Josh I don’t know how often you actually read comments but I’ve made dinner and dessert probably 10 times in the last month strictly from your book and channel and my friends think I’m a great cook now. Doing the lords work brother 🤝
Funny thing is: in Mexico basically any food is turned into a taco (if you are a fan of tortillas, that is) because you can eat with tortillas if you want to. When he said breakfast taco, I was like 'what? any taco can be a breakfast taco' (I was thinking pastor, bistec, etc.). But when he put the egg on it... I realized... That's just breakfast. When eating eggs for breakfast, most people heat up two or three tortillas and make tacos with their eggs. (His tacos look delicious, by the way. Buy yeah, I had a moment of enlightenment here)
We do eat tacos for breakfast tho… tacos de canasta (potato, chorizo, chicharron prensado, refried beans, etc…), tacos de cochinita, carnitas, milanesa (breaded chicken, pork or beef), barbacoa, birria (hangover cure), tacos de guiso (basically anything inside a tortilla), and the list goes on and on…

I love the faster concept, but I kinda figure this is less practical than prepping food for a couple of days. Would you mind making a few videos going over some of the prep work you can do ahead of time to make things more quickly? For example, what did the restaurant do so that they could make tacos in 5-10 minutes? As a working parent, I have time over the weekend to cut vegetables and marinate meat, but not necessarily during the week.
For this video specifically I'd say you could get the sauce done from before to be one step ahead by the time you want to make the tacos. Maybe get the meat ready from the night before and so on, but in general this specific recipe is pretty possible to get done quick. For more general recipes, as you said, the meat marinate and maybe cut veggies (but not so long before that they get dried up) as long as they don't go in lime juice that could oxidize or get soggy are a good step. Making things like broth and stock during the weekend, that you can use as a base for a lot of things, or having a good batch of white rice for at least few days of the week can help a lot, and definitely make your own pickled veggies and stuff to have something tasty to just put on anything you make to add an extra flavour to it.

The big thing that's never mentioned in "but faster" is the assumption that you have the ingredients in your pantry to make the food. What if I have to go the the store first and buy beef or a jalapeno or cilantro?
Well then you won’t have to next time because you already have them. If you make a recipe regularly you’re gonna buy the ingredients every time you go shopping so you’re not gonna run out.

those new zooms are nice josh
I think it’s more enjoyable to watch the videos where you focus on quality and cost effectiveness rather than speed, but do whatever you enjoy the most.
He uses a 30 dollar steak to make tacos then brags about how great his meat tastes. Fast tacos? Who is cleaning the kitchen next hour, btw?
More of Ulises! Id lol watching him cook and Josh pickup takeout 😂
Lol you should do a series called even faster. Where you clean up before the restaurant food arrives.
🤣🤣🤣 I love when Josh does these!!! LOL
I got your book yesterday
Yes, a good taco is a good balance of flavours
I felt the chaos through the screen in this one
Tacos a go go 😍
If I was driving there would be no competition lmao
Joshua, I have one suggestion on assembly. The breakfast taco, place the cheese on top of the hot eggs and sausage instead of putting the pico on. The cheese will melt better.
I’m very late to this party but I have two questions:
1. Why not use skirt steak?
2. What’s the cost comparison analysis? The butter you used on the steak alone cost as much as one of those restaurant tacos.
But otherwise, well done!!!
papa went all SPEEEEDDDDDD I AM SPEEEED on this
that steak is rarer than sightings of a father figure in my life tbh
Go Astros!
That City Connect hat is fire.
