tortillas from scratch and then cut them into tortilla chips for chilaquiles. Also chiles guajillo, chiles anchos, chiles de arbol and chiles serranos were always in the pantry. Watching this is so nostalgic. They both did an amazing job! Both nachos look scrumptious👅🥙💖
I agree with Chef Saúl. The "mexican" cheese blend is not mexican at all. In México we don't have that. Adding water to the can of beans... A man of culture. Eres la mamada chef
Lorenzo is my favorite home cook in this series, the energy he brings is amazing and he seems so genuine. Everyone is good, of course, but I once I see his face I know I’m gonna watch it 😂
Don't know if you'll see this or not cuz the videos old but Lorenzo got your cookbook for my birthday and I was so excited and still am I can't wait to try your recipes in the future

Saul is a national treasure. He has easily become my favorite chef in these series.
For me my favorite pro chefs are frank, Chris and Saul. They're all so great and usually don't deviate from the idea of the dish as much.
same haha 😅
@@lorgaraurelian5104 Frank does not deviate from the recipe that much? What? :DDD

I love me some Saul too.
I loved it, cracked me up!

Can we please have more Mexican and Filipino meals made by these two every week? They are hands down THE BEST DUO on Epicurious.
PLease!! Epicurious we mean it!!

pls pls pls!!!!
No they arent best duo
Frank and lorenzo are the best duo
Love Chef Saul! "Every time I cook, I am impressed" that´s the energy! 7:29

It made me think of my mom, she says stuff like that whenever she cooks. She’ll take a taste and be like “wow I am SO good” 😂

What’s fun is there are some Mexican blend cheeses that have taco seasoning sprinkled in there lol

@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ no thanks, I'd rather sacrifice my daughter to the sun god in order to make the wheat grow.
Chef Saul needs a t shirt that says "every time I cook, I'm impressed"
That would definitely add to his "bad boy" image. 😂
They should get him a shirt that says “Bad Boy”
We need Saul's Merch ASAP
That's a great idea! Or on an apron 👍🏽

Saul is just so smooth with it
Duh he’s a bad boy!
Saul is what we like in Frank and Lorenzo
The perfect pair.
Chef Saul should come out with a Mexican cook book
He should add some of his mom or grandmas recipes, but probably like my mexican grandma she wont tell you how to make it and you have to cook w her to get recipes.
And let Lorenzo cook those recipes, they should have a duo TH-cam channel for cooking!
I was so disappointed when I started binging these videos and found out that Saul didn't have a book.

Right?!? I learn so much from how Saúl combines the same ingredients into something that is just that much more complex in terms of flavor profile!

Chef Saúl is incredible. Great sense of humor, fantastic delivery - please get more of him. Or give him his own series.
I love this pairing. Chef Saul and Lorenzo are always a show worth watching.
You could try this with the same characters but with tamales because Filipino tamales are very different from Mexican tamales.
Yes more of Lorenzo and Saúl
Venezuela has their own tamales version too and are amazing, a 3 ways for tamales???
Guatemalan tamales are also very different
